Narrative Essays
Crafting an essay on the subject of narrative essays may initially seem like a straightforward task,
given the familiarity with the genre. However, delving into the intricacies of narrative writing
presents its own set of challenges. The difficulty lies not only in constructing a coherent
storyline but also in striking the delicate balance between vivid storytelling and conveying a
meaningful message.
One must navigate through the nuanced art of weaving personal experiences into a compelling
narrative while ensuring that the underlying theme resonates with the audience. Selecting the
right anecdotes, structuring them in a logical sequence, and maintaining a captivating tone pose
considerable challenges. It's a task that demands introspection, creativity, and the ability to
articulate thoughts in a manner that engages readers on an emotional level.
The challenge intensifies when attempting to transcend the boundaries of a mere personal
account. Effective narrative essays transcend the individual, offering universal insights or
perspectives that resonate with a broader audience. Achieving this requires a keen understanding
of the balance between specificity and universality, ensuring that readers can both empathize
with the personal journey and glean broader insights applicable to their own lives.
Additionally, the process of revising and refining a narrative essay is intricate. It involves not
only polishing the language but also scrutinizing the coherence of the storyline and the impact of
the chosen details. Striking the right chord with readers necessitates multiple revisions, each
aimed at enhancing the clarity of expression and the emotional resonance of the narrative.
In conclusion, the task of writing an essay on narrative essays extends beyond mere storytelling;
it requires a meticulous blend of creativity, introspection, and literary finesse. The writer must
navigate the challenging terrain of personal narrative while simultaneously considering the
broader implications for the audience. It is an undertaking that demands time, effort, and a
commitment to refining the narrative to achieve a powerful and lasting impact.
For those seeking assistance with essays or similar academic endeavors, various resources are
available. One such option is HelpWriting.net, where similar essays and a plethora of writing

Synthesis Essay On The Melting Pot
The United States has a motto, e pluribus unum, that suggests that in America,
embracing diversity creates unity. Long ago, during the 1900s, assimilation was
considered to be crucial in order for a naturalization process to occur. Immigrants
were forced to assimilate and adopt to the American culture, in which they had never
been introduced to before. Over time, things evolved and changed to the point where
people began to assimilate to a certain point, but still have their cultural traditions,
giving America a nickname known as the Melting Pot. America being known as The
Melting Pot, defends the claim that in today s society, The United Statesof America is
moving toward a new standard in which diversity and individuality are encouraged
more than uniformity and conformity. Before a naturalization ceremony occurs, the
United States citizens still have their cultural ideas and languages being spoken along
with them. In Source 1, it s a picture of citizens all waving American flags, with a
subtitle of, New U.S. Citizens wave American flags before being sworn in at a
naturalization ceremony. This is proving that even though the citizens have not yet
been fully naturalized, they still have their culturealong with... Show more content on

In Source 2, it states, What it means to be American in spirit, in blood is something
far more borrowed and comingled than anything previous generations ever knew.
Alongside the pain of immigration, then, and the possibility, there is this truth:
America is white no longer, and it will never be white again. This evidence is
proving that it doesn t mean much to be assimilated into American culture, but to be
spirited as an American. This issue has disappeared over time, as this source is
stating that America is white no longer and will never be white again. This is
meaning that America is known as the melting pot nowadays, and is not considered
white
Difference Between Progressive Movement And Populist
Movement
Both the progressive and populist movements felt that the way the current industrial
society was set up was unfair and favored the political elites. The differences between
the two movements mostly fell into what kind of areas they took place in, and what
specifically they were trying to change. The populist movement started out as the
Farmers Alliance in the 1870s, and began moving throughout the south and west
mostly in rural areas such as farms. They pursued many reforms in that times society
such as education funding, infrastructure, workplace reform and support of
agriculture. One person who was a big part of the populist movement was William
Jennings Brian, the Democratic presidential nominee in 1896. He sought to change

William Jefferson Clinton was born on August 19, 1946, in Hope, Arkansas. His

by his mothers second husband, Roger Clinton, making him William Jefferson

Antonin Scalia, Supreme Court Justice
Antonin Scalia was born March 11, 1936 in an Italian majority section of Trenton,
New Jersey. His father, Eugene Scalia was a literary scholar and a professor of
Romance Languages at Brooklyn College. His mother was an elementary school
teacher.
Scalia attended Xavier High School, a Catholic Military academy. He graduated,
first in his class, in 1953. One of his good friends once said: He was brilliant, way
above everybody else. He later majored in History at Georgetown University in
Washington, D.C., where he again graduated first in his class. Soon after leaving
Georgetown, he enrolled in Harvard Law School, where he was known around the
campus as an effective debater.
From Harvard he earned an LL. B. Degree and in 1960 joined the Cleveland based
law firm Jones, Day, Cockly and Reavis. He was one of the most straightforward
conservatives on the staff and there too earned a reputation as a debater.
Later, President Richard Nixon appointed Scalia to the position of Part time General
Counsel in Executive Office of Telecom Policy. He was confirmed by Congress
under the Gerald Ford administration for the position of Assistant Attorney General
in charge of the Justice Department s office of legal counsel. At that time his job was

Essay on Attempts to Establish a National Identification...
Although some countries have national identity cards, there has been an extensive
debate about their use here in the United States. According to Eliot (2009), the first
driver s license went into effect in New York in 1910 (p. 11). Other states followed
suit. The Social Security Act passed in the 1930 s required all citizens to have a
unique nine digit number in order to receive social security benefits.
(SocialSecurity.gov, para 1) Today, it is common knowledge that all employers are
required to request and verify a social security number at the start of employment.

Pablo, The King Of Coke
Pablo Escobar (or Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria) is frequently signified as the King
of coke . This Colombian drug lord who is if not or most notorious and effective
cocaine smuggler in history. Out of Rionegro, Columbia on December 1, 1949,
Escobar is born and was a leader of one of the largest cocaine handling and supply
groups in the world. Escobar s desire and mercilessness made him one of the
wealthiest, most influential and vicious criminals of all time. Born in December

During Escobar s childhood, his entire family struggled to survive, the fourth of

would put him in the middle class status part of Columbia at that time. For
instance, one day Roberto Escobar (brother) and Pablo would always walk to
school due to the fact that they had no money to receive transportation from a bus.
The distance from Pablo s home and the school is equivalent to an hour walk.
Pablo and his brother walked to school so often, Pablo decided to go to school with
no shoes and upon arriving to class Pablo s teacher told him to go back home.

Disadvantages Of Virtualization
1. What are some the importance of virtualization?
Virtualization is the designing and managing of virtual machines from a specific
place. It provides a platform for sharing of resources with large number of network
resources. T benefits of virtualization are:
It is affordable and easy to maintain.
It supports many operating systems in a single virtualization platform.
The application does not rely on heavy hardware to run.
The merging servers used for crashing of a server tenacity is provided by
virtualization.
It minimizes the space being used by the manufacturer data and the data centers.

