Over 200 participants attended the opening program which included the singing of the national anthem, doxology, and an inspirational message. Various speakers then presented on topics like the Basic Education Research Agenda, writing trends for action research, and statistical software that can be used for research. The event also included an oral presentation of selected research studies and a poster presentation session. The festival provided an opportunity for educators to gain knowledge and experiences from speakers to help make them more effective in their teaching.

2. Introduction
Action research has this positive effect
for many reasons. Obviously, the most
important is that action research is
always relevant to the participants.
Relevance is guaranteed because the
focus of each research project is
determined by the researchers, who
are also the primary consumers of the
findings. Perhaps even more
important is the fact that action
research helps educators be more
effective at what they care most
about—their teaching and the
development of their students. Seeing
students grow is probably the greatest
joy educators can experience. When
