Multiple Intelligence Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Multiple Intelligence" poses a unique set of challenges, as it
requires a comprehensive understanding of the concept and its various dimensions. The difficulty
arises from the need to delve into Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, which
suggests that intelligence is not a singular entity but a collection of distinct abilities. This
necessitates a thorough exploration of the different types of intelligences identified by Gardner,
such as linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal,
intrapersonal, and naturalistic intelligences.
Moreover, the challenge lies in presenting a cohesive and well-structured essay that seamlessly
integrates these diverse intelligences while maintaining a clear and engaging narrative. Balancing
the theoretical aspects with practical examples and real-world applications adds another layer of
complexity. Addressing the implications of multiple intelligences in education, personal
development, and various professional fields further complicates the task.
In order to write a compelling essay on this topic, one must not only possess a solid grasp of
Gardner's theory but also be able to critically analyze its implications and significance. This
involves synthesizing information from various sources, including scholarly articles, books, and
empirical studies. Additionally, the writer needs to articulate their thoughts in a coherent and
persuasive manner, ensuring that the essay captures the reader's attention and communicates
complex ideas effectively.
Despite the challenges, a well-executed essay on multiple intelligences has the potential to offer
valuable insights into the diverse ways in which individuals perceive and interact with the world.
It can shed light on the importance of recognizing and nurturing various intelligences to foster
holistic development in both educational and personal contexts.
In conclusion, tackling a "Multiple Intelligence" essay requires a combination of in-depth
research, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. It demands a nuanced
understanding of Howard Gardner's theory and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear
and engaging manner. However, with careful planning and dedication, navigating the intricacies
of this topic can result in a thought-provoking and insightful piece of writing.

The Lemon Orchard Sympathy
In The Lemon Orchard the writer creates tension and sympathy by contrasting the
two characters of the slave and the gang members creating an unequal relationship.
The gang members constantly threaten the man whilst asking him questions to
intimidate him such as, do you hear, hotnot? Answer me or I will shoot a hole
through your spine. The tone in which he asks him shows how the gang are in full
control of the situation. The noun answer reinforces how demanding and powerful
the gang is and by forcing the answer they are intimidating the man and gaining a
sense of power. Despite this we feel a lot of sympathy for the man because in the
relationship the innocent man is belittled and bullied by the gang members. The idea

They demanded the man followed their orders and if not they will have to take
action. The imperative demanded displays the hostility of the gang members and
it also connotes aggression and violence. It also implies the dominance they have
over the man who we might feel sympathy for because he is outnumbered,
undeserving of the abuse and he also is innocent. The hostile language used is
reinforced when they refer to the coloured man as hotnot . This clearly portrays
how cruel they are to the man being victimised and this also shows how they have
taken away the man s identity and given him a racist, degrading name in place of
that. The reader can really feel sympathy for the man because he has been unfairly
abused because of how dignified he is throughout all of it, for example; he was
cold and tried to prevent himself from shivering in case it should be mistaken for
cowardice. The verb tried reinforces his dignity but also his fear of death and for
that we feel sympathy for him. The fact they use these names really shows how weak
and undignified they really are which completely contrasts all of the characteristics of
the coloured
Extended Definition Of Propaganda
Anyone who has turned on the TV in recent months has definitely seen it. ISIS has
been known to frequently utilize it, and even Donald Duck has been used to promote
it. It can comfortably travel through a multitude of mediums to promote things from
sinister to beneficial, laughable to serious. The it that I m speaking of is known as
propaganda. Propaganda can be a tricky word to define because of the different
ways it is utilized and the many words that it is nearly synonymous with. To me,
propaganda is content used to thoroughly advertise a certain viewpoint with the intent
of gaining viewers support. However, to more thoroughly explain this word, I must

Propaganda is used to promote a certain cause to a mass audience through mass media
. Propaganda can be used to spread information for good or bad reasons and has
been known to do both. The use of propaganda for bad reasons has caused many
people to view it as a deceitful word, one that stretches the truth and blows things
out of proportion to gain support even though that is not always the case. For
example, propaganda likes to use testimonials, glittering generalities, card
stacking, and other techniques to present information in the best and most biased
light (Ogelsbee, n.d.). The article Defining Propaganda (n.d.) explains that
propaganda can spread its message through a variety of mediums such as pictures,
drawings, exhibits, speeches, parades, songs, and so forth. It can present itself in
such a way that the audience won t even realize what it is, which can help with its
effectiveness. Basically, this means propaganda can be concealed or open. It can
also weasel its way into your life and leave a lasting emotional effect by using a
combination of emotional and logical appeals (Defining Propaganda, n.d.).
Propaganda typically appeals to emotion because it helps get a message across in a
short amount of time and is the most effective. All of this means that propaganda can
come in many different forms and can be adapted to fit pretty much any
Liberal News Media Analysis
News sources are networks where many people are informed about important news
event. Being liberal bias about news networks is to be open to new opinions about
an event and sometimes can be given false information or misinterpretation about
it. Having a conservative view about the news is still having to hold to certain
beliefs and values and being cautious about what changes are happening. Many
people get news from the six powers house news networks that are either liberal or
conservative. CBS, ABC, and NBC were the only news networks, since 1948,
where people were able to get the recent news happening and are now considered
the mainstream news channels which also have a liberal view about the news. CNN,
MSNBC, and CNBC are the news networks that run in cable tv and are considered

These cable news started in the 1980s because the mainstream news did not get all
the information out and were not telling the whole truth. Later in 1996, FOX News
started and became really popular because of being both liberal and conservative
and were considered the truth seekers. FOX News decided to become a news
network because since all the other six news networks were not telling the whole
truth, Fox decided to get the information and tell the truth without lying and getting
everything out. Before cable news, the mainstream news networks were the only
channels where many people get the news. All three news networks talk about the
same event happening currently, but not all will have the same details and have
different information and sometimes that information is not truth or correct because
these news sources want to be the first ones to get the news on air for people to
view and at times leave out the main focus of the occurrence. ABC, CBS, and NBC
are liberal bias and at times misinterpreted the news and give false information.

