BYOD/BYOT Implementation Plan for 6th grade Earth Science
https://publish.gwinnett.k12.ga.us/gcps/home/public/parents/content/learning-resources/byod
1. The platform I have chosen to discuss with my school about which works best for our classrooms would be
google drive. Google drive is something is a platform that is used school wide and all students have a google
account. Students received basic training on how to use google drive and already use it to complete classroom
tasks.
2. Not all students are going to be able to BYOD because not all students have a device. Students who do not
have their devices can be given one of the class sets of laptops to utilize during the activity. Students who do
not have their own devices will also have the option of partnering up with a student who has brought their
own device if working with a partner is appropriate for the activity.
3. Students can be grouped in various ways when using BYOD. The instruction can be differentiated with
BYOD and students will be able to work individually, with partners, and teams. Students may work on a group
project and use their devices to research various information. Students can take an online quiz or assessment
individually with their devices. Students can work in pairs in a review or discovery of learning.
4. ClassroomApplications