Hypervisors are of two types which are:
Bare metal is the virtualization program that is directly installed on the hardware and
it manages the functions of all physical resources. Hosted hypervisor functions as an
application.
11. Discuss Virtualization?
Virtualization is the coming up with virtual versions of physical modules on a
physical host. Virtualization provides a platform where many virtual machines can be
run on a single physical machine at the same time. ESXi host is the single physical
machine where virtual machines are run.
12. What is the comparisons of clone and template in VMware?
Clone
Cloning is divided into full clone which is an independent copy of virtual machine no
features is shared with the original virtual machine during cloning. Ongoing operation
of a full clone is entirely separate from the parent virtual machine.
Cloning a virtual machine saves on time during deployment of multiple similar virtual
machines. Instead of setting up virtual machines individually, a software can be

Whether that prospect thrills you or disturbs you depends upon your outlook.
These liens, because they are so powerful, should be treated with respect. We, at
Build Freedom, do not advocate the use of these liens against all government
officials, nor to any official in particular. We honor the fact that there are many
virtuous people in government offices, who are truly striving to harm no one and to
benefit as many people in society as possible. The liens described in this manual are
not directed towards these harmless officials.
Scope and Purpose of Manual
This manual is an introduction and primer to the Commercial Lien Strategy. It does
not pretend to be the final word on the subject. The authors and editors have
synthesized material from several sources. We have organized it into a form that
should be comprehensible to the average reader.
After reading this manual, you will know the fundamental principles of this strategy.
This understanding, plus the Bibliography in Appendix A, will allow you to do
further research on your own.
Some Notes on the Sample Briefs
Included with this manual is an Appendix containing sample legal briefs, based upon
actual examples used by others.
You will have to reformat these briefs using your word processing software, and you
MUST adapt them to your situation, and to the requirements of your state or locality.

Kashmir Conflict Between Pakistan and India
KASHMIR CONFLICT BETWEEN PAKISTAN AND INDIA
The State of Jammu and Kashmir is situated between Pakistan and India. Among the
key reasons for tension between Pakistan and India is the key problem of Kashmir.
Whereas Pakistan has repeatedly termed this the core issue in its relationship with
India, India has maintained that this matter was settled with Kashmir s accession to
India in October 1947. As far as India has been concerned, therefore, the only issue
for discussion has been what India regards as Pakistan s continuing illegal occupation
of part of Jammu and Kashmir, an occupation that began in 1947В–48, during the
war between the two. About 63 per cent of the territory is under Indian occupation;
while the rest, 37 per cent, is with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to the above mentioned facts, neither Pakistan nor India wants to lose
Kashmir. In 1947, India and Pakistan went to war over Kashmir. During the war, it
was India which first took the Kashmir dispute to the United Nations on 1 January
1948 The following year, on 1 January 1949, the UN helped enforce ceasefire
between the two countries. The ceasefire line is called the Line of Control. It was
an outcome of a mutual agreement between India and Pakistan that the UN
Security Council (UNSC) and UN Commission for India and Pakistan (UNCIP)
passed several resolutions in years following the 1947 48 war. The UNSC
Resolution of 21 April 1948 one of the principal UN resolutions on Kashmir stated
that both India and Pakistan desire that the question of the accession of Jammu and
Kashmir to India or Pakistan should be decided through the democratic method of a
free and impartial plebiscite .
India s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru made a pledge to resolve the Kashmir
dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions. The sole criteria to settle the issue,
he said, would be the wishes of the Kashmir people . A pledge that Prime Minister
Nehru started violating soon after the UN resolutions was passed. In 1965, India and
Pakistan once again went to war over Kashmir. A cease fire was established in
September 1965. Indian Prime Minister Lal Bhadur Shastri and Pakistani president
Ayub Khan signed the Tashkent Declaration on 1 January
The End Of The Cold War Between The United States And...
The end of the Cold War between the United States and Soviet Unions was a start for
a new Western order. Many expected that it would be peaceful, free trade and
expanding markets and cooperation among states (Hawthorn, 1999). However, some
scholars might argue that neoliberalism preserved the dominance of wealthy states. A
variety of different arguments have been raised taking into consideration democracy
and international order. This essay will consider three different theoretical
perspectives on the topic through summarising the key points and analysing the
strengths and weaknesses of these perspectives. Firstly, American hegemonywill be
considered, secondly, civic identity of the Western political order will be discussed
and finally, economic openness liberal order will be taken into account.
One of the major realist dimensions for the Western political order is American
hegemony. With the end of the Cold War
, American hegemony appeared to be the
supreme power of the world (Deudney and Ikenberry, 1999). It can be seen, American
economic power revealed in international financial institutions such as IMF, WB and
WTO. As a dominant member in WTO, the United StatesForced the weaker states to
accept the organization s rules on international trade, otherwise, they will lose if they
choose not to follow the rules (Hawthorn, 1999). In addition, Deudney and Ikenberry
(1999) state that liberals see transnational relations as the establishment of alternative
system that will

Is Cooking Really Freedom in Jim Sollisch’s Article,
Is Cooking Really Freedom?
According to Jim Sollisch s article, cooking is an outlet of expression and is not
limited to one gender (Sollisch, Cooking Is Freedom ). Sollisch communicates of
how his newfound interest and love of cooking came out of an act of rebellion to
allow the enrollment of boys in Home Economics classes (Sollisch, Cooking Is
Freedom ). He effectively uses an informal tone and an abundance of short, simple
sentences appropriate for his audiences of NY Times and blog post readers. His
copious amounts of personal anecdotes provide credibility in the subject. His use of
incomplete sentences and colorful, easy to understand word choice puts him in the
level of the reader establishing a personal connection.
Sollisch s article is found on the New York Timeswebsite in the Private Lives
section on the Opinion Pages. Private Lives is a section for personal essays about
real people s lives and problems they may have encountered. This explains Sollisch
s subject choice and why this is mainly an opinion essay. He starts off with a
personal story of how he first came upon the art of cooking (Sollisch, Cooking Is
Freedom ). He tops off his anecdote with similes such as when he describes the
power cooking gives him as similar to the power some kids feel when they get a
driver s license (Sollisch, Cooking Is Freedom ). Sollisch engages the readers with
this simile because he makes himself very relatable to his intended audience.

