Project Control Manager / Planning Section Head
Supervises project planning, cost, risk and contract teams in the execution of fast track EPC projects. Identifies,
plans and monitors risk, and prepares reports. Meets with consultants and subcontractors. Monitors project
progress against planned schedules, as Planning Section Head, and performs analysis in the event of delays or
any change to contract scope. Delivers projects by the deadline and within budgetary requirements by coordinating
communication, scheduling, and project delivery.
Key Projects:
Abu Owekil Water Purification Plant (500,000 M3/day)
Budget: 2.25B EGP  Cairo, Egypt  Project Control Manager
 Oversees the baseline schedule/timeline, cost baseline, risk register, procurement, communications, and
HR management for the project.
 Devises construction methodology for civil, pipelines and process, and reviews the WPP layout, Hydraulic
profile and pipelines route, achieving optimum constructability.
 Boosts productivity and resource utilization, maximizes opportunity and reduces negative risks.
 Motivates staff in the successful EPC project delivery of 500,000 M3/day with 30km of pipelines, on time
and within budget.
Gabal Al Asfar Waste Water Treatment Plant Project (Stage II, Phase II)
Budget: €162M  Cairo, Egypt  Project Control Manager
 Achieved zero fatalities during the construction phase of the project, with HSE awarded by the Construction
Authority for Water and Waste Water (CAPW) for safely completing six million hours without any recordable
injuries.
 Successfully applied solutions and led the project team in recovering 10 months of delay in the
engineering phase (24% of project duration).
 Completed over 180,000 m3 concrete works 1,500,000 m3 earthworks and 30.000 LM of pipes, varying
from HDPE 150mm to RC 3000mm.
 Steered a professional project team consisting of planners, cost engineers, risk and contract staff, to
define construction methodology and apply the best applicable sequence, workaround and solutions.

 Reduced formwork by 20% through diligent examination of construction methodology and schedule.
 Executed resource levelling, allocating manpower, formwork, and other resources to drive optimal results.
 Reviewed and analysed contract documents for each construction package, advising the Project Manager
and Technical Office Manager of any planning/scheduling deficiencies.
 Streamlined reporting through designing effective WBS and activity codes.
 Prepared the project’s Contract Performance Chart, S-curve, bar charts, Histograms and overall
construction program, as well as Extension of Time (EOT) documents and forensic delay analysis of the
project.
 Delivered presentations to top management, including project status for periodical review and the
Executive Progress Summary Report.
HASSAN ALLAM CONSTRUCTION, Cairo, Egypt March 2012 – March 2014
Project Area Manager / Section Engineer
Managed work within green and brownfields as Project Area Manager, and devised project work plans. Managed
construction site staff, and scheduled physical works, activities (including subcontractor activities) and revised as
necessary. Executed sequence strategy and forecasting of the resources needed, liaising with the Project Manager
and client. Managed day-to-day site activities as Section Engineer, supervising and monitoring the site labour force,
material and machinery. Coordinated with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors,
as well as with clients and their representatives. Prepared reports as required.

 Optimized efficiency and productivity, through the implementation of work methods and effective

 Reduced costs, time and material wastage, by carefully supervising staff construction works and
determining working priorities.
 Minimized delays in work progress through the timely and well-organized ordering of materials.
 Oversaw and implemented quality control/assurance of the works, and conducted site safety inspections
to ensure adherence to HSE regulations.
L’Oreal’s First Industrial Plant in the Middle East
Budget: 140M EGP  10th of Ramadan, Egypt  Section Engineer
 Acted as the main technical adviser on the construction site, consulting with engineers, subcontractors,
craftsmen and operatives.
 Successfully met agreed deadlines, through the efficient planning of work and organizing of site facilities.
 Directed quality control and all Health and Safety issues on site, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff.

Key Projects: Abu Owekil Water Purification Plant (500,000 M3/day) Budget: 2.25B EGP  Cairo, Egypt  Project Control Manager  Oversees the baseline schedule/timeline, cost baseline, risk register, procurement, communications, and HR management for the project.  Devises construction methodology for civil, pipelines and process, and reviews the WPP layout, Hydraulic profile and pipelines route, achieving optimum constructability.  Boosts productivity and resource utilization, maximizes opportunity and reduces negative risks.  Motivates staff in the successful EPC project delivery of 500,000 M3/day with 30km of pipelines, on time and within budget. Gabal Al Asfar Waste Water Treatment Plant Project (Stage II, Phase II) Budget: €162M  Cairo, Egypt  Project Control Manager  Achieved zero fatalities during the construction phase of the project, with HSE awarded by the Construction Authority for Water and Waste Water (CAPW) for safely completing six million hours without any recordable injuries.  Successfully applied solutions and led the project team in recovering 10 months of delay in the engineering phase (24% of project duration).  Completed over 180,000 m3 concrete works 1,500,000 m3 earthworks and 30.000 LM of pipes, varying from HDPE 150mm to RC 3000mm.  Steered a professional project team consisting of planners, cost engineers, risk and contract staff, to define construction methodology and apply the best applicable sequence, workaround and solutions.