Bob s Zombie Apocalypse
So I think I m being attacked by zombies and I start screaming Do you wanna make
out? And I make out with it. This quote from the hit show Bob s Burgers is a
brilliant representation on just how much the Zombie Apocalypse has evolved, yet
still maintains the fear of being mauled by the undead hordes. Today, various form of
media and literature have taken the classic sense of a zombieinfested world and
turned them upside down. Instead of only having insatiable hunger, they can talk,
walk, and have problems just like their human counterparts. On the flipside, stories
presenting the original zombies still thrive. These two genres are zombies are

The humdrum of normal life gets infected with the infected with little to know
details about why or how it happened. The only scientific conclusion drawn in the

in this show are more traditional. They are normal colored decomposing bodies
whose only drive is to rip apart any living creature it can get its hands on. The
zombies have been scene eating people and a wide variety of animals. A bite from
a zombie leads to an illness that eventually kills, and triggers the turn of, whoever
the unlucky victim may be. The only way to stop the bite from infecting a victim
is immediate amputation. The main protagonist is human ex cop Rick and his
gang of survivors. The clear antagonists are the zombies. However, as the series
progressed past the initial years of the apocalypse the zombies almost become a
background threat to the human villains that pop up and wreak havoc. Having
human and zombie s antagonists is the only thing these two shows have in
common. The zombies of IZOMBIE are drained of all color, hunger is only one of
their characteristics, they only eat human brains, and people only turn if they have
direct contact with zombie DNA. Most of them opt to tan and dye, unlike
protagonist Liv Moore, and live their lives under noses of the humans of the city. The

Impact Of Sports In The 1920s
The 1920s has been called the Golden Age of American Sports (Sumner par 1). The
roaring twenties had many sports icons and many sports upcomings. Some
highlights of the Golden Age are from baseball, football, basketball, boxing, golf,
and horse racing. All these sports were relevant and popular during the 20s. Sports
has had an impact on society since the 1920sand still has an impact on society today
through exciting sports and exciting players. In the 1920s sports started to change.
The twenties was the decade for sports that produced sports icons and hall of famers.
Players such as Babe Ruth and Red Grange, boxer Jack Dempsey and horse racer

Golf also produced its legend from the era, Bobby Jones. In the span of 8 years,
Jones won 13 national championships, both in Europe and the United States. He was
the original hot headed golfer, known to either play brilliantly, or to implode on the
course (Boland par 21). Bobby undoubtedly prevailed in golf and no one could stop
him.
Another thing that change in The Golden age was the stadiums. Spectator sports
such as basketball, baseball and boxing reached new heights of popularity in the
1920s and massive stadiums were built in cities to cater for the increasing interest
of people who wanted to watch and enjoy the excitement of spectator sports (Alchin
par 12). People started to go out and watch sports games and boxing matches.
Madison Square Garden was built in 1925 and took 249 days to build.
Professional basketball started to develop. As said by Reema Teams flourished
across the country throughout the 1920s. There were thousands of men s
professional basketball teams in towns and cities all over the United States.
Sometimes Players jumped from team to team and teams played in different cities.
Leagues sometimes came and went (slide 9). Many teams started to develop like the
Celtics and the Harlem Globetrotters.
Another part of sports in the 1920s was discrimination and prejudice. Alchin said in
paragraph 20 of American sports of the 1920s Racial prejudice against African
Americans were prevalent as was discrimination from
Societies Maintaining Control in The Allegory of the Cave...
In The Allegory of the Cave and The Giver, these societies maintain control in
different ways. In The Allegory of the Cave, the prisoners are physically restrained,
but on the other hand, the community members in The Giver have a precision of
language rule. The people have been... shackled by the legs and neck...unable to
turn their heads around. The puppeteers in The Allegory of the Cave have
controlled the prisoners by shackling them by their legs and neck so they cannot
move. They cannot go against the puppeteers nor can they move freely to do
whatever they want so, the prisoners do what the puppeteers tell them. Do you love
me? ... Jonas. You, of all people. Precision of language, please! ... our community can
t function smoothly if people don t use precise language. (127) This quote in The
Givershows how precision of language controls the members of the community and
cannot function without it. It limits a range of experience by using more precise
words, so they would not over react. While the puppeteers maintain controlof the
prisoners physically, the Elders sustain it by controlling them mentally. The societies
in The Allegory of the Cave and The Giver, maintain control in similar ways too. In
The Allegory of the Cave and The Giver, the controllers both limit the range of
experience of the members in the community. Thus they stay in the same place so
that there is only one thing for them to look at: whatever they encounter in front of
Teen Parent Connections Development Intern
I began searching for an internship spring semester of my sophomore year. I was
looking at various places for example, non profit organizations, county of DuPage,
and companies that dealt with marketing and advertising. My cousin Ashley told me
that the non profit organization (Teen Parent Connection) she worked for had a
public relations internopening. I immediately applied and began the interviewing
process. Thus, I secured the position of Teen Parent Connections development Intern.
Through my reflection paper I will discuss my expectations for the internship. I will

participants in different settings more. Lastly, I found that when I made a mistake

The Negative Impact Of The Stock Market Crash Of 1929
A turning point is a point at which a significant change occurs. In United States
history, there has been many turning points which have dramatically impacted the
development of the nation.Beginning on October 29, 1929, there was a stock
market crash in the United States which was a significant turning point because it
halted the considerable economic success from the roaring 1920s, leading to a
nationwide depression. This event took place during the presidency of Herbert
Hoover, and it resulted in a drastic change of the United States political, economic,
and social structure. This event also spurred the interest of many political figures to
try to save the economy including Franklin Delano Roosevelt who issued many
reforms for the protection of the people and to restore the vitality of the nation. The
Stock Market Crash of 1929 was a major turning point in United States History
because it represented the negative impacts of the changes derived from the roaring
20 s, and the events that occurred after this event strongly impacted the structure of
society leading up to today. There were many historical circumstances that caused
the failure of the stock market in 1929. One of the major reasons for this collapse
was speculation and irrational exuberance of the stock market in the 1920s. The stock
market boosted the confidence of many individuals in the United States for gaining
tremendous wealth because of its growing success in the economy. Therefore, many
people placed
Nominalism Essay
Nominalism The great revival of philosophical and theological study which the
thirteenth century witnessed was conditioned by the influence of Aristotle. The
theory of the universe propounded by the Stagirite had to be reconciled with the
traditional Platonic Augustinian realism. This Thomas Aquinas undertook to do,
following, Aristotle as closely as possible. Duns Scotus, on the other hand, attempted
to maintain the ancient realism, while supporting it by modern or Aristotelian
methods. Interests and tendencies, however, came up in his work which drove his
disciples away from his position. The growth of empirical research and psychological
analysis together with the new activity of the reason in the epistemological field on

In respect of the theory of cognition, where Duns Scotus had placed between the
perceiving subject and the object perceived a sensible species and an intelligible
species, Ockham considers these as superfluous machinery. Objects call forth sense
impressions in us, which are transmuted by the active intellect into mental images.
These images are thus a product of the intellect, not species which flow from the
object into the intellectus possibilis. The reality of these images is thus, in the
modern use of the terms, not objective but subjective. This is true not merely of the
terms of first intention formed directly from sense impression, but also of the terms
of second intention, i.e., the abstract terms which take note of common attributes, or
universals. These latter correspond to a tendency of the human mind, which can not
perceive individuals without at the same time attempting to form a general concept. A
white object simultaneously suggests abstract whiteness; an extended, related,
enduring object forces the conception of extension, relation, duration. The result of
this line of reasoning is the absolute subjectivity of all concepts and universals and
the limitation of knowledge to the mind and its concepts although these are real
entities because of their subjective existence in the mind, reproducing the actual
according to the constitution of the mind. Thus Ockham is really the pioneer of
modern epistemology. The

We often have to make some tough decisions, as we get older every day. If you are

alternative that not many people realize. Your relative could sell your own home

Can Seniors Sell Their Home After Getting a Reverse Mortgage?

