Brain Computer Interface BCI aims at providing an alternate means of communication and control to people with severe cognitive or sensory motor disabilities. Brain Computer Interface in electroencephalogram EEG is of great important but it is challenging to manage the non stationary EEG. EEG signals are more vulnerable to contamination due to noise and artifacts. In our proposed work, we used Cuckoo Search Masking Empirical Mode decomposition to ignore such vulnerable things. Initially, the features of EEG signals are taken such as Energy, AR Coefficients, Morphological features and Fuzzy Approximate Entropy. Then, for Feature extraction method, Masking Empirical Mode Decomposition MEMD is applied to deal with motor imagery MI recognition tasks. The EEG signal is decomposed by MEMD and hybrid features are then extracted from the first two intrinsic mode functions IMFs . After the extracted features, Cuckoo Search algorithm is used to select the significant features. Different weights for the relevance and redundancy in the fitness function of the proposed algorithm are used to further improve their performance in terms of the number of features and the classification accuracy and finally they are fed into Linear Discriminant Analysis for classification. This analysis produces models whose accuracy is as good as more complex method. The results show that our proposed method can achieve the highest accuracy, maximal MI, recall as well as precision for Motor Imagery Recognition tasks. Our proposed method is comparable or superior than existing method. Several MWTs can be used, but the best MWT is the one that conserves the quasi-totality of information of the original signal on wavelet coefficients and gather more EEG rhythms in terms of frequency. In this study, Daubechies, Symlets and Coiflets orthogonal families were used as bsis mother wavelet functions. The percentage rootmeans square difference (PRD), the signal to noise ratio (SNR) and the simulated frequencies as the selection metrics. Simulation results indicate Daubechies wavelet at level 4 (Db4) as the most suitable MWT for EEG frequency bands decomposition.Furthermore, due to the redundancy of the extracted features, linear discriminant analysis (LDA) is applied for feature selection. Scatter plot showed that the selected feature vector represents the amount of changes in frequency distribution and carries most of the discriminative and representative information about their classes. Then, this study can provide a reference for the selection of a suitable MWT and discriminativefeatures.

recording of temporary EEG changes during different types of motor imagery such as imagination of
different hand movements. The spatial pattern of activated cortical areas during motor imagery is similar
to that of real time executed movement. Time domain features and frequency domain features are extracted
with emphasis on recognizing discriminative features representing EEG trials recorded during imagination
of different hand movements. Then, classification into different hand movements is carried out.

Usually, BCI uses information from electroencephalogram (EEG) signals based on various variables reviewed. This study proposed BCI to move external devices such as a drone simulator based on EEG signal information. From the EEG signal was extracted to get motor imagery (MI) and focus variable using wavelet. Then, they were classified by recurrent neural networks (RNN). In overcoming the problem of vanishing memory from RNN, was used long short-term memory (LSTM). The results showed that BCI used wavelet, and RNN can drive external devices of non-training data with an accuracy of 79.6%. The experiment gave AdaDelta model is better than the Adam model in terms of accuracy and value losses. Whereas in computational learning time, Adam's model is faster than AdaDelta's model.

Transform Domain Based Iris Recognition using EMD and FFTIOSRJVSP
Iris is one of the physiological trait which is used to identify the individuals. In this paper Transform Domain Based Iris Recognition using EMD and FFT is proposed. Circular Hough Transform is used in the Preprocessing stage to extract circular part of eye. The circular iris part is converted into rectangular rubber sheet model in Region of Interest (ROI).Empirical Mode Functions (EMF)’s are obtained by applying Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) on the Iris. FFT is also applied on ROI to extract the features. These features are added arithmetically to obtain final features. The features of the database are compared with test iris using Euclidian Distance(ED) to compute performance parameters. It is observed that the values of CRR and EER are better in the case of propsed algorithm compared to existing algorithms.

