Becoming a citizen of the United States is a very lengthy process. Not just anyone
can become a citizen of the United States. There are many requirements and
responsibilities to becoming a citizen, whether it is of the United States or any other
country. Being a citizen of the United States is a very special privilege. The people
who do become a citizen should be very lucky and proud to be the citizen of the
United States. Even though they do become citizens of the United States they
shouldn t forget about their own country either, but share the joyfulness.
The process to becoming a citizen is not hard, but you have to have been a good

The idea of a zoo is a noble idea. The objective of the zoo is to be a sanctuary where
animals live in safety from dangers such as poachers and diseases. This wildlife
refuge prevents animals from going extinct, and new generations of people can learn
about these animals and appreciate them. Due to human shortcomings, some zoos are
concrete prisons or execution chambers. The video, Captive AnimalMisery in
European Zoos , provided by Born Free Foundation on Youtube.com that is published

camels is to educate the public. Those two examples are not the only tragedies.

Margaret Sanger Vs Betty Friedan
Throughout history, leaders of political and social movements have designed slogans
and catchphrases to mobilize ordinary citizens into political and social activists.
Historically, activists such as Nelson Mandela, Mohandas Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther
King Jr., Rosa Parks, and countless others have, in their speeches and writings,
created a perfect pairing of words that persists in the mind of the listener. Two such
activists of the Twentieth Century were Margaret Sangerand Betty Friedan. Friedan
and Sanger greatly influenced the women s rights movement; despite both being
feminists, however, their personal beliefs in terms of other civil rights movements
often fell at opposite ends of the spectrum. Both Friedan and Sanger popularized
phrases which empowered their respective followers and similar activists to push
back against a system designed to repress them; the phrases that the two activists
used, however, reflected their different brands of activism and revealed their
differences of opinion on who mattered both for and in the Women s Rights
Movement. : Sanger with the phrase birth control and Friedan with the term feminine
mystique.
Betty Friedan, who lived from 1921 2006, constructed her activism through her
writing. She wrote for trade unions and magazines, and later, at the age of 42,
published her best known work The Feminine Mystique. This book stirred up a
following among urban, white, middle class American women who felt that their

Crime And Punishment By Fyodor Dostoevsky
In Fyodor Dostoevsky s novel Crime and Punishment, great attention is paid to
Raskolnikov s inner life, yet it is equally important to attend to those outside forces
that affect him. A significant but overlooked part of the novel, then, is how the city
of St. Petersburg affects Raskolnikov. Through my reading, I found it interesting
that Raskolnikov regularly traverses the city s bridges and uses them as a place for
reflection. Overall, there are twenty five appearances of the word bridge in the novel,
and so they appear in many different situations, holding many different purposes. First
and foremost, they serve as an important narrativedevice: they provide geographical
context, split up scenes, and provide scenes with emphasis by... Show more content

Psychologically, however, this scene is significant because it establishes the bridge as
a place of introspection. In this case, it highlights Raskolnikov s confusion, which
only further contextualizes his frail emotional and mental state after the murder.
Thus, this bridge scene serves as a simple yet concrete way to advance the plot while
conveying Raskolnikov s mental state.
Another scene exemplifying this dual role of bridges occurs during Part Two when
Raskolnikov watches a woman attempt to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge.
Notably, this scene begins with descriptive imagery of Raskolnikov s
surroundings: he notices the last pink gleams of the sunset on some houses,
blazing as if aflame... (168 169). This provides a contrast to the more depressing
descriptions of the city found regularly; earlier in the chapter, for example,
Raskolnikov is described to inhale the stinking, dusty, city infected air (154). Thus,
in a sense, the bridge can be a place of life and beauty. This mood changes, however,
after the woman attempts to take her life. In the aftermath, the narrator reports that
Raskolnikov looks upon it all with a strange feeling of indifference and detachment.
It was disgusting to him (170). Narratively, this scene is significant as it contains the
sub story of the woman, made possible by the bridge, but there is more to this scene
than that. The narrator
The Benefits Of The Affordable Health Care Act
In March 2010, the Affordable Health Care Act (ACA) was signed into law by
President Barack Obama; among the most commendable benefits of the ACA is
universal coverage. This act made it possible for people of classes and racial descent
in the United States to access health care insurance, regardless of their pre existing
conditions and gender. ACA prevented insurers from denying insurancecoverage as a
result of any pre existing conditions, meaning that no one would be excessively
charged for health care, left without coverage or, denied treatment due to their health
status or condition. This health reform meant a tremendous increase in health
insurancecoverage for the uninsured, and implemented reforms to the health
insurance market... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ethnic and racial disparities in the health system will expand if the new policy
reform takes place. Blacks and Hispanics in the United States will suffer most if they
are denied services because of their health status. Under the current Affordable Care
Act that was signed in 2010, insurers did not have the power to reject or deny
coverage to anyone based on their health status but the new reform represents a
violation of human rights where equality to access health insurance is threatened.
Under Article 15 in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, everyone has the
right to medical care and the right to security in the case of sickness Everyone has
the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well being of himself and
of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social
services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability,
widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control
(Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948). In enacting the repeal of ACA and
denying coverage for people with pre existing conditions, the United States is
standing against its promises and commitment from its international treaty obligations
to end racial discrimination in health care access. In addition, the U.S has accepted its
obligations to stop discrimination in the health system by its agreements with the

