The document discusses how women have been degraded in society and denied equal opportunities and dignity. It argues that for women to be treated with respect, they need to attain certain levels of education, rights awareness, and independence. Specifically, it states that women should have access to education to make rational decisions, know their legal rights regarding issues like property and reproduction, and not be solely reliant on men but able to support themselves. Only by gaining these things can women overcome stereotypes of weakness and gain proper respect and dignity in society.

The book is designed and written to be interesting to you. It provides a basic understanding of the science, theory, and research methods of the profession. Sociology began with a Frenchman named Auguste Comte (1798-1857) who saw that it could be very useful in solving modern social problems that were already emerging in Europe and other parts of the world in the 1820-40's. Other sociologists built upon his work and sociology has become a major academic and scientific discipline in its own right. Comte would be very pleased with sociology as a problem-solving science, one that has a unique perspective, wisdom, and body of scientific knowledge. Governments, corporations, religions, families, educators, and individuals have come to depend upon the same expertise you will discover in this textbook. You'll also find the narrative to be personal, the topics to be interesting, and you will feel very satisfied when you finally understand why society and people do the things they do. You swill learn what sociology is, what sociology studies (and studies in a way better than all other disciplines), and how sociology as a science can help you in your personal life experiences. Finally, this textbook is an excellent case study of the sociological analysis of the United States. How we used the US statistics, trends, and historical facts used herein can be a useful example for you to do a similar analysis of your own country, state, province, county, or even city.

Sustainable Development of Women:The Need of SocietysonaliChannawar
In this modern era of socio-economic development, promoting and developing social entrepreneurship by both men and women will only strengthen economy of any country. Why women empowerment is more focused than men is because it is one way to get the underprivileged as well reasonably privileged women to come to realize their skills, worth and potential in this male dominated society. Although things have changed recently, as most women through education and family support have realized their potential and have accomplished their dreams. Current situation of life changing the pattern for living and society can change the rituals, style, living standard according situation what the people do. Women is the integral part of society as playing role of mother, teacher sister, wife and social worker. Women always ready to work equal with men but sometimes men are not ready to work with her. Give respect and rewards for her sacrifices and taking care of all. Women, who make up half of the world population, have benefited more than men from the progress in economic and social development in the last three decades (UNECE, 2012).
Freedom and Decision Making Role of Tribal Women In Galudih Village, East Sin...ijtsrd
In the twenty first century women enjoyed more freedom and power than ever before. But they have still disadvantage as compared to men in virtually all aspect of life. Women are deprived equal access to education, health care, capital and decision making power in the political, social and business sectors. Women work to two third of the World’s working hours and produce half of the World’s food but are only ten percent of the World’s income and own just less than one percent of the World’s property. This limited advancement of women in the formal sectors shows a great disregard for their social and economic responsibilities within the country. How Unconsciously Held Gender Stereotypes Affect Women at the Work Place
Introduction
In a speech she presented on TED Talk, Adichie (n.p) explained the dangers of only hearing one story about a person, a culture, a gender, a nation, a war and generally any phenomenon that possibly has more than one side to the story. Through her speech Adichie informed her audience just how powerful one story was in imprinting a perception in the mind of its audience that could both be upheld for an individual’s lifetime and transferred or passed down to the individuals generations. Her speech speaks of how culture has worked since time immemorial in defining gender roles, ethics and moral values and even more, cultural beliefs. Reflecting on the idea of gender stereotypes, I agree with Adichie (n.p) that one story can be destructive and its effects can be difficult but not impossible to undo.
Many would deny that not only do gender stereotypes exist in the twenty first century but that they continue to define what roles men and women should perform in the society. For instance, the article by the Singapore Management University (n.p) revealed that even in a post gender-stereotypical age, men continued to be preferred to hold the majority seats of leadership and boardroom positions as compared to women who continued to be preferred to follow instead of to lead. West (n.p) in a similar study disclosed that the reason why gender stereotypes continue to haunt the present day woman is because although society does not actively proclaim and pronounce the roles of men and women in society and at the workplace, individuals continue to carry what they learnt were each gender’s roles as children and embrace those gender roles.