Reverse mortgages become due once all borrowers named on loan die. If there are
two borrowers, both individuals must pass away before their lender can require
repayment.
Since the borrowers would not be in a position to repay the loan themselves, the
responsibility would be handed down to their heirs. In this case, the borrowers heirs
would have three main choices: sign the deed over to the bank, sell the home, or
refinance the loan. If the balance of the loan exceeds the home value, heirs could
avoid the responsibility of selling the house by signing the residence over to the
lender.
If the home is worth more than the loan balance, heirs will benefit more from
selling the house themselves. As long as the individuals make a reasonable effort
to sell the home, the lender should give them 12 months to find a buyer. Once the
house is sold, the lender will be repaid, and the borrowers heirs will keep any
remaining funds. It is, however, essential to understanding that the lender will expect
the home to be sold for its appraised value. If the selling price is much lower than the
estimated cost, the lender might require additional payment. It keeps people from
taking advantage of lenders by selling homes to family or friends at much discounted
Essay On The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And Mr Hyde
Society Changes, Humanity Does Not A greek scholar named Origen once said,
the power of choosing good and evil is within reach of us all (Origen). For
centuries mankind has quarreled with the concept of good and evil, right and
wrong, just and unjust. Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one
who is right and never sins (NIV, Ecce. 7:20). Even king Solomon, a man widely
regarded as the wisest man in human history, ponders this question back around 180
BCE. This query is raised once more in during the Victorian era by Robert Louis
Stevenson. His parabolic tale The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde shows
what is likely to happen if someone were to let out their darker inhibitions. In a
time of snobbish propriety, Robert Louis Stevenson looked past the exterior to
question the true nature of man. Understanding Robert Louis Stevenson s insightful

time period, Stevenson s own personal history, and his perception of human nature.
The Victorian era refers to the time period in which Queen Victoria reigned in
England. It is often known for having strict rules stating what is proper and what is
off color. The term Victorian morality is often used to describe the values of the
period, which includes sexual proprietary, hard work, honesty, thrift, sense of duty
and responsibility towards the less well off ( Victorian Era Morality ). This standard

Discuss the Postive and Negative Influences of Corporate...
The culture of an organisation can be seen as a set of core characteristics that are
collectively valued by all members of that organisation; and, corporate culture is
believed to be a key element in the success of any organisation (Visagie et al. 2002).
Schein (2004) emphasises that organisational cultures provide group members with a
way of giving meaning to their daily lives, setting guidelines and rules for how to
behave and most important, reducing and containing the anxiety of dealing with an
unpredictable and uncertain environment. The aim of this paper is to provide a clear

Their importance stems from the link they are assumed to have with the deeper
level of an organisation s culture, of which they are generally thought to be
indicators (Brown, 1998). Kemp and Dwyer (2001) specifies the six major types of
artefacts that can be distinguished rituals and routines, stories, symbols, power
structures, organisational structures and control systems. These form the outer layer
of the firm s cultural web , Kemp and Dwyer (2001, citing Johnson and Scholes,
1997, pp. 69 74). пѓ Rituals and Routines: recurrent patterns of behaviour are a
feature of organisational life. The routine ways that members of the organisation
behave towards each other and towards those outside the organisation comprise the
way we do things around here . The rituals of organisational life are the special events
through which the organisation emphasises what is particularly important and
reinforces the way we do things around here . The greetings of guests on arrival and
the checkout procedure in a hotel are examples of routines. Rituals include relatively
formal organisational processes such as training programs, appointment, promotion
and assessment procedures, and so on. пѓ Stories: these have long been recognised
to be an integral feature of organisational life. People tend to tell stories not just
because the performance is itself enjoyable, but in order to influence

also one of the most extensive thefts of computer information. MOD was founded by
several blue collar youth in New York, which aimed at proving their power in
computer and network underground and beating other hackers and hacker gangs
(TABOR, 1992). MOD traded boasts, tapping into telephone systems, stealing
confidential information from government or other highly protected systems. At
first, their purpose was to prove that they are better and more skilled than other
hackers, but later MOD members began to steal confidential information and sell it
for personal gains. In 1992, five members of MOD were indicted in federal court, this
is the symbol of the fall of MOD, after these five members, more and more members

Julia Robinson Math Festival Research Paper
The mission of Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival (JRMF) activities is to connect
pre college students with the working community of research mathematicians and the
world of recreational mathematics. We expose students and their teachers to
advanced mathematics in an engaging way that affects both their content knowledge
and their attitude towards the subject.
We accomplish this by running joyous cooperative events at schools, universities, and
community centers after school, involving students, teachers, and members of the
mathematics community. These Festivals offer an alternative to mathematics
competition and examination, the more traditional ways to infuse advanced
mathematics into the curriculum.

facilitator, a mathematical professional, teacher, or older student who guides the