Essay on A City Upon a Hill by John Winthrop
In John Winthrop s essay City Upon a Hill , Winthrop expresses his distinct views
on the aims of the Puritans coming to New England. During the early 17th century
in Europe, some groups separated from the Church of England. These groups were
known as the Pilgrims, who founded Plymouth Colony in 1620. This religion had a
direct impact on religious ideas and culture in America. John Winthrop acquired a
royal charter from King Charles I and created the Massachusetts Bay Colony. City
Upon a Hill was written on the ship during the first mass Puritanmigration to New
England. This document provided the followers with a plan regarding their goals
upon arriving in America. Winthrop firmly believes that the people who are willing

He stresses throughout the essay that the settlers who are willing to be involved in
this mission must put their whole life into it and come together as one if they want
their religion to succeed as a model for other Christian churches throughout the
world. Winthrop says that God will help them in their times of need, and bless them
in return for their faith in him. The author uses biblical references such as Nadab
and Abihu. He uses this to show the consequences of innovation in worship. They
were blessed by God until there were transgressions including their unauthorized
entry into the Holy of Holies , lack of reverence, and intoxication. The Lord had
given them clear instructions on how to do something, but Nadab and Abihu
decided to disobey him do it in their own choosing. He references them to give an
example of sinning against the Lord. Another biblical reference Winthrop makes is
Saul and Amaleck, in which Saul makes a great mistake that denies him his kingdom
and results in his downfall. Winthrop mentions this because he is trying to convey
that the settlers are required to obey the Lord s wishes at all times.
Throughout the sermon, John Winthrop makes himself very clear about what he
wants the Massachusetts Bay Colony to accomplish when he establishes it. He
desires it to be a strictly religious society that will act as an example for the rest of
the colonies. Winthrop lays out a plan of exactly how he wants the colonists to act

Salb, James A WAN Technologies Paper
Over the last decade, the way we perceive computer networks in the world has
drastically changed because of things such as remote access, web based
applications and wireless devices. Additionally, businesses networks around the
world can be accessible virtually anytime from anywhere through assets such as
Cloud Computing or virtual private networking (VPN). Today s technology has
been the savior to some of the world s biggest problems in education, agriculture,
transportation, Health Care and many more avenues and the main reason is because
of the expansion and diversity of the Wide Area Network (WAN) networks. Wide
Area Network (WAN) technologies has provide many ways to accelerate and
optimizing business processes and procedures through Point to Point topology,
Packet Switched, and Circuit Switched WAN protocols, circuits and types. The
assortments of available WAN services and its costs usually depends on the
geographical region and the available provider. A WAN is comprised of several
computer networks linked together usually through or over the Internet and it s used
to connect other types of networks for businesses, campuses or government together
such as Local Area Network (LAN) and its rudimentary equipment are a station and a

