2. Pajštún
Is a castle ruin in western Slovakia near the village
of Borinka, in the cadastral territory of the city
of Stupava.
The medieval castle, of which only the remains
of the masonry survived, was substantially rebuilt
during the Renaissance.
The castle buildings have been preserved in fragments
around the central courtyard, the area of which is
covered by an embankment of damaged masonry
Mansion in Stupava
The baroque mansion standing on the edge of the park
in the historic center of the city belongs to the important
monuments of Stupava.
In its place originally stood a water castle, which in 1280
was the center of the Pashtun estate.
It belonged to the royal castles, but later changed
owners.
3. The Trenčín Castle
Is a relatively large renovated castle, rising on a steep
limestone cliff directly above the town of Trenčín.
It is a characteristic landmark not only of Trenčín,
but also of the whole of Central Považie.
It is a national cultural monument.
The Trenčín castle was probably built
on the site of a castle.

Plague Column
In the summer of 1710, not even the city of Trenčín
escaped the consequences of a mass infection.
The sad period, during which more than 1000 people
died, is commemorated by the Plague Column of the
Holy Trinity in the center of the city.
The Plague Column was built in 1712 by Count Mikuláš