Essay on Susan Glaspell s Trifles Men vs. Women
Susan Glaspell s one act play, Trifles, weaves a tale of an intriguing murder
investigation to determine who did it. Mrs. Wright is suspected of strangling her
husband to death. During the investigation the sheriff and squad of detectives are
clueless and unable to find any evidence or motive to directly tie Mrs. Wright to the
murder. They are baffled as to how he was strangled by a rope while they were
supposedly asleep side by side. Glaspell artfully explores genderdifferences between
men and women and the roles they each fulfill in society by focusing on their
physicality, their methods of communication and vital to the plot of the play, their
powers of observation. In simple terms, the play suggests that men tend to be
assertive,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While each proses a serve of justice and determination to do the right thing; the men
approach the crime scene emotionless, indifferent and determined to go in and get
to the bottom of the mystery as quick as possible, and push aside the little details.
Little do they know that the things they are putting off could be very essential to
their case? For example, in a conversation between the attorney and Mr. Hale who
remarks, ..I said to Harry that I didn t know as what his wife wanted made such a
difference to John.. who was interrupted by the attorney in mid conversation and
interjects, Let s talk about that later, Mr. Hale. I do want to talk about that, but tell
now just what happened when you got to the house. (1127) Meanwhile, while the
men are out on their hunt for clues, the women stay in the kitchen to look through
Mrs. Wright s things and discuss a motive for why she killed her husband. Glaspell
proposes a plan that by looking deeper into circumstances, you may in turn fully
understand its true meaning; leaving no stone left unturned. Glaspell s suggests that
men tend to assume that nothing of importance occurs in the kitchen, where the
women are at work, and this can be related to their negative attitudes towards women.
For example, the attorney says, I guess we ll go upstairs first and then out to the barn
and around there. You re convinced that there was nothing important here nothing
that would point to any
Agamemnon s Depretation Of Troy, Troy And Troy
The 2004 movie Troy is an attempt by Wolfgang Peterson to bring an adaptation of
The Iliad to the silver screen. It portrays the epic Trojan war between the ancient
kingdoms of Troy and Sparta. The Trojan prince Paris falls deeply in love with Helen,
Menelaus s wife, and takes her back to Troy. The abduction of Heleninfuriated
Menelaus. Consequently, Agamemnonused his brother s acrimony to declare war

The movie characterizes Agamemnon as a relatively selfish individual: A wealthy
king who separates himself from his subjects. Agamemnon enters the scene riding
his golden chariot with his gold scepter, a symbol of command, in his hand and his
breastplate is engraved with an Alpha. (Petersen, Wolfgang, page 2): This scene
portrays Agamemnon as an individual with a reckless and self serving style of
leadership; Furthermore, Homer s The Odyssey paints his subordinates as relatively
unreceptive to his methods at times. Agamemnon s first obstacle came when he
decided to kill the sacred animals of Artemis (Lecture, 19th November). As a result
of this, his soldiers voiced their opinions by becoming more and more reluctant on
the battlefield. He lacked empathy and did not seem to understand the feelings of his
soldiers and their loyalty to Artemis. His recklessness led to the army losing crucial
battles. To win his soldiers back he sacrificed his daughter Iphigenia.
A stark contrast to Agamemnon s style of leadership would be Achilles: The Greek

The Use Of Vivid Color In The Wizard Of Oz
As Dorothy enters deeper into the world of Oz, we see the vibrant color of green
in the trees and the shades of yellow and blue in the flowers (Fig. 3). One
remarkable aspect of the Wizard of Oz has to be Dorothy s red, sparkly shoes, the
famous ruby slippers. They were originally scripted as being silver but half way
through the production they decided to change it to red to take full advantage of the
capabilities of Technicolor. Another reason why they were changed to ruby red was
so they can stand out against the brimstone yellow brick road. The yellow brick road
and the Emerald City were further illustrations of the capabilities of
Technicolor. Such vivid colors weren t just for artistic appeal, they often represented
other aspects such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Technically a great achievement, MGM studios spared no expense on the production.
It was filmed in Technicolor (uncommon for the time) and featured spectacular sets
designed to satisfy both the audience appetite for glamour and Mitchell s insistence
on authenticity (Juddery, 2008). The Technicolor Corporation required production
companies to rent their equipment. Having already worked with Technicolor,
Seltznick rented all seven of Technicolor cameras in order to film Gone with the
Film. Alongside using Technicolor equipment, Technicolor also provided a color
consultant. The purpose of the color consultant was to be in charge of all color
scenes relating to Gone with the Wind. According to the TCP of White, Weld,

Josh Waitzkin
...There is only so much you can teach a child, but in the end, they are who they are
is a quote from the Steven Zaillian film, Searching for Bobby Fischer. The film
revolves around a young boy of around 7 or 8 who is exceptionally ordinary
excluding one thing, he is a chess prodigy. Through the movie the boy, named Josh
Waitzkin, has to balance his competitiveness with his kind heartedness, his
techniques and teachers, fear of failure, his rival Jonathan, and most of all his
relationships with his friends and family. Josh must travel from tournament to
tournament all over the country in hopes of becoming an accomplished chess player.

He does not boast about his gift for chess, nor does he flaunt his success in the
chess world. His humility is a virtue, as it is something that his rival Jonathan does
not possess. In fact, Jonathan s loss in the final match was due to his arrogance
towards his chess playing ability, which led him to not accept Josh s offer of a tie.
Though it was not accepted, Josh s modest offer was an excellent display of his
humble character. He was completely capable of winning the match, but instead he
offered a draw out of respect for Jonathan. Along with this, another example of
humility comes from the beginning of the film, when Josh first discovers his gift.
The first time the young boy played chess in the park, he lost, but showed
exemplary skill and understanding of the game. It wasn t until later in the
Waitzkin family s home that the audience learns that Josh had never yet played an
actual game of chess. Bonnie tells her husband of Josh s victory in the park. Fred
does not believe that his son could have won, so he decides to play Josh in a game
of chess to see if his skills are as good as his wife says. Josh competes with his Dad,
but he throws the match to let his Dad win. Upon this, a rematch is demanded, one
which Josh chooses to win. It was in the first match that that Josh s humility
shown. He also showed a great level of humility when he offered the draw game to
Jonathan to they could both share in the title. He did not want to see someone
whom he had feared and almost admired for so long be defeated by one mistake.
Jonathan may have declined, but Josh s offer conveyed to the audience that he was
willing to accept that neither of them would win if neither of them would lose. Josh
s willingness to let himself lose of fail when he is completely capable of succeeding
shows how he take pride in his chess skills, but doesn t flaunt them. Josh s humble,
calm, and collected nature proves that he is not only a good chess player,
Digestive System Journey
The digestive system is the process of turning food that we eat into nutrients that the
body uses for energy. This system also creates waste that the body needs to
eliminate. We are now going to talk about the journey of food through the digestive
system to see how everything works together to reserve the nutrients of the food we
take in everyday and how the body removes all the remaining substances from our
body.