have been proposed for having satisfactory Fingerprint
Identification. The widely used minutiae-based representation
did not utilize a significant component of the rich
discriminatory information available in the fingerprints. Local
ridge structures could not be completely characterized by
minutiae. The proposed filter-based algorithm uses a bank of
Gabor filters to capture both local and global details in a
fingerprint as a compact fixed length Finger Code. The
Fingerprint Identification is based on the Euclidean distance
between the two corresponding Finger Codes and hence is
extremely fast and accurate than the minutiae based one.
Accuracy of the system is 98.22%.
Mobile robot controller using novel hybrid system IJECEIAES
Hybrid neuro-fuzzy controller is one of the techniques that is used as a tool to control a mobile robot in unstructured environment. In this paper a novel neuro-fuzzy technique is proposed in order to tackle the problem of mobile robot autonomous navigation in unstructured environment. Obstacle avoidance is an important task in the field of robotics, since the goal of autonomous robot is to reach the destination without collision. The objective is to make the robot move along a collision free trajectory until it reaches its target. The proposed approach uses the artificial neural network instead of the fuzzified engine then the output from it is processed using adaptive inference engine and defuzzification engine. In this approach, the real processing time is reduced that is increase the mobile robot response. The proposed neuro-fuzzy controller is evaluated subjectively and objectively with other approaches and also the processing time is taken in consideration.
Detection of Type-B Artifacts in VEPs using Median Deviation AlgorithmIOSRJECE
The primary goal of this research work is to introduce temporal artifact detection strategy to detect non responsive channels and trials in visual evoked potentials(VEPs) by tracing out the signals with very low energy and to remove artifacts in multichannel visual evoked potentials. The non responsive channels and trials are identified by calculating the energy of the average evoked potential of each channel, and the energy of the average evoked potential of each trial. Then channel wise and trial wise median test is conducted to detect and remove non-responsive channels and trials. An artifact is defined as any signal that may lead to inaccurate classifier parameter estimation. Temporal domain artifact detection tests include: a clipping (CL) test detect amplitude clipped EPs in each channel, a standard deviation (STD) test that can detect signals with little or abnormal variations in each channel, a kurtosis (KU) test to detect unusual signals that are not identified by STD and CL tests and median deviation test to detect signals containing large number of samples with very small deviation from their normal values. An attempt has been made to apply these techniques to 14-channel visual evoked potentials (VEPs) obtained from different subjects.

Basically, the idea behind this system is improvement in cybernetics, the biometric person identification technique based on the pattern of the human iris is well suited to be applied to access control. The human eye is sensitive to visible light. Security systems having realized the value of biometrics for two basic purposes: to verify or identify users. In this busy world, identification should be fast and efficient. In this paper I focus on an efficient methodology for identification and verification for iris detection using Haar transform and Minimum hamming distance. I use canny operator for the edge detection. This biological phenomenon contracts and dilates the two pupils synchronously when illuminating one of the eyes by visible light .I applied the Haar wavelet compressing the data. By comparing the quantized vectors using the Hamming Distance operator, we determine finally whether two irises are similar. The result shows that system is quite effective.

Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient is an efficient feature representation method for extracting human-audible audio signals. However, its representation of features is large and redundant. Therefore, feature selection is required to select the optimal subset of Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient features. The performance of two types of feature selection techniques; Orthogonal Least Squares and F-ratio for selecting Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient features of infant cry with asphyxia was examined. OLS selects the feature subset based on their contribution to the reduction of error, while F-Ratio selects them according to their discriminative abilities. The feature selection techniques were combined with Multilayer Perceptron to distinguish between asphyxiated infant cry and normal cry signals. The performance of the feature selection methods was examined by analysing the Multilayer Perceptron classification accuracy resulted from the combination of the feature selection techniques and Multilayer Perceptron. The results indicate that Orthogonal Least Squares is the most suitable feature selection method in classifying infant cry with asphyxia since it produces the highest classification accuracy.

Transfer learning for epilepsy detection using spectrogram imagesIAESIJAI
Epilepsy stands out as one of the common neurological diseases. The neural activity of the brain is observed using electroencephalography (EEG). Manual inspection of EEG brain signals is a slow and arduous process, which puts heavy load on neurologists and affects their performance. The aim of this study is to find the best result of classification using the transfer learning model that automatically identify the epileptic and the normal activity, to classify EEG signals by using images of spectrogram which represents the percentage of energy for each coefficient of the continuous wavelet. Dataset includes the EEG signals recorded at monitoring unit of epilepsy used in this study to presents an application of transfer learning by comparing three models Alexnet, visual geometry group (VGG19) and residual neural network ResNet using different combinations with seven different classifiers. This study tested the models and reached a different value of accuracy and other metrics used to judge their performances, and as a result the best combination has been achieved with ResNet combined with support vector machine (SVM) classifier that classified EEG signals with a high success rate using multiple performance metrics such as 97.22% accuracy and 2.78% the value of the error rate.

