2. Introduction
SMAC is about the integrated play of Social, Mobile,
Analytic and Cloud technologies in supporting new
business model to deliver products and services to
customers anytime and anywhere within a optimized cost
structure.
Social technologies enabled the implementation of virtual
platforms to connect, discuss and exchange views. These
make it easy to users to reach out all industry participants
as well as diverse consumer segments.

3. Mobile technologies have enabled people to engage, view
and act on any information at their convenience.
Analytics is increasingly becoming a strategic focus area
business. The immersive data processing power of Big Data
analytics allows companies to deconstruct new forms of data
in cloud.
Cloud technology lends businesses a new found agility,
breaking down the barriers of geography and cutting the
costs associated with physical server maintenance.
The cloud powers the transformative combination of social,
mobile and analytics technologies.

4. Trends in SMAC
Banking and financial service sectors- The key factors that
position Banking & Financial institution well to operate
include the following :
(1) Access to a large multi-segment, multi-sector , multi-
regional customer database
(2) Sectorial knowledge of different industries, their
operations and financial maturity
(3) Existing and robust financial platforms for transactions.
Retail Sector- Cash and carry businesses are organized
buyers and suppliers for a large number of stakeholder
segments across industries. They serve self-employed
individuals upcoming online stores and corporate hoses
etc.

5. In the next five years the SMAC technologies play major role in all
the Small and Medium scale Enterprises. For example we consider
that a company should provide a Open ear Service to the
customers then we can do so by using SMAC technologies.

6. Interested Areas
In SMAC technologies, I am interested in Cloud computing
technology because the cloud has power to change the way
products are made. We can also have open source tools like
OpenNebula etc to improve the effective exchange of
information. This tool is responsible for the secure, efficient and
scalable management of the cloud resources.
