My fourth grade teacher really instilled the idea that teaching really comes with the
responsibility of connecting with the students, and being there for them when to them it feels
like no one else is and that their world may seem like a giant catastrophe. She really helped me
open my heart to helping others and created this drive to look for others in need of someone who
just simply needs someone to do it all for. Another huge inspiration of my decision to teach comes
from a very recent inspiration of my senior year English teacher. Mrs. Cox had an almost
overwhelming passion for teaching. She rarely missed a day of school and never came without a
smile or positive attitude, and no matter how bad of a day any of could be having or how heavy
of a topic we discussed she always knew how to make us leave with a smile on our face and hearts
wanting to hear more of what she had to say. With all the enthusiasm she had in wanting us to pay
attention to the topic and no matter how dreadful the lesson seemed, she always figured out some