Abstract—This paper proposes the classification of EEG signal for epilepsy diagnosis. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder which occurs due to synchronous neuronal activity in brain. Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD), Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) are the techniquedelivered in the proposed method.Input EEG signal, which is available in online as Bonn Database is decomposed into five Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) using EMD.Higher Order Statistical moments such as Variance, Skewness and Kurtosis are drawn out as features from the decomposed signals. Extreme Learning Machine is used as a classifier to classify the EEG signals with the taken features, under various categories that include healthy and ictal, interictal and ictal, Non seizure and seizure, healthy, interictal and ictal. The proposed method gives 100%accuracy, 100%sensitivity in discriminating interictal and ictal, non seizure and seizure, healthy and ictal, healthy, interictal and ictal, 100% specificity in classifying healthy and ictal, interictal and ictal and 100% and 99%accuracy in case of discriminating interictal and ictal, non seizure and seizure.
The paper presents a k-means based semi-supervised clustering approach for
recognizing and classifying P300 signals for BCI Speller System. P300 signals are proved to
be the most suitable Event Related Potential (ERP) signal, used to develop the BCI systems.
Due to non-stationary nature of ERP signals, the wavelet transform is the best analysis tool
for extracting informative features from P300 signals. The focus of the research is on semi-
supervised clustering as supervised clustering approach need large amount of labeled data
for training, which is a tedious task. Hence works for small-labeled datasets to train

In this article, a contemporary tack of mental tasks on cognitive parts of humans is appraised using two different approaches such as wavelet transforms at a discrete time (DWT) and support vector machine (SVM). The put forth tack is instilled with the electroencephalogram (EEG) database acquired in real-time from CARE Hospital, Nagpur. Additional data is also acquired from a brain-computer interface (BCI). In the working model, signals from the database are wed out into different frequency sub-bands using DWT. Initially, updated statistical features are obtained from different frequency sub-bands. This type of representation defines the wavelet co-efficient which is introduced for reducing the measurement of data. Then, the projected method is realized using SVM for segregating both port and veracious hand movement. After segregation of EEG signals, results are achieved with an accuracy of 92% for BCI competition paradigm III and 97.89% for B-alert machine.

Background and Objective Telehealth has become a well known tool for the delivery of health care in Saudi Arabia, and the perspective and knowledge of healthcare providers are influential in the implementation, adoption and advancement of the method. This systematic review was conducted to examine the current literature base regarding telehealth and the related healthcare professional perspective and knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods This systematic review was conducted by searching 7 databases including, MEDLINE, CINHAL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and ProQuest Central. Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. The remainder of this paper is organized as follows: Section
II describes the experimental methodology for this study.
Section III presents the experimental results.Finally,section
IV concludes the paper.
II. SUBJECTS AND METHODS
A. Subjects
This study recruited 12 healthysubjects.Ethicsapproval and
informed consent were obtained. Two subjects chose to
perform motor imagery and passive movement of the left
hand while the remaining 10 subjects chose to perform on
the right hand.
B. EEG data collection
The recording was made using Brain Amp MR plus
amplifiers and an Ag/AgCl electrode cap. Signals from 59
EEG positions were measured that were most densely
distributed over sensorimotorareas.Signalswereband-pass
filtered between 0.05 and 200 Hz and then digitized at 1000
Hz with 16 bit (0.1 µV) accuracy. We provide also a version
of the data that is down sampled at 100 Hz (first low-pass
filtering the original data (Chebyshev Type II filter of order
10 with stop band ripple 50dB down and stop band edge
frequency 49Hz) and then calculating the mean of blocks of
10 samples). Here, the motor imagery tasks were cued by
soft acoustic stimuli (words left, right, and foot) for periods
of varying length between 1.5 and 8 seconds. The end of the
motor imagery period was indicated by the word stop.
Intermitting periods had also a varying duration of 1.5 to 8s.
Note that in the evaluation data, there are not necessarily
equally many trials from each condition.

Energy is a crucial parameter for the identification of left-
right MI EEG. The expression is given by,

C. Least mean square algorithm:
LMS algorithm is relatively simple; it does not require
correlation function calculation. LMS algorithms are a class
of adaptive filter used for adaptive noise cancellation by
varying its step size parameterµfordifferentfilterorder and
number of iteration. It is a stochastic gradient descent
method in that the filter is only adaptedbasedonthe errorat
the current time.

