Meaning of Modal verbs
Modal verbs mean’s we use asking permission, making
request and order to some one is called modal verbs.
Types of modal verbs
There are 9 types of modal verbs.
1. Can 8. Would
2. Could 9. Must
3. May
4. Might
5. Shall
6. Should
7. Will
Can
Can mean’s we use asking permission, request, and
it’s show the ability also.
 It will be use simple present tense and future tense.
 We use v1 verb.
 We use based form verb, we not use will.
 We use all subjects or pronoun.
Can Example
 In simple present tense we use can first ability.
Ability
For Ex :- I can do it.
I can speak English.
I can play the game.
Disability.
For Ex :- I can’t do it
I can’t speak English
I can’ play the game
 In Future tense we use specific bas.
For Ex:- I can write book tomorrow
I can engage the class evening
I can come tomorrow
Giving permission and not giving permission
For Ex:- You can go outside
You can not go outside
You can do this work
You can not do this work
 In can we use request also, and we do not use can we
use May.
For Ex:- May I come in
May I drink water
May I go their
Could
It’s show the past tense about can.
 To express ability.
 To express making request politely.
 To express giving suggestion.
For ability and disability Examples:-
I could speak with my friend daily
I could not speak with my friend daily
I could drink 2 litter water daily
I could not drink 2 litter water daily
 In could we use request politely.
For Ex :- Could you repeat the class?
Could you sit with mw?
Could you speak with my mother?
Could you open the door?
Could you come with me?
 In could we giving suggestion also.
For Ex :- Rani could sing nicely you can tack
singing competition.
I think they could had Chapatti?
If she could wear blue color dress she
is looking nice.
May
 May we use asking permission and strong
possibility.
 We use v1 verb from only
 We use all pronoun
Permission for example :-
We may go their?
May I came in?
May I tack your bag?
She may gat job?
Strong possibility
For Ex :- He may do work
She may go outside
May not:- She may not read book
They may not beat the friends

 Might we use possibility week and strong
 We use v3 form verb
 We use helping verb “Have”
For Ex :- It might be rain will be now.
I might have gone to school
He might have completed his morning activities
She might be in class
We might be in cantina

 Will we use informal way and asking request.
 Will we use our friends and our youngers.
 We use v1 form verb
 We use all pronoun

I will do it

 Would we use past hobbies
 We use all pronoun
 It will be use more request
For Ex :- I would speak in English everyday
I would write story
I would like ice-cream
Shall
 Shall we use formal way in asking request our elder.
 Shall we use only I and We subjects
 It will be use suggestions

For Ex :- Shall I came in?
