SCHOOL-BASED SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON
PREPARATION OF ACTION RESEARCH
I. School-Based Seminar-Workshop on Action Research
Date: March 21, 2024, at 8:00- 12:00 AM.
Venue: San Carlos Elementary School
Participants: San Carlos Elementary School 22 teachers and 1 school head
II. Rationale:
One of the developmental needs of teachers is the skill in creating and crafting an
action research. Action research is a great way to build Community of Practice (COP’s)
that can answer classroom struggles and difficulties. 21st century teachers are creative,
dynamic and ready to face challenges like writing and crafting action researches.
Innovative teachers dare to make new changes inside and outside their classrooms,
investigating problems and uncovering their own solutions. Taking the above mentioned
as premise, San Carlos Elementary School will be holding a whole day School-Based
Seminar-Workshop on Writing Action Research pursuant to DepEd Order No. 16, s. 2017
(Research Management Guidelines) and DepEd No. 43, S. 2015, which is also known as
Amendments to the Revised Basic Education Fund (BERF).
Action research enables teachers to reflect on what would like to change, explore
and experiment inside and outside the classroom settings. By these, teachers gain insights
into teaching and learning, and becoming more effective and reflective in the classroom
and school. Thus, these studies aim to allow our learners to explore different topics, gather
information, and progress deeper understanding of various perceptions and concepts.
Thus, will improve the lives of our school children and the whole community itself.