For example, men in the past were considered to be bread winners, professionals and leaders. Women on the other hand were considered to be individuals who were required to spend more time at home and less time at work. Although these stereotypes sound outdated and forgotten, Mariani (202) explains how individuals continue to uphold and unconsciously live by the gender stereotypes among other stereotypes they learnt in their past as they grew up. Therefore, although more women are encouraged to take up more competitive and scientific courses at school, when it comes to hiring for the jobs, most organizations still consider that men are better for such positions and prefer to hire men instead of women despite the fact that all candidates may show equal qualification, possess similar skill sets and demonstrate equivalent experience levels.
Significance of the Study
For this report, the single story that that we focus on that has been passed on from generation to generation, more unconsciously than it has consciously, is that a woman’s place is first at home and then or not all in a boardroom or leadership position. For that reason, society has secretly either demanded more of a woman inter.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Women Need to Reach Some Level of Values In order not to be degraded.
Personal Experience
Women in the society i live in have been heavily degraded in terms of the dignity and
respect they are accorded both by the men as well as the society at large. Women have been for
generations especially in the developing countries been denied the justice to equal access of
opportunities regarding reading writing, voting, making of family decisions and getting their way
in career development. Such denial has been catapulted by cultural, religious and political
barriers which has made women to be viewed by men as the weaker sex incapable of making of
rational and abstract decisions that affect the society most (Head, & Galligan, 74). Such low
levels in women’s educational and informational opportunities as well as biased stereotyping of
women has made them slaves of the male dominated society making thus them less dignified and
respected. For instance in the Arab countries religion of Islam has no or limited room for women
especially in leadership and political positions and this has denied them a chance to participate in
decision making processes as they are not represented. In china men are the only owners of the
top political positions leaving women out. Such traditional and degrading habits has made many
women to be subject to men’s manipulation and control giving them limited opportunities to
contribute to the growth and development of their families and the society at large (Bernard,

167). Therefore there are issue shat women should attain in the modern society so that they are
able to be treated with their served dignity and respect.
Overview of Topic
In the modern era, world women are still subjected to unfair and inhuman treatments at in
all levels of the society in that women are still not given priorities in terms of access to basic
human necessities like education opportunities. This is evident in societies which value the boy
child at the expense of the girl child viewed to be of lesser value and such treatment has seen
women become less educated leading to the continuing indignity against them in the society.
Denial of such opportunities to women prevents them from liberating themselves from the men’s
enslavery hence becoming vulnerable to be used as property and objects by the culprits (Bernard,
61). In addition to that women are not supposed to be loyal and submissive to men folk otherwise
they are branded rebellious and such labels are viewed by the society as socially unfit thus
consequently such expectations by the society have mistreated women making them to be less
dignified especially if they behave contrary to the social norms (Pearsall, 345).
In the current world women are still expected to play the domestic roles of being home
caretakers and mainly expected to take care of the family as the husband still remains the sole
bread winner of the family. Thus failure by the male figures to take care oft heir responsibilities
as in aces of family conflict or even in the case of death of the male women are faced with
constantly hard struggles in becoming the family bread winner and such situation has place
women in inhuman and unjust ways of life like increasing poverty levels and disease making
them less dignified in the society as misfits or of the lowly status.
In the modern world there has been an increased attention towards feminism and other
female activism that had seen women accorded much rights and privileges which made them to
3. Surname 3
be degraded in the society my men. This is mainly attributed to the increased levels of radical
feminism that has depicted men as the cause of most of women’s problems and suffering yet in
reality women have increasing degraded as a result of the after math of the intensifying feminism
Out of the attention given to women affairs they have been enable to easily access
contraceptives, abortion services and other heaths services they have been lacking for decades.
