N.R. Narayana Murthy is an Indian IT industrialist who co-founded Infosys, one of India's largest IT companies. He helped establish India as a major player in the global IT sector. Some of his major accomplishments include starting Infosys in 1981 with just $250 and growing it into a multi-billion dollar company with over 200,000 employees. He served as CEO from 1981-2002 and chairman from 2002-2011, helping transform Infosys into the successful company it is today through his leadership and values of openness, meritocracy and excellence. He has received several prestigious awards for his contributions to the Indian economy and IT sector.

Karnataka.
• Pursed his BE degree in electrical
engineering from the university of
Mysore.
•Master of the Technological
innovation in PC Technology from
Indian Institute of Technology,
Kanpur during year 1969.
•After this, he had taken up job in
SESA, at London and to design a
real-time software for managing air
freight.