Kant Shopkeeper Essay
Kant uses the shopkeeper (dealer) example to demonstrate an instance in which an
individual acts in accordance with duty, but not from duty. Duty in this case is the
necessity of an action done out of the respect for the law. Before this example, Kant
provides multiple ways that one might act relative to duty. The shopkeeper example
represents the second, which the footnote at the bottom of page 10 of Grounding for
the Metaphysics of Morals states, [it] involves those [actions] which accord with duty
but for which a person perhaps has no immediate inclination, though he does have a
mediate inclination thereto. Subsequently, to reference the example, Kant says, that a
dealer should not overcharge an inexperienced purchaser, and, where there is much
commerce, the prudent merchant does not overcharge but keeps to a fixed price for
everyone in general. According to Kant, both of these actions are in accordance with
duty. However, he also explains that one cannot assume that the storekeeper acted
from duty. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, given the shopkeeper s position and incentive to sell products and to keep
loyal customers, there are few actions the shopkeeper can perform that are not
without suspicion of selfish purpose. The shopkeeper must face a situation that tests
his will in order to determine if his following action have moral worth. In order for an
action to have moral worth, one must act in accordance with duty, but contrary to
some immediate inclination. For instance, if the shopkeeper was near bankruptcy, but
could collect insurance money by burning down his failing store, the action from duty
would be to resist the temptation of arson for personal gain. By rejecting this
temptation, despite his desperate situation, the shopkeeper acts from duty and not out
of selfishness in any way. There are better examples of acting from duty, but this one

The French Paradox Of Cholesterol And Saturated Fat Diet
The French paradox is a slogan which was first used in the 1980 s to summarize the
observation of low Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) rates, as shown in figure 1, of
the French despite their dangerously high intake of dietary cholesterol and saturated
fat (FerriГЁres, 2004). The French acquire approximately 38% of their energy from
fat with 16% of that being saturated fat. This is in contradiction to the widely known
and proved hypothesis that a high consumption of fat is a major factor in CHD. This
paradox implies a significant possibility: There is an additional factor in the French
diet that alleviates the risks associated with a high fat diet. Ryan Fujiu believes that it
is the regular consumption of red winethat diminishes the dangers of a high fat diet.
He states that: The health benefits of red wine have come to light in recent years.
Hope is on the horizon, and it may be in your glass ref. This topic is highly
controversial as there are also detriments to the consumption of alcohol. There has
been much debate about this issue for the last two decades. In order to make a
plausible decision on Ryan s statement, this report will look at the advantages and
disadvantages of red wine by analysing chemicals present in wine and their effects
on the human body. During the wine making process various chemicals are added,
so it is necessary to look at the wine making process first to come up with a plausible
decision for Ryan s statement.
Wine making is an 8 step process as
Consequences In The Giver
The book The Giver by Lois Lowry is about a kid name Jonas trying to live in a so
called perfect union. Jonas experience develops a theme over the course The Giver
by teaching the reader for every action there is a consequence. Although some
readers may believe that for every actions there s not a consequence, Jonas
experience shows that once Jonas leaves the community he suffers from starvation
and also pain. For everything we do there is a consequence. In the text it says, The
old man smiled. So do I he said. But that choice is not ours. This shows that the
choices he picks is going to have some kind of consequences. In the text it says, And
this time I m not going to tell you the name of it, because I want to be a receiver. This

the Eaton Eagles. This was my first trip to Carlisle and it would mark the first time
since the 2015 season, that I have watched the Indians. I would be seeing the Eagles
for the first time ever.
I expected a much larger crowd but as many times this season it was not the case, but
those who were there got to see a good competitive game, that was entertaining
especially from the defensive side of things.
The Indians defense would set the tone early in this one, when Daniel Smith teamed

Heading into the second quarter this one looked very even, even though the Eagles
offense was yet to soar, while the Indians offense had shown a glimpse of going on
the warpath a couple of times.
Just twenty six seconds into the second quarter Moore fumble the ball and
scooping it up and going about fifty six yards for the score for the Eagles was Chip
Parker. Parker easily outran the offense, who looked like a fighter, who had just been
tagged by a Ali right cross. The point after kick was missed causing this to stay a 13 7
Eagles lead.
The Indians offense would work the ball down to the Eagles thirty four yard line
and from there Chambers electrified the crowd, with a Archie Griffin like run, back
when he was running for the buckeyes. The point after kick gave the Indians the
lead at 14 13, with 5:31left in the half. On the drive the Eagles defense again had
problems tackling and this really led to a lot of extra yards for the Indians.
With 3:41 it appeared their was pass interference on the Indians receiver, but the ref
said the ball was tipped before the interference happened and this led to a interception
by Moore on the pass thrown by Ryan Venable. This play really seem to change the
game and in my way of thinking the Eagles fought hard but never overcame this call.
Defense was big again, with :27 seconds left in the half, when Moore was taken
down by #54(Not on the Eagles roster)
Changing American Family Essay
The Changing American Family
The American family in the last 50 years has changed so much from the Leave It to
Beaver days. Now the U.S. Census has had to change their forms just to include the
many different types of families. Between 1950 and modern times America has gone
through the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam Conflict, the Gulf War, the Iraq War, and
finally the Afghanistan War. America is a battle hardened and tested country. All this
being said, most of those wars were long, drawn out conflicts that happened half way
around the world. This causes tears in the American family. Once people return from
all the bloodshed, all they want to do is be with their families and spend time to
make up for what they missed.
Studies have been completed around the new typical family and the findings are
surprising to some. Natalie Angier wrote an article in The New York Times called

Beowulf Is The Hero Of All Heroes
I m writing about ancient heroes and whether or not they can be heroes at the
present day time.im going to tell you about their pros as in good things about them
and their cons as in bad things. I will also choose one modern day hero to come pare
my ancient hero to and tell you where he from either a movie or a comic book.
Beowulf is my ancient hero. I chose Beowulf because of all the qualities he has.
Beowulf is the hero of all heroes he is strong, and courageous. He would risk his
own life to save other people life s. He never back down to any person or thing and
has never run any from a fight. He throws his self at danger to try to get rid of evil
and look for people to help. In this day of age, I don t think he would be a good
hero for a few reasons. Reason number one I think he is really too arrogant to
throw his self at ever one problem thinking he is going to fix it. I personally think
a hero should be asking them if they want your help before they make it worst. Or
they can wait till they see someone in danger then throw yourself in the middle.
Reason two I think he s arrogant will be the death of him because he think so
mighty of his self. He will think he is unstoppable and that s where his demise will
come from. Reason three he not that smart he more like a jock most heroes are
usually smart and clever Beowulf isn t if he meant an evenly match villain he cloud
loss fairly easy from how choices he make . Reason four is the way he dresses. The

Audience Theory Paper
Understanding how an audience receives information can be vital in the creation of a
production. One of the ways of testing how the audience receives information is
through the audience theory. With the audience theory, audiences can be separated
into passive or active, a passive model suggests the production has an effect on the
audiencewhile an active model suggests that the audience interacts with the
production to develop their own interpretation. The is one main difference between
the passive and active models. In the active model, audiences form opinions and are
therefore in control, while audiences in a passive audience only accept opinions and
have little control. Looking further into the audience theorythere is the reception

