Poland is situated on the Baltic Sea.

In addition to Poland, Baltic Sea borders with Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia and Sweden.

The Baltic Sea is often visited by tourists, especially in
summer. Summer temperature is about 22 degrees. In
winter it is about 0-2 °C.

cormorants, codes, herrings.
Cracow
Cracow is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in
Poland. It is Situated on the Vistula River (Polish: Wisła).
The population of the city is approximately 760,000.
Kraków is one of the leading centres of Polish academic,
cultural, and artistic life.

One of the most important attractions to see in Cracow is the
Wawel Royal Castle. It was buit in 14th century. For centuries the
Castle was the residence of the kings of Poland and the symbol
of Polish statehood. Wawel is now one of the country’s premier
art museums. There you can see numerous collections of
Renaissance paintings, prints, sculpture, textiles, goldsmith’s
work, arms and armor, tapestry, ceramics, and furniture.
Cracow
The Jagiellonian University is one of the oldest universities in
the world, founded in 1364. It is considered the best Polish
university and the most prestigious one.

The Kraków Barbican is a historic gateway leading into the Old
Town of Kraków. The barbican, built around 1498, is one of the
few remaining relics of the complex network of fortifications and
the best preserved one in Europe. It currently serves as a tourist
attraction and venue for a variety of exhibitions.

The Renaissance Cloth Hall is one of the city's most
recognizable places. It is the central point of the main
market square in the Old Town (listed as a UNESCO World
Heritage Site since 1978).

is the capital city and other major cities are Elbląg and Ełk.

customs, traditional cuisine. Mazury is a region full
of surprises. Everyone is welcome to come there,
explore Mazury and relax themselves at any time of
the year.
The Bieszczady
Mountains
The Bieszczady Mountains are located in southern Poland. These
mountains are big but they are not the biggest in Poland.
Their highest peak is “Tarnica” (1346 meters above the sea
level). Animals which we can not meet in other parts of
Poland live in these mountains (e.g.-”snake eskulap”.) In
Bieszczady, there are few forests which are inhabited by
bisons, deers, volves, wildcats.

Gdynia – city with county rights in northern
Poland, in Pomorskie, located on the Baltic
Sea, on the Embakment of Gdansk. Included
in the Tri-City.

The Tatra Mountains
The Tatra Mountains are the highest mountain
range in Poland. They are located in the south
of Poland and in the northern Slovakia. The
highest peaks on the territory of Poland are:
Rysy- 2503 meters, Kasprowy Wierch - 1987
meters and Giewont -1894 meters. These are
of course, not all the peaks of the Tatra
Mountains. The Tatra Mountains are 57
kilometers long. The Tatra Mountains belong
to the World Network of Biosphere Reserves
of UNESCO.

tourists to their famous centre, Zakopane.
Warsaw
Warsaw is the capital and the biggest city in Poland.
The symbol of Warsaw is a mermaid. Places worth
visiting in Warsaw are e.g.: Palace of Culture and
Science or Palace in Wilanów.

There is also Polish Television Studio in Warsaw.
Historic market square in Warsaw is very big and
beautiful. In the free time we can go to park “ Royal
£azienki”. This is the ideal place to relax.

There is also a lot of shopping malls in Warsaw. The
most famous is “Z³ote Tarasy”. There are also
modern sports facilities e.g. the National Stadium. I
invite you to visit Warsaw.
Ustroń
Ustroń is a city in the southern part of Silesian
Province, in the district of Cieszyn. It is a convenient
base for hikers. In Ustroń there are also many bike
trails and many attractions. There is, among other
things: Forest Park of Surprises, created in natural
environment.
Ustroń
Goats, deer and mouflons run freely in the paths of
the forest. Park combines many functions:
recreational and educational ones, it organizes
falcon shows.

Wieliczka
The town of Wieliczka, lies within the Kraków metropolitan area. It is famous
for the Wieliczka Salt Mine. The mine was built in the 13th century. It
produced table salt continuously until 2007, as one of the world's oldest salt
mines still in operation. Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the most precious
monuments of Polish culture. Today it combines tradition with modernity as
it is both centuries of history and an underground city.