Such service has reduced mother mortalities especially due to complications during birth and
pregnancy hence have generally improved the lives of women in the society earning them some
dignity amongst the men. Easy access to family planning services has reduced unwanted
pregnancies which often leads to economic strains especially for the financial unstable women
thus being able to control the abilities to have family ha has helped them to prioritize on other
critical issues of life like careers and financial freedom hence has facilitated many of them
leading respectable lives hence being treated with honor and dignity since they can take charge
of their lives responsibly contrary to past generations (Head, & Galligan, 74)..
In the modern society women activism and feminism has increased and spread its effects
to the more conservative and traditional societies empowering women to know their natural
rights making them to carry out a revolution against the past injustices against them in the
society. This has seen women access equal opportunities in alls aspects of life and more
informed generation of women who sufficiently contribute to the growth and development of the
society initially dominated by degrading men.
Discussion
In attaining their chauvinistic goals men have often denied women privileges of
education, holding property and taking leadership both in the society and politically,
opportunities which would make them independent and empowered thus promoting the men’s
4. Surname 4
ability to undermine their dignity. Therefore in the modern society it’s clear that women have to
attain some level of various things in order to be dignified in the society. Some of these thing
that women need to attain In order not to be degraded include being, educated, aware of their
rights, regarding both state and family issues like birth, abortion, property ownership, child
custody and decision making processes in issues that affects them (Head, & Galligan,74).
For a woman to be respected and dignified in the modern society one of the things that
women should attain is their rights to be educated rationally thus giving them an opportunity of
making a full contribution to societies they come from. According to Wollstonecraft women
have been degraded by their societies simply because they have been assumed that they are weak
beings who are not able to make rational or even abstract thought about the society
(Wollstonecraft, 234).Therefore for them to be seen as equal beings who can contribute to the
development of the society just as the way men do, they should attain certain level of education
that will serve to empower them to make rational and abstract decisions that will steer their
societies ahead thus making them to be respected and dignified as human beings. Therefore by
women getting the appropriate education and training they will be able to play a critical and
dignified role in the society which helps in eliminating the male stereotypic thinking that women
are incapable of making societal decisions. When women get educated they are capable of
thinking and acting as men contrary to the traditional assumption and hence success in the
society resulting from educated women will help to reverse the biased thinking thus giving them
a deserved dignity and respect from all quarters of the society (Bernard, 127).
Another way that women will avoid being degraded in the society is by being well
prepared role models who give a dignified and respectful education to their children and this is
attributed to the fact that women are the main educators and up bringers of most children in the
5. Surname 5
society as compared to the male counterparts (Pearsall, 95). Women form the primary educators
of young children thus by women having a relevant level of education on family matters and the
roles they play in the society modeling skills will give them the best opportunity to offer
dignified and respectful service to the society countering the traditional thinking that women are
not good role models. Biased thought which was based on the fact that women were less
educated and would give falsified information while educating the youngsters. Based on the past
experience women have been neglected when it comes to education opportunities and that has
made men to stereotype women as toys and objects to be used by men to satisfy the needs of
male ego resulting in the degradation of the value of women in the society for generations.
Therefore by women getting the expected level of education on family matters especially on
upbringing and making correct choices will dignify their inevitable and necessary contribution to
the growth and development of the society as a whole.
In the traditional setting women had been taught from infancy that beauty is a woman’s
sceptre and this has made their minds to shape themselves to the body imprisoning women from
achieving the best of themselves in the society (Wollstonecraft, 354). They have been made to be
rational companions to their husbands who solely focus on the outward accomplishments
limiting their complete participation and contribution to the society and this ideology has made
women to be degraded based on the stereotypic male performance in the society, thus educating
women to certain levels of understating will boost their dignity and respect as they will be able to
have enough resources that will yield more contribution of women into societal realms (Bernard,
67). Women should get the most perfect education that boosts their understanding strengthening
both the body and their hearts; this will render them independent both ideally and philosophically
6. Surname 6
hence able to earn respect and dignity from the society as they have the necessary elements of
knowledge that promotes the cementing of the society (Wollstonecraft, 30).