People who believed in Galen s theories tried to explain how the pulmonary vein

the Galen theory still stood as the correct theory ( About William Harvery ). Galen

A Satirical Article On Cultural Relativism Essay
Cultural relativism is the way in which our individual beliefs and opinions should
be understood by others of the same or of different cultures. The Charlie Hebdo
media murders in France January 2015 is a fine example of the way in which the
views of the world are diverse depending on different cultural perspectives. Charlie
Hebdo is a satirical weekly newspaper, it takes contentious world issues such as
religion and politics and holds them up to the world with the intent to disgrace
individuals, cooperation s and society in order to get them to improve. Due to its
almost antagonistic manner it was a successful target of a terrorist attack . Two
armed gunmen stormed the office and killed eleven members of staff claiming they
were defending the Prophet Muhammad.
Growing up in a country like New Zealand where freedom of expression is not only
defended but encouraged, it is easy to understand why Charlie Hebdo chooses to
adopt that same right to use as a platform to create humour out of democracy and
religion. Their main aim being to reflect current events in a satirical way in order to
shame society into changing. Some of this humour can be mistaken for bigotry and
disrespect by minorities such as Muslim s, however the newspaper does not aim
directly toward the minor religions of France, rather religion as a whole. According
to the Central Intelligence Agency the percentage of each Religion is vastly

The Lone Ranger And Tonto Fistfight In Heaven Analysis
In the story The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven by Sherman Alexie,
points out the hardships of being a Native American back in the 20th century.
These hardships were racism, alcoholism, poverty and isolation. The story takes
place in the reservation and it is about a young Native American whom struggles in
society because of his skin color, family s addictions and fights. The narrator
moves to Seattle with his white girlfriend who he seems to have an odd
relationship because they are constantly fighting. He becomes an alcoholic and
moves back to the reservation after a break up with his girlfriend. The story begins
with the narrator who enters a 7 11 store at three in the morning to be exact. The
cashier looks at him in a frightened way as if he was a criminal and becomes aware
of every action that he does in the store. Of course, this is something that still goes
on today, specially at 7 11 stores and I once experienced it. The cashier acted in a
racist manner because he judges the guy due to his dark skin color and thought he
was a robber. Although the narrator did understand the reason why the cashier
behaved that way as he once worked in a 7 11 store and was robbed. The narrator
started fooling around with the cashier by making him more frightened, but the
cashier noticed that he wasn t a bad guy and offered him the Creamsicle for free.

Tobacco is the common name of the plant Nicotiana tabacum and to a limited extent
Nicotiana rustica and the cured leaf that is used, usually after aging and processing
in various ways for smoking, chewing, snuffing and the extraction of nicotine, the
principal alkaloid of tobacco.(4) The species N. tabacum has never been found to

the products of the tabacum species and so it will be in what follows. Tobacco holds
an unparalleled position among crop plants in the world such as:
1) It is one of the very few crops entering world trade entirely on a leaf basis.

N. tabacum has a uniquely high proportion of alkaloids occurring as nicotine and is
considered to have survived as a species by man s protection. Creation of new
species through hybridization is a natural botanical occurrence. It is an accepted
assumption that N. tabacum arose as a natural hybrid. N. sylvestris contributes one
genome, but agreement on the other contributor is not agreed upon. Artificial
creation of hybrids which results in synthetic tobacco bear very close genetic
similarity to N. tabacum. Cultivated tobaccos have changed immensely over time
and it is unlikely that the forms of other species now available bear to close a
resemblance to what existed in the distant past.(1)
Botany
Tobacco is normally grown as an annual and is potentially a woody, shrub like
perennial. The tobacco plant has a very shallow root system which provides poor
anchorage for the more extensive above ground development. The N. tabacum types
are one of the smaller species of tobacco varieties. The leaves supply the most
important economic value of the plant and are given the most attention by botanists.
Although there is variation in leaf size and shape there is general uniformity of
distribution, size and shape within cultivated types. Between types, size and shape
may vary considerably but not in distribution. The characters which may include leaf

cherry wood high four posts bed with flowers etch in the posters. Many planners use
the Corinthian style columns for elaborate decorations particular in weddings today.
Another similarity, we share with ancient Greece is the love of sports rivalry
especially the Olympic Games. In 776 B.C., the first Olympic Games begin as an
achievement in art, ethical conduct and interaction of the mind in ancient Greece.
Today athletes from all over the world take part in the Olympic Games. In spite of
the many new events such as bicycling, skating, gymnastics, swimming, soccer and
basketball, many of the earlier (ancient Greece) events such as footraces, jumping,
discus and javelin throwing, boxing, and wrestling are still a part of the today games.
As we mourned the recent loss of Muhammad Ali, boxing champion of the world to
many, continued the ancient Greece s tradition of carrying the torch to light the
cauldron during the 1996 Summer Olympics games in Atlanta, GA. The torch
remains lit until the conclusion of competition today as it did in ancient
A Report Of The National Association Of Realtors ( U.s.
Introduction to the E Series
This is the forth book in the E Series How to Beat Your Competition Selling Real
Estate to Foreign Buyers. The E Series will eventually summarize All You Have to
Know to successfully market and sell real estate to international buyers.
Why would you need the real estate buyers from abroad?
All real estate is local as the old saying goes, but buyers are not! In today s internet
times you can sell goods, services and real estate to anybody in the world without
borders. The 2015 report of the National Association of Realtors (U.S.) states that 8%
of all home sales across the country were attributed to the foreign buyers; at the
same time, according to the Florida Association of Realtors the number of the
international buyers was 21% of all the home sales in the state. Then California
followed with 16% of the foreign buyers. In some other countries and cities
according to some internet sources: 17% of all real estate buyers in Spain were
coming from abroad, up to 60% in Greece, up to 85% (!) in London, England, etc.
The information provided in the E Series in general and in this e book How to Plan
and Budget for Success in International Property Sales in particular is highly useful
for any real estate sellers in any country who want to expand the buyers market for
their residential or commercial properties all over the world: From a private owner of
a small condo or a historic mansion or a hotel for sale, to a realtor offering just one
Broken Window Model Essay
Harmful intentional actions of an individual are threatening regardless if the
individual has a visible weapon. A weapon doesn t have to be a gun, a knife, or a
club; the individual himself/ herself can be intimidating. The root cause of unarmed
individuals death is not lack of officer s training. The training is in place, that s the
purpose of going to the academy to learn hand to hand combat, detaining a suspect,
and bringing them down to the ground to gain compliance. Policeofficer s training
continues after the academy with a FTO field training where the new officer
shadows an experience officer and refresher courses to keep officers afloat on
properly handling situations both passive and aggressive (Knetzger, 2013). In the