1. Masking Empirical Mode Decomposition:
Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is one such adaptive
signal processing technique for decomposing a signal. The
signal decomposition aims at revealing intrinsic mode
functions (IMFs) having meaningful instantaneous
frequency.
A masking signal of frequency higher than the highest
frequency component present in the original non-stationary
signal is added and subtracted to obtain two new signals.
EMD is performed on these two signals to extract the first
IMFs from these two signals. The average of these two is
computed to yield IMF of the original signal.Themainidea of
this method is to insert a row of sine wave s (t) (masking
signal) into the original signal to prevent the mode mixing
phenomenon which is caused by the low frequency
components mixing into the IMF in the process of the EMD.
2. Cuckoo-Search Algorithm
Cuckoo Search (CS) is heuristic search algorithm which is
inspired by the reproduction strategy of cuckoos. Cuckoo
bird or something like water drops but also provides some
principles which can help in providing solutions to real
world applications .These algorithms work on the basis of
random search in some suitable search region depending on
the problem.
CSA is one of the modern nature inspired meta-heuristic
algorithms. CS algorithm is based on the obligate brood
parasitic behavior of some cuckoo species in combination
with the Levy flight behavior of some birds and fruit flies.
3. Linear Discriminant Analysis
(LDA) is aclassification method based upon the concept of
searching for a linear combination of variables (predictors)
that best separate two best separate twoclasses..LDAworks
when the measurements made on each observation are
continuous quantities. The objective of LDA is to perform
dimensionality reduction while preserving as much of the
class Discriminatory information as possible.
Technique for CSMEMD is proposed in this paper, Motor
Precision Imagery Recognition of EEG signal using Cuckoo
Search Masking Empirical Mode Decomposition has various
stages to get the classified output. Different stages are LMS,

proposed method is compared to LDA+AFAPS, HSF, MEMD,
SVM.
III. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS
Visual studio coding to evaluate performance of MEMD and
CSMEMD by calculated the basic parameters like Accuracy,
Precision, Recall, MaximalMI. The performance Evolution of
the proposed Algorithm shows the analysis of accuracy,
precision, recall and maximal MI for Number of Training
data sets.
Accuracy
The accuracy of a measurement system is how close it gets
to a quantity’s actual (true) value. It increases the
performance of the system.

The performance evolutionoftheproposedalgorithmshows
the analysis of accuracy for number of training
datasets.When the Number of Training data set is seven, the
accuracy is attained for LDA+AFAPS be 90.6%, HSF will be
88.5%,MEMD will be89.7% andourproposedAlgorithm will
achieve a accuracy of 92% which is maximum than other
three methods. As the Number of training Data set is
increased, there is a gradual increase, decrease in accuracy.
But our proposed algorithm (CSMEMD) maintains a slow
increase in accuracy as the number of training set is
increased. This means our proposed method gives a better
accuracy as the number of training data set is increasing.
The performance evolution of the proposed algorithm for
Precision, Recall and Maximal MI shown in Fig3,Fig 4, Fig5.
Accuracy, Precision, Recall and Maximal MI for CSMEMD,
Precision, Recall and Maximal MI for CSMEMD is more when
compared with LDA+AFAPS, HSF, MEMD, SVM. In CSMEMD
the four parameters were increased.

IV. CONCLUSIONS
Finally the objective mentioned has been achieved
successfully. The experiment was conducted by using seven
EEG datasets from BCI competition. To analyze the
performance of LDA+AFAPS, HSF,MEMD,SVMandCSMEMD
the feature vectors namely energy, AR coefficients,
morphological featuresandfuzzyapproximateentropywere
extracted from the motor imagery EEG dataset to measure
the performance metrics like Accuracy, Recall,Precisionand
Maximal MI. From the analysis the accuracy of the CSMEMD
is higher when compared to other classifiers. Similarly the
precision and recall metrics also gives the higher
performance compare to others. To show the great accuracy

and precision of our proposed methodology, we compared
the performance results obtained in this work with results
obtained in other works. Our proposed methodology is an
efficient to recognize the motor imagery tasks.
After the recognition of motor imagery tasks, the obtained
result is given to the specific application,whichisconsidered
to be our future work.