Ernie Pyle s Reporting War In Tunisia
George Washington once said, If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel
it; if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising
prosperity, it must be known, that we are at all times ready for War. Regardless of
the consequences, one should always fight to defend their nation, and their people. It
is true that warcan be evitable, but countries do not follow that path always. As
much as a country tries to avoid war it is often not possible. Therefore, one must be
prepared. War is far more complex to understand. It is not only a conflict between
nations. Reporting war in Tunisia is a story written by author Ernie Pyle, which
illustrates war to its fullest. Unlike other war stories, Reporting War... Show more

In his story Reporting War in Tunisia, Ernie Pyle also illustrates how difficult and
stressful homecoming actually is for soldiers. As it is obvious, most of the issues
soldiers have while readapting to normally live are originated by the horrific
realities soldiers have to deal during war those sad moments of seeing a teammate
die, and seeing innocent people die, especially children. Nevertheless, Ernie Pyle
states Our men cannot make this change from civilians into warriors and remain
the same people. Even if they are away from you this long under normal
circumstances, the mere process of maturing would change them (171). But we
cannot expect less, these soldiers have experience the worst is life and Ernie Pyle
reflects this in his story. Soldiers go through traumatic brain injuries, physical
wounds, and emotional distress that it is easy to understand why many of them
have trouble readapting. However, In his story, Ernie Pyle also depicts that
although soldiers live the hardest days of their life at war, they can still take
something good out of it a family. A family of soldiers that have been bounded by
the atrocities of war. Soldiers should be proud of being at war because they are
fighting for peace and freedom. Perhaps the dark side of war has more to it, but one
should never forget why war is fought in the first place to keep
Unfair Dismissal Of The United Kingdom
In acquiescent to the definition that George has given to dismissal. I would like to
integrate on the following. Unfair dismissal in the United Kingdom is a component
of UK labour law that insists on fair and just and plausible treatment by employers in
cases where an employee s job could be terminated. The Employment Rights Act 1996
regulates this by highlighting that employees are entitled to a fair reason afore being
dismissed predicated on their capability to do the job, their conduct, whether their
position is economically redundant, on grounds of a statute, or some other substantial
reason. It is therefore automatically inequitable for an employer to dismiss an
employee regardless of length of service, for a reason cognate to... Show more content

The test is defined in section 98(4) of the Employment Rights Act 1996 as Charlotte
and George have already highlighted.
Above all the employer is expected to act reasonably in dismissing the employee.
This principle derived originally from the case British Home Stores v Burchell
[1980] ICR 303 which concluded that an employer should base a decision to dismiss
on a genuine belief, based on reasonable grounds and following a reasonable
investigation that there where grounds to justify dismissal. This is what is known as
the range of reasonable response test. (Chris Turner, Unlocking Employment law, 1st
edn, Routledge, 2013) 571).This test has been subject to criticism and the reasons are
highlighted below.
To begin with Tor Brodtkorb highlighting that, one of the end of unfair dismissal
law at the time of its enactment was to ascent the criterion followed by employers
in dismissing to offer employees greater security measures in their employment (The
Report of the Royal Commission on Trade unions and Employer s Associations,
1968). Because of the RORR test, the law on unfair dismissal has done very little to
growth job security for employees and to protect them from the whims of
management. The exam requires the tribunal to imagine a range of reasonable

There will need to be give and take for there to be a resolution to the sticking
points. My strategy will also encompass a way to build trust among the companies.
The first thing would be to have Wyoff look at their technology licensing. I would
ask for them to offer their technology license at a reduced rate to China LuQuan as
a gesture of trust and friendship. Wyoff also must be made aware of the culture in
China and the need for partners to also be friendly. China LuQuan would need to
look at the product slate and become more open to a wider range of products which
would show compromise on their part. With the issue of the Chinese people and
employees again culture will play a role. Each of the companies must give in
somewhat to achieve an agreement on each side. Possibly a 10% immediate
reduction in staff and the remainder of the reduction over two years. The
management could also be made up of members equally from both companies. The
percentage of ownership should also be examined and a 50 50 ownership should be
developed as a move in the right direction to doing business in China. Cultural
differences play a very big role when looking at China and the United States. China
needs to understand Wyoff s all business attitude and younger negotiators and Wyoff
needs to understand the importance of elders and their knowledge along with

