Social Intranets: Social SharePoint 2013 and Yammer EvolutionSPC Adriatics
Speaker: Joel Oleson;
All the talk these days seem to be about social. The Traditional portals must evolve. SharePoint is recognized as the largest Intranet platform, but it is often setup in traditional ways with less social elements turned on or taken advantage of. In this session we’ll look at the recent Microsoft acquisition of Yammer and integration between the two.

Enterprise 2.0 – adding a social layer to SharePointJacobs Australia
Yianni Achele talks about the out-of-the-box capabilities of SharePoint, and shows with the integration of applications such as NewsGator, Yammer, telligent and jive, SharePoint can deliver a "best of breed" social media platform.
Social computing is a rapidly growing and constantly evolving technology that is aimed at increasing communication, encouraging collaboration, and enhancing productivity among people and resources. Social computing applications or Web 2.0 are built on a range of advanced and supporting technologies that enhance collective action and interaction which currently dominates the Web (Parameswaran & Whinston 2007).
Social computing applications are categorized into social media, social bookmarking, and social networks categories as identified by the continuing Web 2.0 trend (Schwartz et al. 2009; Amer-Yahia, 2009). Each of these categories has been embodied by various social software and web sites. Some of the best-known and equally famous social web sites that dominate the web are Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Wikipedia, Delicious, and LinkedIn.

Where will your business' prosperity and growth come from? How do you influence new customers in a low cost fashion?
How do you generate new opportunities for prosperity and growth?
A really brief overview of a social marketing tools to use and how for the novice. It is a start guide for a seller working at an education provider. I thought I would pull something together to give the seller somewhere to start. Makes me wonder if companies would pay for these types of consulting services - thoughts?
Here is a presentation I used to use a few years ago to help executives get a grip on the need to have a social presence. In order to convince an executive to do something they are not comfortable in doing we need to use "Fear" = we are not keeping pace with my colleagues/competitors "Personal Gain" = I will get something out of this which will help me with the things I value e.g.. KPI metrics, external interests.
Some of the office workers needed to understand what cloud computing is - often cloud has a lot of marketing but its hard to understand what it is in practical terms. I have also added a few slides on Softlayer and IBM passport advantage software.
This presentation deck looks at the future of the digital profile, how corporations are aggregating employee profiles and then a solution to control access to your digital profile.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