The activities cover a wide variety of mathematical topics, requiring no more

The Mother Archetype Of James Joyce s Dubliners
The Mother Archetype in James Joyce s Dubliners
An archetype is an instantly recognizable, fundamental theme, character, or symbol.
According to Carl Jung, archetypes are part of the collective unconscious, an
inherent, species wide knowledge base that is embedded in our natural and cultural
identity (Boeree, Webspace). One example of a Jungian archetype is the mother. In
the stories The Boarding House and A Mother from Dubliners, James Joyce explores
the two aspects of the mother archetype and how they manifest themselves in the
ways Mrs. Mooney and Mrs. Kearney protect and control their daughters.
The mother archetype comprises two potential manifestations. Jung describes the
loving and the terrible mother:
The qualities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She was a big imposing woman who dealt with moral problems as a cleaver deals
with meat (47, 49). Her manipulativeness would seem to condemn her as a terrible
mother who merely wishes to foist her daughter onto some poor, unsuspecting sap.
She thought of some mothers she knew who could not get their daughters off their
hands (50). However there is evidence that Mrs. Mooney does truly care for her
daughter and wants the best for her. Some mothers would be content to patch up
such an affair for a sum of money; she had known cases of it. But she would not do
so. For her, only one reparation could make up for the loss of her daughter s
honour: marriage. She is balanced between the loving and terrible mother,
simultaneously embodying both aspects of the archetype. To begin with she had all
the weight of social opinion on her side: she was an outraged mother (Joyce 50).
Mrs. Mooney is able to maintain the moral high ground and secure society s approval
despite her questionable conduct because she is fulfilling her archetypal role.
In contrast, Mrs. Kearney is unable to achieve the archetypal balance, and fails in
her maternal role. The title of the story is ironic, because Mrs. Kearney fails as a
mother. She starts off well, trying to take advantage of the Irish Revival to benefit her
daughter.
When the Irish Revival began to be appreciable Mrs. Kearney determined to take
advantage of her daughter s name
Significance And Significance Of Outsourcing
It is an evident fact that outsourcing is quite prevalent practice among both public and
private organizations. It has been considered as one of the prime elements of any
business strategy. It is with the aid of outsourcing that organizations attempt to reduce
the overall cost of sustenance and augment organizational productivity in
comprehensive terms. The activity of outsourcingenables the organization to render
higher level of emphasis on core activities of business. In the past thirty years, various
researchers have undertaken researches to support outsourcing as a mechanism for
bringing down organizational costsin a substantial manner. But the comprehensive
impact of outsourcing remains to be seen. This research work will assess the
relevance and significance of outsourcing in reference to the process of new product
development. It is a given fact that the process of new product development is a
highly knowledge driven activity and thereby depends on array of other activities. It
is highly dependent on organization s capabilities to manage uncertainties throughout
the course of new product development. Hence, various concerns in reference to
acquisition of knowledge and application need to be managed in the right manner. In
the words of Ford et al (1993), the main reason for costreduction is that organizations
engage in the process of outsourcing. Hence outsourcing of new product
development process can be regarded as a tool to decrease the high costs that are
Why Is It Important To Have Too Much Homework For
Students
You plan on going over to your friends house after school then bam, all of your
teachers assign you 10 pages of homework. You have swim practice right after
school then you have to go straight to soccer afterwards and you don t get home
until 8:00. Bam! Your teachers assign you 3 hours of homework that night.
Teachers assign their students too much homework on a daily basis giving them
barley any free time to socialize with friends or family or have time to relax after
sports. Too much homework is a problem because most students are busy with after
school activities and don t get home until later giving them little time to do the
mountains of homework assigned by their teachers everyday. Teachers have a big
part of causing us students to have too much homework. First of all, they waste too
much time in class by talking or yelling at students. So when the teachers talk too
much we loose class time to get a head start on our homework for that night. Also,
having all four core classes all school year round at the same time gives us piles of
homework. Teachers should try and keep a better schedule for the year to try and
minimize the amount of homework we get. One last cause is sports. Students enjoy
being in sports and don t get home until later leaving them with more homework to do
at night.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Or it makes you smarter! I disagree. Homework can stress some people out and
make them very frustrated. That can lead to a loss of sleep which could cause a
lack of focus making it hard to pay attention in class which would make your
homework even harder because you don t know what you re doing causing you to
stay up later. According to Negative Effects Of Too Much Homework having a lot of
homework every night can reduce social interaction, affect active learning, disturb life
balance, and you could become underproductive (newkidscenter.com). It seems right
that students should have less
Positive, Positive And Positive Psychology
Hope is an important aspect of positive psychology that assists individuals to live
positively by accepting tough life experiences through the expectation of a better
outcome. Hope is considered to be a positive motivational state, which encourages
individuals to develop methods that motivate themselves to achieve their coveted
goals (Snyder, 2000). Individuals with high hope perceive barriers in goal
attainment as challenges that they can overcome by utilising their pathway thoughts
to form alternative routes to achieve their goals (Snyder, 1994 as cited in Snyder,
2000). Findings show that achieving goals is identified with positive emotions
(Snyder et al, 1996). Research demonstrates the benefits of keeping high hope
includes, positive emotions (Snyder, 2009), a negative correlation with sadness and
emotional problems (Ciarrochi et al., 2007), low levels of depression and anxiety
(Snyder et al, 1997) and students with high hope have reported feeling more
confident and motivated compared to students with low hope (Snyder et al, 2002).
Moreover, Lazarus (1991), has identified hope to be a coping mechanism for
individuals that are dealing with stressful, painful or traumatic life experiences.
Hopelessness is the inclination that circumstances will not improve or the belief that
there is no alternative solution for the problem. Hopelessness is characterized by a
sense of apathy, passivity, and futility, and consequently affecting how an individual

End Neglected Tropical Diseases Act
Legislative Process Review: End Neglected Tropical Diseases Act (2015) Steven E
Stefanowicz, Jr., BSN, RN Drexel UniversityAbstract This paper explores the
federal legislative process, specifically in regards to House of Representatives Bill
1797 (H.R. 1797), formally known as the End Neglected Tropical Diseases Act.
Information in regards to the legislative bill and process, including current and
relevant legislative actions, proposed intent, and relevance to the fields of health
care and nursing are examined and reviewed. The bill investigates the importance
of education, research, and development of programing by the United States
Agency for International Development (USAID) in regards to seventeen Neglected
Tropical Diseases (NTDs), as identified by the World Health Organization (WHO),
and other rare, life threatening diseases found throughout the world. As
Representative Christopher Smith of New Jersey sponsors and defends enactment
of the bill, information in regards to the relevance of Neglected Tropical Diseases
in comparison to current health care concerns are reviewed. While the bill has
failed in a previous Congressional Session, it is necessary to support the enactment
of this and related legislature in order to not only protect the general public, but
those healthcare professionals caring for individuals affected by these diseases.

I Left My Native Country Costa Rica Essay
Midterm Assignment
In 2002, I left my native country Costa Rica. I left everyone and everything that
once matter to me. When I first arrive to Canada to my mother s house, I didn t
know what to expect, I didn t know what was coming. The language and culture
were not the same; everything was so new to me. I had to adapt, the lifestyle was
rapidly and noisy. Back in my native country everything was so different, it was a
little town, where I could walk to school or ride my bicycle and my mother wouldn
t have to worry. Toronto was a big city, but on top of being bigger than my
hometown it was cold and the days were shorter. It was 2004 when my mother
decided that United States seems like a better alternative to live, and once again I
was leaving everything behind.
At 18 years old, I was receiving my high school diploma from Brien McMahon in
Norwalk, CT. A mixed of emotions was going through my mind, I didn t know if I
was able to go to College or not, I never looked into it because I wasn t sure, I never
liked School, but I did know one thing and that was I wanted to help those who were
in need. I have learned through my years that values, beliefs and ethics can have a
profound effect on the decisions people make on a daily basis.
Even though I never enjoyed moving from country to country I enjoyed the many
cultures and beliefs from every country. All my life I ve been doing what is right, I

Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) includes objects which communicate across a variety of
networks. Things in terms of Internet of Things (IoT) encompass all those devices
which have the ability to sense and/or control and transfer data between other devices
using existing network technologies. Some of the examples are routers, switches,
security cameras, control systems used in gas stations etc. This paper begins with an
introduction on IoT. As IoT includes thousands of devices, we have restricted our
scope to security cameras. Our paper discusses in detail the vulnerabilities existing in
today s security cameras, different ways in which cyber criminals can take advantage
of these weaknesses and the measures that can be taken to strengthen security in
cameras.
Introduction
The world is getting smarter and better and so are the devices. With the improved
technology, we can check our mails on our watch; control our home temperature
through our smartphone and much more. The term Internet of Things is referred to
any object or device which connects to the Internet to automatically send and/or
receive data [1].
The following are some of the IoT devices [1]:

Essay about Ice Hockey and Lacrosse
Ice Hockey and Lacrosse
Both Lacrosse and Ice hockey are two sports that share similar aspects. One example
would be that they both require plenty of athletic prowess, as well as countless hours
of training and practice to master. The high amount of contact in both sports enables a
player to become both physically and mentally tough . Lacrosse has grown to its
highest level of popularity it has ever reached over the last ten years. Ice hockey has
seen a steady climb in its popularity over the past 25 years making it one of the
most popular sports in not only Long Island, but all across the U.S. However, there
are many differences as well, and we should not overlook the fact that there are plenty
of distinctions between the two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The biggest difference between ice hockey and lacrosse is the playing field. In
hockey its ice, in lacrosse its grass. In addition to this would be the field
dimensions. A lacrosse field is rectangular, while a hockey rink is oval. Another
difference would be the number of players present on the field at one time. In
lacrosse, 10 players are allowed at one time to work together at scoring a goal. In
hockey, only 6 players are allowed to grace the field during each shift. Which
brings the topic to another distinction, the length of shifts. In hockey the shifts are
only about two to three minutes long, allowing fresh players to take the ice more
often than in lacrosse, where the shifts are about every 10 to 12 minutes. Another
major difference is that usually hockey is played during the winter months,
lacrosse in the springtime. I use the word usually because there are ice rinks that
will operate and host leagues during the summer, but its is rare due to the expense
of cooling the ice during the hot summer days. Lacrosse players use cleats, which
are sneakers equipped with little studs on the bottom to increase traction. Hockey
players use skates to glide along the ice. A last differentiation would be the origin
of both sports. Hockey was invented by Canadians, and lacrosse was created by
American Indians, who oddly enough, used to use squirrel skulls because an official
lacrosse ball had not been invented yet. Ice hockey and lacrosse are
Inequity In The Great Gatsby Analysis
While The Great Gatsby might seem like a bright, fast, and brilliant representation
of the jazz age, there is actually injustice lurking within. Inequity means a lack of
fairness or justice, or unfair act. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is about a
pair of lovers, Daisy and Gatsby, who reunite after five years of silence, and learn
that trying to recreate the past comes with bad consequences. George and Myrtle
Wilson are a poor couple in relation to the very wealthy Daisy and Tom. Myrtle is
Tom s mistress, and George fixes Tom s cars for him. George and Myrtle are the
victims of inequity in The Great Gatsbybecause they represent the divide between
the very rich and the very poor in New York, and their places in society and quality of
life.
Myrtle has been affected by both socioeconomic and gender inequity. She is
unhappy being trapped in the lower middle class in the valley of ashes, but she can
not work hard to raise her status because she is a woman. When Myrtle first
married George Wilson, she thought she was marrying a rich man, but she later
realizes that this was a trick and Wilson is very poor: I knew right away I made a
mistake. He borrowed somebody s best suit to get married in, and never even told
me about it, and the man came after it one day when he was out. She looked
around to see who was listening. Oh, is that your suit? I said. This is the first I ever
heard about it. But I gave it to him and then I lay down and cried to beat the band all
Thematic Transformation In Pixar s Up
Thematic Transformation in Up Released on May 29, 2009, Pixar s Up made its
debut onto the big screen, and created an entertaining viewing for a wide ranged
audience. With the directorship of Pete Docter and Bob Peterson, the team was able
to create an animation picture, and bring it to life with the music and help of
composer Michael Giacchino. Throughout the course of the feature film, the
development of multiple new adventures, despite the positive and negative
circumstances, take place in the protagonist s life. In order to accommodate the
diverse potential of the theme, Michael Giacchino created a musical arrangement
that, for the most part, would mold itself in order to suit the particular action that the
characters in the movie would be experiencing. This particular leitmotif is introduced
to us in the beginning when Carl, and his wife, Elli begin their lives together merrily,
through the formation of the club. However, the theme becomes... Show more content

Giacchino establishes the leitmotif that is associated with adventure throughout the

Disney Seventieth Anniversary Essay
It was Disney s Seventieth Anniversary on July 17 in Knox Pennsylvania and I
decided to have a few friends over to celebrate this occasion. When everyone
arrived we sat down to enjoy a spectacular meal made by some of my friends. When
we sat down and were eating I told them that I had a story to tell then. They all

It all began on a warm summer day on July 17th in China. There was a large
gathering in the fresh waters of South China Sea. Flounder from The Little

were all swimming as fast as they could to get to Dory s house for the gathering. As

and on three Dory yelled, Open! And Happy Anniversary! as she yelled that a huge
poster and confetti shot out of the tube. Everyone came together for a huge group
Waterfall Model Is Based On Sequential Process
Waterfall model is based on sequential process that is used in software development
process. It takes place in steps. It is called as waterfall because it moves step by step
in downward direction. As seen in manufacturing and construction site, each process
is well structured and carried out step by step, in software development Waterfall
modelcarries out all phases in sequential manner. All the phases like Conception,
Initiation, Analysis, Design, Construction, Testing, Implementation and Maintenance
are carried out in a sequential manner, step wise. It is stated that the first formal
description of Waterfall model was made in 1970 in the article written by Winston
W. Royce. Though the first use of waterfall model was made in 1976 in the article
written by Bell and Thayer.
2.0 Spiral Model
2.1 Introduction Overview [2]
Spiral model is another alternative process that is used in software development
cycle. It is more focused on risk analysis. It is based on unique risk pattern that is
adopted by the software. It can adopt any of the software development process such as
incremental, evolutionary prototype and waterfall model. This method was
introduced in 1986 in paper written by Barry Boehm. This model has four phases
Planning, Risk Analysis, Engineering and Evolution. At each progress the software
project has to be passed through all these four phases. The baseline spiral is reference
for each other subsequent spirals. The baseline spiral starts with the planning
My Writing History
We all have dreams. My mother always dreamed of being a teacher; however, life
took her for another turn and her dreams were not fulfilled. She became a stay at
home mom instead. She used me to achieve her dreams of being a teacher; therefore,
I became her student. From the age of three, she began to teach me the basics of
reading and writing. By the time I started kindergarten, I was very advanced in
reading for my age. My first day of school, I was appalled when my classmates
could not read simple words. Did their mothers not teach them to read like mine had?
This was the start to my reading and writing journey. My writing history has had a
significant influence on my current writing strengths, weaknesses, and style. As a