It s the realistic situations faced where both the officer and the suspect anticipate
each other reactions or responses and someone ends up hurt sometimes both the
officer and the suspect are injured. Wilson and Kelling uniquely says departments
need to find a link between disorder and crime and how it impacts social skills also
known as the broken window model. This creates the relationship between the police
and the community (Schmalleger, 2009).
In fact, we live in a world full of choices and it is the reason the departments should
practice the community orientated policy to eliminate the non retaining information.
On the contrary, old fashion ways suggest knowledge is easily remembered so it
forever embedded causing stagnate results. The community orientated policy will
have mandatory class sessions with the people in the local community which involves
them and the officers to work together in drawing diagrams to represent the
relationship and their importance in the community.
The seminar or class will allow each current resident to mind map improvements to
promote good behavior and activity such as positive
What Is the Importance of Accountability in the Military...
What is the importance of accountability in the military and in the work place? What
is accountability by definition: (Department Of Defense) The obligation imposed by
law or lawful order or regulation on an officer or other person for keeping accurate
record of property, documents, or funds. The person having this obligation may or
may not have actual possession of the property, documents, or funds. Accountability
is concerned primarily with records, while responsibility is concerned primarily with
custody, care, and safekeeping. Accountability is very important because it allows for
your chain of command to know where you are at at the moment. Accountability in
the workplace is defined as doing the right thing consistently, day in and... Show more

Anything can and will happen especially in combat, that s why the team member
should make sure that the team or squad leader know where the soldier and his or
her equipment is at all times. The Army spends a lot of money on equipment and
belongings for the soldiers, so the Army expects to know where its equipment is.
No matter what someone is always responsible for equipment in the Army.
Accountability is important because it assures someone that needs will be met. If
someone is accountable, you can trust that they will do what they claimed.
Without accountability you would not be able to put your trust in someone to
complete a job for you and other members of the team, or even show up on time to
an important event ,or formation. It is important because it holds each and
everyone accountability for his or her actions.Accountability is an obligation or
willingness to accept responsibility or to account for ones actions. Now for the
Army, it becomes an obligation more than willingness while you have to be
willing to do it as well. Those that are unable to be accountable are the ones that
jeopardize the combat readiness of any unit. Basically it is the understanding that
from the bottom up. Top down and laterally everyone is going to do and is willing
to do the right thing even when no one else is looking. This is practiced at your
home base where everyone is assigned

The Progressive Era Was A Political Movement
The Progressive Era was a political movement aimed towards eliminating the
influence and corruption of corporations in politics, and making the California
government more of a democracy. This took place at the beginning of the 20th
century and started in the local government of big cities such as San Francisco and
Los Angeles. At this time corporations held monopolies and these corporations, due
to their size and power, were able to control much of the economic policy of the
time. James Madison, a federalist and writer of Federalist #10, believed that humans
were too ignorant and/or too selfish to govern themselves. The Progressives worked
to shift the power with political reforms such as nonpartisanship, office block ballots,

In fact, Of more than 19,000 elected public officials in California, less than 300 are
elected in partisan races. From this one can conclude that, the Progressive Movement
was a huge influence on California government and politics. Madison would have
been against this because he believed that humans would choose a candidate that only
helps themselves, instead of common wealth. Another reform made during the
Progressive Era was primary elections. Primary elections are elections held to elect
candidates to run for office. In a primary election a party nominee must receive more
votes than the other nominees in that party. These types of elections are also used
to select presidential candidates. Before primary elections political parties chose
candidates during caucuses. Madison would have preferred caucuses because
politicians are aware of what goes on where as citizens may not be as informed in
politics. This reform gave voters more say in who they wanted in office and, again,
gave less power to the political corporations who could drive a certain politician s
or party s campaign and get who they wanted elected into office. The Progressives
wanted more power in the hands of the people. The Progressives gave voters the
power of direct democracy through initiatives, referendums and recalls. Initiatives
are citizen made proposals and amendments that can be put on ballots during
elections; they are the most frequently used out of the
Gravity Vs. To Build A Fire
Andrei Cozma
Gravity
Gravity is a science fiction movie directed by Alfonso CuarГіn, having as central
themes the fragility, vulnerability of the humans facing the harsh, ruthless outer
space, as well as mankind s ability to survive and recover from disasters, and after
all, to restart its evolution. Gravity can be compared to Jack London s tale To Build
a Fire transposed into space, a man versus nature story, because Gravity is not a
movie about space, but about the way humans, frail and vulnerable, adapt to it. The
dependence of humans on Earth is also depicted in The World Below the Brine . The
astronauts are ambitious characters far away from Earth and from everything that
means a normal life. The same ambition and detachment from society ... Show more

The concept of mankind s ability to rebirth and continue its evolution are presented
in many scenes in the movie. A suggestive imagery related to the formation of life
is found in the scene where Dr. Stone rests in a position similar to a fetus before
birth. The film ends with an allegory of the emergence of mankind, when Dr. Stone
struggles to get out of the ocean after landing on Earth, looking like a primitive
creature, then grabs the soil with her hands and gradually regains her ability to stand
upright and walk like humans. Another imagery, related to Creation, is the
breathtakingly beautiful sunrise shown by the astronauts over the Earth. These
imageries have been included in the movie to convey a couple of messages to the
public in an artistic manner. The filmmakers tried to emphasize that Earth is a
marvelous place, the Garden of Eden for humankind, warm and protective compared
to the harsh, dangerous space, and they also tried to induce confidence in humans
ability to recover and to restart its evolution after a potential

Special software called Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) is used to assist in the
loading of dangerous goods. The planner inserts into the system, however the
software may or may not be able to properly stow cargo by means of checking for bad
stowage amp; segregation against the latest international requirements. It is highly
recommended to check stowage manually and by human perception for compliance.
According to the IMDG code, segregation requirements of the other local/national
regulations must be strictly adhered to. A key requirement for planners that to
recognize that he have knowledge that dangerous goods that are classified within to
the same class may have segregation requirements amongst them in terms of gases,
liquids and solid dangerous goods. (Ships Business, 2010)
When these DG s are loaded onto a ship, specific set of information about the said
good must be gathered, assessed and communicated to all relevant authorities with
observation and acknowledgement of the DG s type, composition and its flash factor
which is the temperature that is deemed combustible. By doing this, the authorities
and handlers know which type of good are being handled, how the good can be
contained when contamination or leakage occurs. With this, proper actions and
procedures can be performed for occurrences such accidents involving dangerous
goods while being transported and storing on the ship. This

