In this role I assisted both job centre staff and members of the public using the job centre to sign on and look for
work. My role included assisting supervisors with job searches for clients, answering and forwarding client
telephone calls, setting up rooms for meetings and events. I also helped clients with IT including how to use the
Universal Job Match website and basic IT skills. I trained groups of up to six people, not all of whom had fluent
English. I also provided assistance to new customers filling in their benefit claims. I needed to be efficient and
organised, but also polite, patient, helpful and comfortable with a diverse range of people, some of whom had
complex needs.

I performed in this play in a supporting lead role and also as a member of the chorus. Ensemble playing depends
on supportive teamwork with your fellow cast members. Supporting lead requires discipline, confidence and skill
as well as the ability to handle pressure.

Lead actor and contributing writer in well-received play about the riots and a young man caught up in a crossroad
s in his life. We performed the pay in front of famous theatre stalwarts like Andrew Lloyd Webber and Sheridan
Smith among others. Skills required included discipline, time keeping, confidence, creative thinking and teamwor
k as well as the ability to learn fast, lead when required and demonstrate strong acting ability and charisma. The a
bility to handle pressure is vital.

Children’s Society: Volunteer Summer 2012
I joined The Challenge Programme which included team building exercises, fundraising and community building
work. This experience helped me develop my confidence, people skills and teamwork. I volunteered at the
children’s society and catch 22 programme fundraising selling cakes on the street and doing a public show in the
National Theatre in front of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Interests,hobbies and achievements
I have enjoyed acting from a young age and have been part of a drama school where I’ve performed in many
shows. This taught me how to be determined and never give up.