TRANSFORMATION AND SURVIVAL OF E. COLI
Introduction:
With changes in technology over the past decades, came new knowledge of the
biology realm. With this new knowledge and understanding of biology came about
Biotechnology. Biotechnology is the process of harnessing the ability of living

see the results of Biotechnology in all areas of our life including the food we eat and
the medicine we take.
Today, we are using Biotechnology to by pass nature s random fashion of generating

known as transformation (transfer of genetic information between organism s takes
places via the movement of an extracellular piece of DNA). Bacteria are great for
experiments for genetic manipulation simply because of how long they take to
produce, their simplicity, and how easily recognizable they are. The bacteria that we
will be using for this experiment is Escherichia Coli, also known as E. coli. Most of
this bacteria genetic information is carried on small pieces of extrachromosomal
DNA. The small DNA molecules are known as plasmids. Plasmids carry genes that
allow bacteria to neutralize antibiotics that would typically kill them only one

Shakespeare s Use Of Textual Integrity In Hamlet
Through the incertitude that plagues virtually every major character in Hamlet
(1603), Shakespeare dramatizes humanity s philosophical quandaries of morality and
action in an imbalanced, bleak society. Drawing upon the contextual zeitgeist of the
Renaissance, Shakespeare examines humanity s ontological quest to ascertain truth in
foregrounding thematic undercurrents of the conflation between appearance and
reality. Shakespeare substantiates the misguided struggles and existential
disillusionment of the human condition, by drawing upon the incompatible dualities
of the value systems of Medieval Europe and of Renaissance philosophy. Shakespeare
delves deep into elements of the human experience and thus Hamletretains textual

Corruption is central to the textual integrity of Hamlet, as it mirrors the political
tension that took place during the Elizabethan period and still resonates with today
s social fabric. Foreshadowing disease imagery demonstrates this most clearly;
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark is both interpreted as the threat of
war, but also Claudius corruption, validated in personification in the serpent that
did sting that affects the health and thus the stability of the kingdom. Moreover,
the vivid imagery Blister on the fair forehead of an innocent love, further
exemplifies Hamlet s disenchantment with Gertrude s o er hasty marriage to
Claudius. The unweeded garden that grow to seed, things rank and gross in
nature, as a biblical allusion, provides a metaphorical image of corruption
spreading within the social structure and sets up Hamlet s assumed role as the
gardener to rid the garden of weeds to avenge Old Hamlet. Although it is Claudius
who epitomises corruption, from the Elizabethan belief of revenge being a moral
right, Hamlet is also corrupt. This is highlighted in the way that he is trapped by
the avenger s dilemma , metaphorically in Denmark s prison, not taking revenge
will reduce him and will make him unfit to rule by his own standards, yet acting
incurs eternal damnation. Thus, Hamlet becomes a face of corruption and deceit
himself, and he too must die in order to restore stability and balance to the state of
Denmark. Thus, Hamlet s inability to reconcile with his Renaissance values in a
place pervaded with corruption, and amidst a Medieval time period, Shakespeare
clarifies how corruptive powers lead to a bleak and unbalanced
Analysis Of Steve Smulka Paints Glass
Steve Smulka paints glass but it might be more accurate to say that Smulka paints
light. Smulka uses mason jars, vintage seltzer bottles, wine decanters, vases and water
pitchers to capture the way light bends, refracts, illuminates, and distorts its
surroundings. In some of the paintings, backgrounds of looming clouds and ridged
tree bark are as in focus as the glass containers in the foreground, merging the two in a
poetic, scrupulously accurate, yet slightly unreal manner. In other paintings, bottles in
columns two, three, or four deep create multiple layers of transparency that make for
almost abstract studies of light and color. In Steve Smulka s closely observed,
meditative paintings, these densely luminous layers give weight to the
Social Class Vs. Upper Class
Based on which social class an individual falls into, the parenting style that they
display or experience may vary. Are these differences in social classes affecting the
way children in these households are brought up? If so, are these parenting styles

income or wealth that an individual possesses will define their social class. This paper

Due to the values that these parents live their lives by the same values are the ones
they are passing on to their children. When these children grow up they are likely to
be expected to work in places much like the ones their parents are working in and
hopefully with the values instilled in them they will be able to hold onto their jobs.
Parents in the lower and working social class tend to believe that they can never be
too involved in their children s education. (Pew) This provides an interesting
contrast because based off of another survey parents in this class are the least likely
to read out loud to their children. This is likely a matter of time management.
Parents in this class are often working 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet. These
children spend a majority of their childhood in the care of extended family, seeing
as most of these families live in poor neighborhoods and childcare is not readily
available or affordable. But these parents still feel that their kids should be doing
well in school, education is an important part of being able to get better jobs, and if
the parents want their children to be able to socially move up in the society than
they will be more likely to want to be involved in their children s education. Based
on a survey conducted it was also found that parents of this social class

build the economic foundations of the new nation. The Creation of the cotton gin in
1793 solidified the central importance of slaveryto the South s economy. By the mid

Prosecution Intimidation And Witness Intimidation
There are many reasons victims do no want to testify in court. Legal cynicism and
witness intimidation are a couple of the top reasons. One reason I feel is overlooked
is witness intimidation. Witness Intimidation is when threats are made by defendants
to discourage victims or witnesses of a crime from reporting or testifying. (Connick
and Davis 439) If a victimfeels threatened, they often become hesitant to testify
sometimes even to report the crime. With the right incentives, victims and witnesses
would be more likely to participate in the process of testifying against a defendant.

There are services provided to protect the victims or witnesses. When waiting in the
courtroom, they are entitled to a special waiting room, away and out of sight from the
defendant and the defendant s friends and family. By separating the defendant from
the victims and witnesses, it lessens the change of intimidation within the courtroom.
Even victims and witnesses that are incarcerated have the option and availability to
be separated from others to keep them safe. By separating from certain groups, gangs
are not able to finish hits on a victim or witness.
Another way to keep a victim or witness in testifying is ensuring that everyone
coming in and out of the courthouse will be on video surveillance. By taping
everyone coming into the courthouse, hopefully it would discourage any intimidation
within the courthouse. Also by having surveillance, it would give the victims and
witnesses a sense of security, knowing that anybody coming near them in the
courthouse is on camera.
One program to motivate victims to participate in testifying helps with compensating
the victims or witnesses. During the process of the trial and even before when

The Darkness of Relationships
Relationships are the foundation of everything in this world, especially in literature.
If there is no relationship present, there is essentially no story; in the short story A
Temporary Matter by Jhumpa Lahiri the entire story focuses on the married
immigrants, Shoba and Shukumar, and their relationship. Unfortunately, their
relationship is an example of something that is commonly seen in many North
American relationships. Lahiri clearly depicts them as an unhappy couple that
possesses a deeply flawed marriage, and are only able to connect through negativity,
irritation, and grief. This text clearly portrays an intensely damaged relationship and
shows the ways in which a relationship can quickly fall apart ... Show more content