  • 1. Narrative Essays Crafting an essay on the subject of narrative essays may initially seem like a straightforward task, given the familiarity with the genre. However, delving into the intricacies of narrative writing presents its own set of challenges. The difficulty lies not only in constructing a coherent storyline but also in striking the delicate balance between vivid storytelling and conveying a meaningful message. One must navigate through the nuanced art of weaving personal experiences into a compelling narrative while ensuring that the underlying theme resonates with the audience. Selecting the right anecdotes, structuring them in a logical sequence, and maintaining a captivating tone pose considerable challenges. It's a task that demands introspection, creativity, and the ability to articulate thoughts in a manner that engages readers on an emotional level. The challenge intensifies when attempting to transcend the boundaries of a mere personal account. Effective narrative essays transcend the individual, offering universal insights or perspectives that resonate with a broader audience. Achieving this requires a keen understanding of the balance between specificity and universality, ensuring that readers can both empathize with the personal journey and glean broader insights applicable to their own lives. Additionally, the process of revising and refining a narrative essay is intricate. It involves not only polishing the language but also scrutinizing the coherence of the storyline and the impact of the chosen details. Striking the right chord with readers necessitates multiple revisions, each aimed at enhancing the clarity of expression and the emotional resonance of the narrative. In conclusion, the task of writing an essay on narrative essays extends beyond mere storytelling; it requires a meticulous blend of creativity, introspection, and literary finesse. The writer must navigate the challenging terrain of personal narrative while simultaneously considering the broader implications for the audience. It is an undertaking that demands time, effort, and a commitment to refining the narrative to achieve a powerful and lasting impact. For those seeking assistance with essays or similar academic endeavors, various resources are available. One such option is HelpWriting.net, where similar essays and a plethora of writing services can be accessed to simplify the challenging process of crafting impactful narratives. • 2. Synthesis Essay On The Melting Pot The United States has a motto, e pluribus unum, that suggests that in America, embracing diversity creates unity. Long ago, during the 1900s, assimilation was considered to be crucial in order for a naturalization process to occur. Immigrants were forced to assimilate and adopt to the American culture, in which they had never been introduced to before. Over time, things evolved and changed to the point where people began to assimilate to a certain point, but still have their cultural traditions, giving America a nickname known as the Melting Pot. America being known as The Melting Pot, defends the claim that in today s society, The United Statesof America is moving toward a new standard in which diversity and individuality are encouraged more than uniformity and conformity. Before a naturalization ceremony occurs, the United States citizens still have their cultural ideas and languages being spoken along with them. In Source 1, it s a picture of citizens all waving American flags, with a subtitle of, New U.S. Citizens wave American flags before being sworn in at a naturalization ceremony. This is proving that even though the citizens have not yet been fully naturalized, they still have their culturealong with... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Source 2, it states, What it means to be American in spirit, in blood is something far more borrowed and comingled than anything previous generations ever knew. Alongside the pain of immigration, then, and the possibility, there is this truth: America is white no longer, and it will never be white again. This evidence is proving that it doesn t mean much to be assimilated into American culture, but to be spirited as an American. This issue has disappeared over time, as this source is stating that America is white no longer and will never be white again. This is meaning that America is known as the melting pot nowadays, and is not considered white
  • 3. Difference Between Progressive Movement And Populist Movement Both the progressive and populist movements felt that the way the current industrial society was set up was unfair and favored the political elites. The differences between the two movements mostly fell into what kind of areas they took place in, and what specifically they were trying to change. The populist movement started out as the Farmers Alliance in the 1870s, and began moving throughout the south and west mostly in rural areas such as farms. They pursued many reforms in that times society such as education funding, infrastructure, workplace reform and support of agriculture. One person who was a big part of the populist movement was William Jennings Brian, the Democratic presidential nominee in 1896. He sought to change the worth of

  • 5. Essay on Attempts to Establish a National Identification... Although some countries have national identity cards, there has been an extensive debate about their use here in the United States. According to Eliot (2009), the first driver s license went into effect in New York in 1910 (p. 11). Other states followed suit. The Social Security Act passed in the 1930 s required all citizens to have a unique nine digit number in order to receive social security benefits. Among the key reasons for tension between Pakistan and India is the key problem of Kashmir. Whereas Pakistan has repeatedly termed this the core issue in its relationship with India, India has maintained that this matter was settled with Kashmir s accession to India in October 1947. As far as India has been concerned, therefore, the only issue for discussion has been what India regards as Pakistan s continuing illegal occupation of part of Jammu and Kashmir, an occupation that began in 1947В–48, during the war between the two. Due to the above mentioned facts, neither Pakistan nor India wants to lose Kashmir. In 1947, India and Pakistan went to war over Kashmir. During the war, it was India which first took the Kashmir dispute to the United Nations on 1 January 1948 The following year, on 1 January 1949, the UN helped enforce ceasefire between the two countries. The ceasefire line is called the Line of Control. It was an outcome of a mutual agreement between India and Pakistan that the UN Security Council (UNSC) and UN Commission for India and Pakistan (UNCIP) passed several resolutions in years following the 1947 48 war. The UNSC Resolution of 21 April 1948 one of the principal UN resolutions on Kashmir stated that both India and Pakistan desire that the question of the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India or Pakistan should be decided through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite . India s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru made a pledge to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions. The sole criteria to settle the issue, he said, would be the wishes of the Kashmir people . A pledge that Prime Minister Nehru started violating soon after the UN resolutions was passed. In 1965, India and Pakistan once again went to war over Kashmir. A cease fire was established in September 1965. Indian Prime Minister Lal Bhadur Shastri and Pakistani president Ayub Khan signed the Tashkent Declaration on 1 January
  • 12. The End Of The Cold War Between The United States And... The end of the Cold War between the United States and Soviet Unions was a start for a new Western order. Many expected that it would be peaceful, free trade and expanding markets and cooperation among states (Hawthorn, 1999). However, some scholars might argue that neoliberalism preserved the dominance of wealthy states. A variety of different arguments have been raised taking into consideration democracy and international order. This essay will consider three different theoretical perspectives on the topic through summarising the key points and analysing the strengths and weaknesses of these perspectives. Firstly, American hegemonywill be considered, secondly, civic identity of the Western political order will be discussed and finally, economic openness liberal order will be taken into account. One of the major realist dimensions for the Western political order is American hegemony. With the end of the Cold War , American hegemony appeared to be the supreme power of the world (Deudney and Ikenberry, 1999). It can be seen, American economic power revealed in international financial institutions such as IMF, WB and WTO. As a dominant member in WTO, the United StatesForced the weaker states to accept the organization s rules on international trade, otherwise, they will lose if they choose not to follow the rules (Hawthorn, 1999). He tops off his anecdote with similes such as when he describes the power cooking gives him as similar to the power some kids feel when they get a driver s license (Sollisch, Cooking Is Freedom ). • 18. Essay on Susan Glaspell s Trifles Men vs. Women Susan Glaspell s one act play, Trifles, weaves a tale of an intriguing murder investigation to determine who did it. Mrs. Wright is suspected of strangling her husband to death. During the investigation the sheriff and squad of detectives are clueless and unable to find any evidence or motive to directly tie Mrs. Wright to the murder. They are baffled as to how he was strangled by a rope while they were supposedly asleep side by side. Glaspell artfully explores genderdifferences between men and women and the roles they each fulfill in society by focusing on their physicality, their methods of communication and vital to the plot of the play, their powers of observation. For example, in a conversation between the attorney and Mr. Hale who remarks, ..I said to Harry that I didn t know as what his wife wanted made such a difference to John.. who was interrupted by the attorney in mid conversation and interjects, Let s talk about that later, Mr. Hale. Glaspell proposes a plan that by looking deeper into circumstances, you may in turn fully understand its true meaning; leaving no stone left unturned. Glaspell s suggests that men tend to assume that nothing of importance occurs in the kitchen, where the women are at work, and this can be related to their negative attitudes towards women. For example, the attorney says, I guess we ll go upstairs first and then out to the barn and around there. You re convinced that there was nothing important here nothing that would point to any

