This document summarizes the Minnesota Speed Test Initiative, which aims to create the most accurate broadband mapping in the state. It discusses how current broadband maps often overstate coverage. The initiative partners with local organizations to crowdsource broadband speed test data down to the household level. Over 11,000 speed tests have been collected so far. The goal is to present more accurate maps to legislators to help expand broadband networks across Minnesota. It encourages participation in the speed test and sharing information about the initiative.
