By Florent Grelier Transport & Environment is a Brussels-based federation of around 50 organisa-tions around Europe with a mission to pro-mote, at EU and global level, a transport policy based on the principles of sustaina-ble development. It focuses on policies that have the poten-tial to achieve the greatest environmental benefits. These include transport pricing so that polluters, not society, pay for pollu-tion, setting standards for the cleanest pos-sible cars, vans, lorries, ships, planes and fuels and greening EU investment in transport. The presentation will cover a broad range of topics with a remind of the global cli-mate goals to be achieved, the impact of transportation in climate change and pub-lic health, the reasons of the current auto-gate issue and what needs to be done to shift to electro-mobility in the future.