On page 13 it states, Okay, he said, remembering. The first time we went out to
dinner, to the Portuguese place, I forgot to tip the waiter. I went back the next
morning, found out his name, left money with the manager. (Lahiri 13) This scene is
the first night of their power being out, and Shukumar s first confession to Shoba. It is
about the memory of the first time they went out for dinner together, which is a
happy memory for both of them. It is also a humorous confession because it is
about something so simple and innocent. He finishes this confession in an adoring
way, Shoba asks, Why did you forget to tip the waiter? (Lahiri 14) and he replies
with, By the end of the meal I had a funny feeling I might marry you. (Lahiri 14)
This shows how the use of memory brings a couple closer together and allows them
to feel a similar feeling that they might have felt when they were first meeting. This
is often referred to as the honeymoon phase of their relationship, meaning they are
happy and the relationship is still within its innocent state. They have little to no
problems between the two of them because they have known each other for such a
short time. They are just beginning to fall in love, and these types of joyful memories
are the kind that people love to hold onto because of all the wonderful feelings they
get from them. As the nights go on, the confessions begin to change from these
blissful, innocent
Hip Hop And Rap Music
Hip Hop/rap music receives the harshest criticism in the music industry. This is
because listeners of hip hop music don t fully understand the message that the
artist is trying to portray. Behind all the vulgar verses is actually a message that the
artist wants to listener to know about. Most people don t listen to hip hop music
because of how they see the artist illustrating their self. Many artists create music
based off of his or her background and life growing up. Hip hop music has a
negative reputation that hides any positive meaning that the genre can display.
Although the reputation of hip hop music is not a good one, there are reason why
these artists create the type of music he or she creates. Hip Hop has influenced and
uplifted America, speaking up for generations and providing a voice to a group of
people trying to deliver a message. If more people knew about the artist s motive of
creating hip hop music, the genre would have a more respect to the media and
critics. The motives and ideas of hip hop strongly pushes for a social change in the
world. Many artists such as Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole talk about social issues
that goes on in the country and city they reside in. In Kendrick Lamar s recent
album To Pimp a Butterfly, Lamar strongly voices the inner struggles he faced in
his city caused by the oppressors, usually police. (#Respect) Kendrick Lamar shows
that is music is striving for a social change. This should be more respected more as
he stands for a
World War One Heritage And Remembrance
The war has always acted as a vicious muse for songwriters.
Since Antiquity, it has inspired a vast song repertoire, which has been able to
describe tragic events in a vivid and striking way.
Governments and rulers used and are still using music with propagandistic and mass
control aims; patriotic composers consecrate their works to glorify belligerent ideals
and galvanise the troops, while pacifist or subversive ones tries to condemn warfare.
Music is also extensively used after wars with commemorative goals or therapeutic
objectives.
However, it is undoubtedly among common soldiers that music reveals its most
authentic and frank aspects.
Soldiers are indeed the only ones who live wars first hand, experiencing the tragedies
of life on the frontline and bluntly describing them.
The First World War is one of the historic events that have impressed the most the
creative souls, because of its inhumanity and momentous nature.
In fact, it is still source for a cultural and social debate in many countries, primarily
Italy.
World War One heritage and remembrance is indeed a controversial topic for the
Italian civil society: during the last decades, its memory has been widely exploited
by political opportunists and a sincere and a truthful representation of the events is
far to be portrayed.
In point of fact, one of the few reliable sources is embodied by soldiers songs.
This project aims indeed to recall the most significant examples of Italian soldiers and
trenches songs to

Multiple Intelligence Essay. ᐅ Essays On Multiple Intelligence Free Argumentative, Persuasive ...

  • 1. Multiple Intelligence Essay Crafting an essay on the subject of "Multiple Intelligence" poses a unique set of challenges, as it requires a comprehensive understanding of the concept and its various dimensions. The difficulty arises from the need to delve into Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, which suggests that intelligence is not a singular entity but a collection of distinct abilities. This necessitates a thorough exploration of the different types of intelligences identified by Gardner, such as linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic intelligences. Moreover, the challenge lies in presenting a cohesive and well-structured essay that seamlessly integrates these diverse intelligences while maintaining a clear and engaging narrative. Balancing the theoretical aspects with practical examples and real-world applications adds another layer of complexity. Addressing the implications of multiple intelligences in education, personal development, and various professional fields further complicates the task. In order to write a compelling essay on this topic, one must not only possess a solid grasp of Gardner's theory but also be able to critically analyze its implications and significance. This involves synthesizing information from various sources, including scholarly articles, books, and empirical studies. Additionally, the writer needs to articulate their thoughts in a coherent and persuasive manner, ensuring that the essay captures the reader's attention and communicates complex ideas effectively. • 2. The Lemon Orchard Sympathy In The Lemon Orchard the writer creates tension and sympathy by contrasting the two characters of the slave and the gang members creating an unequal relationship. The gang members constantly threaten the man whilst asking him questions to intimidate him such as, do you hear, hotnot? Answer me or I will shoot a hole through your spine. The tone in which he asks him shows how the gang are in full control of the situation. The noun answer reinforces how demanding and powerful the gang is and by forcing the answer they are intimidating the man and gaining a sense of power. Despite this we feel a lot of sympathy for the man because in the relationship the innocent man is belittled and bullied by the gang members. The idea of the man being... The imperative demanded displays the hostility of the gang members and it also connotes aggression and violence. The hostile language used is reinforced when they refer to the coloured man as hotnot . This clearly portrays how cruel they are to the man being victimised and this also shows how they have taken away the man s identity and given him a racist, degrading name in place of that. The reader can really feel sympathy for the man because he has been unfairly abused because of how dignified he is throughout all of it, for example; he was cold and tried to prevent himself from shivering in case it should be mistaken for cowardice. The verb tried reinforces his dignity but also his fear of death and for that we feel sympathy for him. The fact they use these names really shows how weak and undignified they really are which completely contrasts all of the characteristics of the coloured

The use of propaganda for bad reasons has caused many people to view it as a deceitful word, one that stretches the truth and blows things out of proportion to gain support even though that is not always the case. For example, propaganda likes to use testimonials, glittering generalities, card stacking, and other techniques to present information in the best and most biased light (Ogelsbee, n.d.). The article Defining Propaganda (n.d.) explains that propaganda can spread its message through a variety of mediums such as pictures, drawings, exhibits, speeches, parades, songs, and so forth. In respect of the theory of cognition, where Duns Scotus had placed between the perceiving subject and the object perceived a sensible species and an intelligible species, Ockham considers these as superfluous machinery. Objects call forth sense impressions in us, which are transmuted by the active intellect into mental images. These images are thus a product of the intellect, not species which flow from the object into the intellectus possibilis. The reality of these images is thus, in the modern use of the terms, not objective but subjective. This is true not merely of the terms of first intention formed directly from sense impression, but also of the terms of second intention, i.e., the abstract terms which take note of common attributes, or universals. These latter correspond to a tendency of the human mind, which can not perceive individuals without at the same time attempting to form a general concept. A white object simultaneously suggests abstract whiteness; an extended, related, enduring object forces the conception of extension, relation, duration. The result of this line of reasoning is the absolute subjectivity of all concepts and universals and the limitation of knowledge to the mind and its concepts although these are real entities because of their subjective existence in the mind, reproducing the actual according to the constitution of the mind. Thus Ockham is really the pioneer of modern epistemology. The

