This sculpture goes by multiple names as mythology tends to have a greek version
and a roman version. There are multiple versions of this myth but the basic overall
plot remains the same. The myth starts with the kidnapping of Proserpina by Pluto to
become his wife and the Queen of the Underworld. Proserpina was picking flowers in
a meadow when Plutoabducts her (Cartwright). She is taken to the Underworld and
is told that if she eats any food while in the Underworld she will have to stay there
forever (BBC). Despite warnings, Proserpina gives into temptation and eats six
pomegranate seeds, because of this she is required to spend six months a year down
in the Underworld with Hades and the remaining six on Earth with her mother, the
Goddess of Agriculture, Ceres(Cartwright). In the months Proserpina spends with her
mother, the Earth is fertile and the weather is nice (Cartwright). And the months spent
apart in the Underworld the Earth is barren and colder, hence explaining the four

Character Analysis Of Henry V
In this time of feudalism, people knew Henry V as an important leader who gives
his glory and honor to not only a few individuals, but to each and every person who
is serving physically as a knight and doing any actions made to build status into
their country. The speech that he gives before the battle clearly states the loyal
characteristics on how much of hard work he put into training his men whether
they were from noble birth or from the poorest and lowest of classes. With the
following statements, they show his gamely character meaning to speak out with
courage with a purpose. First, he states how he and his army can have the
achievement they fight for even if there are only a few men to fight in a chaotic
battle like this, then he forms a type of honorable day and group remembered for
fighting in this battle dead or alive, so that there would be no level on which
individual was better than the other, and last he makes it loud and clear that he
would even treat those men as if they were his brothers because they were the only
few men that would support him and fight with him against their enemies. The three
big examples here are the political expectations on what a group of men needs from a

Hamlet And Hamlet
While Shakespeare was writing Hamlet it s safe to assume that he would not realize
the repercussions that would arise. Surely, he did not know much about psychology
yet, he is referred to by many today as the world s first psychologist due to his play
Hamlet. Shakespeare was acutely aware of what was happening around him and he
was able to convey that through his work making the character Hamleta vessel for
audiences and readers alike to relate to. This relatability has since spilled over into
our culture and society and continues to influence modern artists. Hamlet has also
laid the foundations for many modern archetypes we see in entertainment today such
as; the tragic hero. Not only this but, Hamlet has also inspired many adaptations
such as The Lion King which played a large part in many young millenials lives
without many of them realizing it was based off of Hamlet. Although, this may be
considered Shakespeare s greatest play of all time there is no denying, it is
fundamentally flawed and has inevitably influenced our culture through those flaws
as well. Whether he did intentionally or not will never be known but never the less,
Shakespeare enveloped psychology into his work. Arguably, one of the more famous
things Shakespeare unintentionally influenced was Freudian psychology. Freud was
the true father of psychology and although many of his theories have been debunked
and disproved, they still had a major influence on the science and foundations behind
psychology.