It portrays the epic Trojan war between the ancient kingdoms of Troy and Sparta. The Trojan prince Paris falls deeply in love with Helen, Menelaus s wife, and takes her back to Troy. The abduction of Heleninfuriated Menelaus. Consequently, Agamemnonused his brother s acrimony to declare war against Troy. The movie characterizes Agamemnon as a relatively selfish individual: A wealthy king who separates himself from his subjects. Agamemnon enters the scene riding his golden chariot with his gold scepter, a symbol of command, in his hand and his breastplate is engraved with an Alpha. (Petersen, Wolfgang, page 2): This scene portrays Agamemnon as an individual with a reckless and self serving style of leadership; Furthermore, Homer s The Odyssey paints his subordinates as relatively unreceptive to his methods at times. Agamemnon s first obstacle came when he decided to kill the sacred animals of Artemis (Lecture, 19th November). As a result of this, his soldiers voiced their opinions by becoming more and more reluctant on the battlefield. He lacked empathy and did not seem to understand the feelings of his soldiers and their loyalty to Artemis. His recklessness led to the army losing crucial battles. To win his soldiers back he sacrificed his daughter Iphigenia. A stark contrast to Agamemnon s style of leadership would be Achilles: The Greek hero of great

Duty in this case is the necessity of an action done out of the respect for the law. Before this example, Kant provides multiple ways that one might act relative to duty. The shopkeeper example represents the second, which the footnote at the bottom of page 10 of Grounding for the Metaphysics of Morals states, [it] involves those [actions] which accord with duty but for which a person perhaps has no immediate inclination, though he does have a mediate inclination thereto. Subsequently, to reference the example, Kant says, that a dealer should not overcharge an inexperienced purchaser, and, where there is much commerce, the prudent merchant does not overcharge but keeps to a fixed price for everyone in general. According to Kant, both of these actions are in accordance with duty. However, he also explains that one cannot assume that the storekeeper acted from duty. The... The French Paradox Of Cholesterol And Saturated Fat Diet The French paradox is a slogan which was first used in the 1980 s to summarize the observation of low Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) rates, as shown in figure 1, of the French despite their dangerously high intake of dietary cholesterol and saturated fat (FerriГЁres, 2004). The French acquire approximately 38% of their energy from fat with 16% of that being saturated fat. This is in contradiction to the widely known and proved hypothesis that a high consumption of fat is a major factor in CHD. This paradox implies a significant possibility: There is an additional factor in the French diet that alleviates the risks associated with a high fat diet. Ryan Fujiu believes that it is the regular consumption of red winethat diminishes the dangers of a high fat diet. He states that: The health benefits of red wine have come to light in recent years. I personally think a hero should be asking them if they want your help before they make it worst. Or they can wait till they see someone in danger then throw yourself in the middle. Reason two I think he s arrogant will be the death of him because he think so mighty of his self. He will think he is unstoppable and that s where his demise will come from. Reason three he not that smart he more like a jock most heroes are usually smart and clever Beowulf isn t if he meant an evenly match villain he cloud loss fairly easy from how choices he make . Creation of new species through hybridization is a natural botanical occurrence. It is an accepted assumption that N. tabacum arose as a natural hybrid. N. sylvestris contributes one genome, but agreement on the other contributor is not agreed upon. Artificial creation of hybrids which results in synthetic tobacco bear very close genetic similarity to N. tabacum. Cultivated tobaccos have changed immensely over time and it is unlikely that the forms of other species now available bear to close a resemblance to what existed in the distant past.(1) Botany Tobacco is normally grown as an annual and is potentially a woody, shrub like perennial. The tobacco plant has a very shallow root system which provides poor anchorage for the more extensive above ground development. The N. tabacum types are one of the smaller species of tobacco varieties. The leaves supply the most important economic value of the plant and are given the most attention by botanists. Although there is variation in leaf size and shape there is general uniformity of distribution, size and shape within cultivated types. Between types, size and shape may vary considerably but not in distribution. The characters which may include leaf shape

The Progressive Era Was A Political Movement The Progressive Era was a political movement aimed towards eliminating the influence and corruption of corporations in politics, and making the California government more of a democracy. This took place at the beginning of the 20th century and started in the local government of big cities such as San Francisco and Los Angeles. At this time corporations held monopolies and these corporations, due to their size and power, were able to control much of the economic policy of the time. In fact, Of more than 19,000 elected public officials in California, less than 300 are elected in partisan races. From this one can conclude that, the Progressive Movement was a huge influence on California government and politics. Madison would have been against this because he believed that humans would choose a candidate that only helps themselves, instead of common wealth. Another reform made during the Progressive Era was primary elections. Primary elections are elections held to elect candidates to run for office. In a primary election a party nominee must receive more votes than the other nominees in that party. These types of elections are also used to select presidential candidates. Before primary elections political parties chose candidates during caucuses. Madison would have preferred caucuses because politicians are aware of what goes on where as citizens may not be as informed in politics. This reform gave voters more say in who they wanted in office and, again, gave less power to the political corporations who could drive a certain politician s or party s campaign and get who they wanted elected into office. The Progressives wanted more power in the hands of the people. The Progressives gave voters the power of direct democracy through initiatives, referendums and recalls. Initiatives are citizen made proposals and amendments that can be put on ballots during elections; they are the most frequently used out of the

Gravity can be compared to Jack London s tale To Build a Fire transposed into space, a man versus nature story, because Gravity is not a movie about space, but about the way humans, frail and vulnerable, adapt to it. Another imagery, related to Creation, is the breathtakingly beautiful sunrise shown by the astronauts over the Earth. These imageries have been included in the movie to convey a couple of messages to the public in an artistic manner. The filmmakers tried to emphasize that Earth is a marvelous place, the Garden of Eden for humankind, warm and protective compared to the harsh, dangerous space, and they also tried to induce confidence in humans ability to recover and to restart its evolution after a potential