If there are two borrowers, both individuals must pass away before their lender can require repayment. Since the borrowers would not be in a position to repay the loan themselves, the responsibility would be handed down to their heirs. In this case, the borrowers heirs would have three main choices: sign the deed over to the bank, sell the home, or refinance the loan. If the balance of the loan exceeds the home value, heirs could avoid the responsibility of selling the house by signing the residence over to the lender. If the home is worth more than the loan balance, heirs will benefit more from selling the house themselves. As long as the individuals make a reasonable effort to sell the home, the lender should give them 12 months to find a buyer. The activity of outsourcingenables the organization to render higher level of emphasis on core activities of business. In the past thirty years, various researchers have undertaken researches to support outsourcing as a mechanism for bringing down organizational costsin a substantial manner. But the comprehensive impact of outsourcing remains to be seen. This research work will assess the relevance and significance of outsourcing in reference to the process of new product development. It is a given fact that the process of new product development is a highly knowledge driven activity and thereby depends on array of other activities. It is highly dependent on organization s capabilities to manage uncertainties throughout the course of new product development. Hence, various concerns in reference to acquisition of knowledge and application need to be managed in the right manner. In the words of Ford et al (1993), the main reason for costreduction is that organizations engage in the process of outsourcing. Hence outsourcing of new product development process can be regarded as a tool to decrease the high costs that are
  • 22. Why Is It Important To Have Too Much Homework For Students You plan on going over to your friends house after school then bam, all of your teachers assign you 10 pages of homework. You have swim practice right after school then you have to go straight to soccer afterwards and you don t get home until 8:00. Bam! Your teachers assign you 3 hours of homework that night. Teachers assign their students too much homework on a daily basis giving them barley any free time to socialize with friends or family or have time to relax after sports. Too much homework is a problem because most students are busy with after school activities and don t get home until later giving them little time to do the mountains of homework assigned by their teachers everyday. Teachers have a big part of causing us students to have too much homework. First of all, they waste too much time in class by talking or yelling at students. So when the teachers talk too much we loose class time to get a head start on our homework for that night. Also, having all four core classes all school year round at the same time gives us piles of homework. Teachers should try and keep a better schedule for the year to try and minimize the amount of homework we get. One last cause is sports. Students enjoy being in sports and don t get home until later leaving them with more homework to do at night.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Or it makes you smarter! I disagree. Positive, Positive And Positive Psychology Hope is an important aspect of positive psychology that assists individuals to live positively by accepting tough life experiences through the expectation of a better outcome. Hope is considered to be a positive motivational state, which encourages individuals to develop methods that motivate themselves to achieve their coveted goals (Snyder, 2000). Individuals with high hope perceive barriers in goal attainment as challenges that they can overcome by utilising their pathway thoughts to form alternative routes to achieve their goals (Snyder, 1994 as cited in Snyder, 2000). Findings show that achieving goals is identified with positive emotions (Snyder et al, 1996). Research demonstrates the benefits of keeping high hope includes, positive emotions (Snyder, 2009), a negative correlation with sadness and emotional problems (Ciarrochi et al., 2007), low levels of depression and anxiety (Snyder et al, 1997) and students with high hope have reported feeling more confident and motivated compared to students with low hope (Snyder et al, 2002). Moreover, Lazarus (1991), has identified hope to be a coping mechanism for individuals that are dealing with stressful, painful or traumatic life experiences. Hopelessness is the inclination that circumstances will not improve or the belief that there is no alternative solution for the problem. Hopelessness is characterized by a sense of apathy, passivity, and futility, and consequently affecting how an individual may

Things in terms of Internet of Things (IoT) encompass all those devices which have the ability to sense and/or control and transfer data between other devices using existing network technologies. Some of the examples are routers, switches, security cameras, control systems used in gas stations etc. This paper begins with an introduction on IoT. As IoT includes thousands of devices, we have restricted our scope to security cameras. Our paper discusses in detail the vulnerabilities existing in today s security cameras, different ways in which cyber criminals can take advantage of these weaknesses and the measures that can be taken to strengthen security in cameras. Introduction The world is getting smarter and better and so are the devices. With the improved technology, we can check our mails on our watch; control our home temperature through our smartphone and much more. One example would be that they both require plenty of athletic prowess, as well as countless hours of training and practice to master. The high amount of contact in both sports enables a player to become both physically and mentally tough . Lacrosse has grown to its highest level of popularity it has ever reached over the last ten years. Ice hockey has seen a steady climb in its popularity over the past 25 years making it one of the most popular sports in not only Long Island, but all across the U.S. However, there are many differences as well, and we should not overlook the fact that there are plenty of distinctions between the two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The biggest difference between ice hockey and lacrosse is the playing field. In hockey its ice, in lacrosse its grass. In addition to this would be the field dimensions. A lacrosse field is rectangular, while a hockey rink is oval. Another difference would be the number of players present on the field at one time. In lacrosse, 10 players are allowed at one time to work together at scoring a goal. In hockey, only 6 players are allowed to grace the field during each shift. Which brings the topic to another distinction, the length of shifts. In hockey the shifts are only about two to three minutes long, allowing fresh players to take the ice more often than in lacrosse, where the shifts are about every 10 to 12 minutes. Another major difference is that usually hockey is played during the winter months, lacrosse in the springtime. I use the word usually because there are ice rinks that will operate and host leagues during the summer, but its is rare due to the expense of cooling the ice during the hot summer days. Lacrosse players use cleats, which are sneakers equipped with little studs on the bottom to increase traction. Hockey players use skates to glide along the ice. A last differentiation would be the origin of both sports. Hockey was invented by Canadians, and lacrosse was created by American Indians, who oddly enough, used to use squirrel skulls because an official lacrosse ball had not been invented yet. Ice hockey and lacrosse are

Inequity means a lack of fairness or justice, or unfair act. The Great Gatsby by F. George and Myrtle Wilson are a poor couple in relation to the very wealthy Daisy and Tom. Myrtle is Tom s mistress, and George fixes Tom s cars for him. George and Myrtle are the victims of inequity in The Great Gatsbybecause they represent the divide between the very rich and the very poor in New York, and their places in society and quality of life. Myrtle has been affected by both socioeconomic and gender inequity. She is unhappy being trapped in the lower middle class in the valley of ashes, but she can not work hard to raise her status because she is a woman. When Myrtle first married George Wilson, she thought she was marrying a rich man, but she later realizes that this was a trick and Wilson is very poor: I knew right away I made a mistake. He borrowed somebody s best suit to get married in, and never even told me about it, and the man came after it one day when he was out. She looked around to see who was listening.
