Computers and internet are used to mimic the physical world, but firsthand experiences are increasingly via screens. We now want the physical world to mimic the internet. The physical world should be interactive – like the internet. (Ericsson IoT Conference December 2014)
Internet of Things from a Networked Society perspectiveEricsson
Like the pre-industrial and industrial worlds that preceded it, the Networked Society represents a fundamental paradigm shift for people, business and society. One in which new resources are continuously discovered, new forms of value are unleashed, and the most basic logics of life and business are transformed as a result. With Internet of Things we are now entering a reality where billions of physical objects are being embedded with online intelligence and layer upon layer of digital interactivity. These connections, whether between wearable devices, cars and home automation systems, or among networked urban infrastructure and sensor-equipped industrial machinery, will serve as enablers for much more dynamic “things” enhanced with a wealth of new services that bring innovation with improved product performance and achievement of new levels efficiency. (Ericsson IoT Conference December 2014)
With billions of things connecting in the Internet of Things, the extensive footprint, reliability, security and proven performance of cellular networks is the ideal platform for growth. With Ericsson software enhancements, it just got better.
In the past 30-40 years, the world has experienced a change greater than that of the industrial age. We are now at a critical moment – an inflection point – where the next wave of innovation in the form of mobile, broadband, and cloud will be the catalyst for an entirely new economic model. Welcome to the Networked Society.
5G will give consumers higher smartphones speeds and fiber-like wireless connections to the home, and it will unlock exciting new IoT use case from immersive augmented reality to remote haptic-enabled surgery to connected cars and smarter cities. 5G will impact the entire mobile network and associated ecosystem, from devices to radio access to the mobile core and into the cloud. Ericsson 5G Plug-Ins are designed for the radio access network and leverage the technology innovations enabled by the award-winning Ericsson 5G Radio Test Bed and Ericsson 5G Radio Prototypes already deployed and in operator 5G field trials worldwide.

Ericsson ConsumerLab: Smart citizens PresentationEricsson
A report from Ericsson ConsumerLab shows how the internet facilitates smart choices in city life.
The idea of smart cities is an intriguing concept. However, the future will partly be a story of how the architects defining the way our future cities operate are going to be citizens themselves. As the internet makes us more informed, we are in turn making better informed decisions.
We are becoming smart citizens and through our changing behaviors, efficient practices and smarter social norms are developing in our cities.

Managing the Flexible Workforce of the Future [Amsterdam]SAP Ariba
As business continues to move at light speed, companies are deploying flexible workforces that can be quickly engaged and on - boarded to keep pace. Behind the scenes, they need total visibility in order to optimize all areas of services procurement including complex spend, worker quality, corporate and external compliance and contingent workforce program efficiencies. And they need a new breed of technology to achieve this. Companies today need a Vendor Management System (VMS) that can easily integrate with other internal systems to enable a holistic view of both talent and spend.

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!
