This workshop aims to demonstrate what has been a successful model for teacher leadership of the Digital Education Revolution in secondary schools. Through informal discussion and demonstration of specific software and Web 2.0 applications, participants will be introduced to a variety of strategies that have been used to overcome barriers to success that confront teachers.
The aim of this presentation is to facilitate discussion and provide participants with a toolbox of strategies to bring about a 21st Century shift in pedagogy, learning styles and learning environments. Both presenters are leaders of DER within their schools and have collaborated on a number of inter-school projects promoting the innovative integration of technology into the 21st century classroom.

The student completed their teaching practice during the COVID-19 pandemic, which presented extraordinary challenges. They had to teach online without real students at first. The student explored different online teaching tools and designed engaging lesson plans with interactive activities and games. This allowed the student to develop their creativity and autonomy. Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

My Journey
- 1. My Journey Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing Arthur Ashe
- 2. AHA!!! I have learned so many things this week. I think the most important is becoming empowered to keep trying and 'playing' with software until it works. In the past I often gave up in frustration, probably one or two clicks away from success. Thank you so much to Maureen and Paul for being here to respond to many questions with patience and expertise!
- 3. I have been informed on many levels, which I plan to both use and extend in my new position as a Secondary IST this September. This means: •Engaging students with relevant, exciting technology options (UDL!) •Using my WIKI links for and with students •Giving students who say ‘I hate Kurzweil’ other options •Working through the tutorials for Kurzweil, Natural Reader, Word Talk, Clickspeak and accessible books. At least now I can do this!!
- 4. The Guiding Principle: Make learning accessible for all! This is what UDL can do for all students, regardless of where they are starting from. My new knowledge can make this happen in my classroom and my school.
- 5. Taking the UDL message further: In my school: Beyond my school: • Sharing with colleagues, • Sharing with colleagues especially by showing how the tools benefit at other schools students • Developing a link with • Giving parents new other staff I met here, options to share, ask questions, • Adding what I can to explore other ways of the School Based Team ‘doing things’ • Working with the IT • Being a voice for UDL at tech the district level