In the Handmaid’s tale women are seen to have a deeper sense of attachment beyond
what men is able to see. For instance Offred when interacting with Moira and the wife of the
commander, talking about her daughter and her mother she constantly shows the implication that
women connect more deeply rather than just a casual interaction. This illustration brings in the
concept of sensibility in women which I think if well considered will increase the dignity and
respect that is accorded to women in the modern society. This is simply because women as a
whole unit should be able to come together and inform each other on the best way forward in the
society instead of depending so much on their feelings in making irrational decisions that leads
them to being degraded (Head, & Galligan, 104).
Another thing that women need to do in order to make them being dignified is to put their
efforts together in fighting for issues that empower them to attain the best of themselves in the
society (Bernard, 194). Women across all boards and origins must speak in one language as it
regards indignation of women in any society whether its about women and leadership or
opportunities or access to healthcare services and education ,women as a unit must constantly
demand for what rightfully theirs and in doing so pressure on the society to improve the
standards and live of women will increasing forcing the society at large to appreciate the crucial
role that women play on development and survival of the entire human race (Wollstonecraft,
123). Consequently women will be able to earn the dignity and respect that they deserve and
have been denied for generations.
In addition to that for women to be dignified they should consider themselves as equal
entities when it comes to representation especially in the political circles where they will be able
7. Surname 7
to contribute to decisions made by the politicians regarding the society at large. Thus by women
ensuring they attain certain representation in the leadership realms they will be able to be
involved in the decision-making process e.g. on gender rights. Such involvement will ensure that
women get their deserved dignity in the society rather than being degraded simply because they
don’t have a say in everything that greatly affect them. This is seen in the handmaid’s tale in the
Gilead era where women have no rights to voting and leadership except serving as reproductive
objects. In the modern world women especially in the totalitarian regimes like in Arab countries
degrades women through their leadership and political tactics as they restrict women in
participating in political and leadership making them less of human beings and more of objects
(Bernard, 177). Therefore by women increasing their involvement in leadership and political
participation they will be able to be dignified and respected as equal human beings.
Another level in which I think when women attain they will not be degraded is the issues
that regard career and professionalism. Most women in the past generations have been believed
to do best as housewives and servants of their families. The element of women being left behind
in career choice and performance for instance by taking the traditionally so called manly courses
like sciences has made them victims of degradation (Wollstonecraft, 89).
Therefore by women taking charge of their profession by choosing classy careers like
medicine and law they will be able to earn themselves dignity and respect just as men do because
their misrepresentation in the manly careers has made them to be viewed as a weaker sex
incapable of being accorded dignity and respect. In the modern society women have been
degraded because they are not economically and financially independent thus often get married
to depend on men for provision of basic needs and this habit has made them to be degraded as
dependable (Wollstonecraft, 123). Thus by women using education and their careers to attain
8. Surname 8
financial freedom will reduce their dependency on men in the society which will in turn earn
them dignity and respect as they don’t depend men to sustain their lives hence they can make
personal decisions regarding the best choices for their lives. Without a respectable career and
independence women become less dignified and render them as a weaker sex in the society
(Atwood, 123).
For women to be dignified and respected in the society they should be able to be involved
in the making of family decisions. This include issues of child birth, property ownership, rights
to divorce, child care, access to contraceptives and family planning methods, abortion issues and
the issues of polygamy. In the modern society women especially those unaware of their natural
regarding family decisions have been forced to polygamy, having many children and even denied
justice regarding decision making on family rights and equality (Pearsall, 345). Such has made
them to be degraded in the society and therefore by women attaining certain level of
understanding of their rights on family decisions they will be able to be accorded more dignity
and respect by the society especially the men because they can use the legal means to get justice
anytime their dignity has been suppressed unfairly (Bernard, 167). The more women get
involved in the making of family decision the more dignity they will be able to acquire.
