JANE EYRE
Jane Eyre is a film based on the novel of the same title by Charlotte Brontë and
this novel is one of the most important of the Victorian era.
The story begins when Mrs. Reed send Jane Eyre to Lowood Institution because
she did not want to take over Jane.
After completing her studies, Jane becomes a governess for a little girl called
Adele, who lived in Thornfield Hall. The owner of Thornfied was Mr. Rochester and
soon Jane fall in love with him. Mr. Rochester asks Jane to marry with him, but the day
of the wedding, a friend of Mr. Rochester, Richard Mason stops the wedding on the
grounds that Mr. Rochester is already married and his wife alive. Mr. Rochester takes
Jane to his house and shows her his wife who had become insane, but Jane leaves
Thornfield and Mr. Rochester.
Jane is alone and lost again. She loses all her money and gets sicks, but she is
found by a young clergyman called St John and his sister and starts a new life as a
teacher in the local school. After that, St. John discover that Jane is the heiress to the
fortune of her uncle Thomas Eyre and she becomes a rich woman. St. John asks Jane to
marry with him, and they could go together to India, but Jane still loves Mr. Rochester
and she returns to Thornfield Hall. She finds Thornfield completely burnt and Mr.
Rochester was blind, but his wife had died in the fire, so Jane and Mr. Rochester could
marry at last and live together. A few years later, Mr. Rochester regains his vision and
the couple get a son and live happily ever after.