Essay On Getting Married And Cohabitation
Bikram Bista Prof Mather English 1010 11/12/2017 Getting Married vs cohabitating
Cohabitation is an arrangement where a couple who have not married life
collectively. Such arrangements have become more and more common in Western
nations during the previous few decades, being directed by changing social views,
specifically about marriage, gender role, and religion. Whereas getting married is
also called wedlock, is a socially accept the union among spouse that builds right and

In contrast, extremely high costs of housing and constricted finances of today s
economy is reasons that lead a couple to cohabitation. While cohabiting partners
are less likely to pull their income. such kind of relation results in more fragile
partnership. But it may offer greater flexibility to engage in the wider range of
economic arrangement for cohabited. Also, Marriage enriches the relationship
between a spouse and the in laws and in case of the death of the partner they can
help in raising children bored. Inheritance of wealth that spouses have obtained
over time is easier when spouses are lawfully married. In other hand, people
cohabiting for years, bearing children and generating wealth collectively, but due to
lack of legal evidence can be a burden for raising children without the wealth they
accumulate collectively if one dies. Secondly, commitment plays an important role
in both relations. The primary reason people live together without being married is
that one or both parties are unwilling to commit to a higher level. The cohabiting
relationship allows them to check the other individual out on a trial basis before
determining if they measure up. After all, it s all about how decent the other person
is at making them content and meeting their needs. Whereas in marriage a deeper
and essential level of commitment is needed. The commitment to be willing to do
whatever it takes to make a marriage work. There is less chance of being cheated in

Rebel Without A Cause Comparison
Rebellion is a common theme in both Rebel Without a Cause, directed by Nicholas
Ray and Bonnie and Clyde by Arthur Penn, acts of rebellion create dramatic,
memorable scenes that help create relatable characters and struggles. When one

both Jim are Clyde are similar. One unforgettable scene from Rebel Without a

How Does Disco Affect Society During The 1970s

To understand disco music and why it was popular in the 1970s to 1980s, one must

usually recorded and with complex electronic instrumentation, in which simple,
repetitive lyrics are subordinated to a heavy, pulsating, rhythmic beat. ( disco )

Classical Liberalism And The Enlightenment
Paper #1: Classical Liberalism
Classical liberalism is the transition from focusing on government to focusing on the
rights of individuals. This transition came about during the time of the Enlightenment
in the eighteenth century. The Enlightenment period was when man started to have
more faith in his own reasoning. People began to look for evidence on their beliefs
themselves and to find proof on these beliefs, so that they could come up with their
own opinions on things. One way that they did this was by going back and rereading
Roman and Greek texts and retranslating these texts. This new way of thinking also
caused the Protestant Reformation to occur. Some of the most influential
Enlightenment writers were John Locke, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, and the
people of France s National Constituent Assembly. John Locke was one of the most
influential writers during the Enlightenment period, and was the first Enlightenment
Thinker . Locke is the author of the Two Treatises and believed that every person
was born with natural rights such as: life, liberty, and property (Locke). These rights
were meant for everyone, and not just the nobility or wealthy. Locke uses references
from the Bible throughout the Two Treatises stating that God created man without
any state of inferiority (Locke). This disproves the idea of Divine Right given from
God that many countries in Europe had been participating in. John Locke also

The Marketing Model Canvas As An Analytical Framework

evaluate The Fun Center and generate recommendations to further improve the
delivery of its value proposition. The Fun Center aims to provide children with an
exciting and safe place to have fun by providing an array of arcade games, food
and beverages, and event hosting. We made no changes to the general premise of
the Business Plan, but rather we fine tuned the aspects we felt lacked clarity. The
gaps that we originally identified in the first version of the Business Plan were minor
and posed little threat to the company s overall success. However, we felt that The

Recommendation 1: Market to Children and Parents
Our analysis of the Business Model Canvas has revealed a minor hole in the channels
section. We feel as though the company s business plan failed to account for a very
significant customer segment: kids. Currently, marketing is directed towards
arcade enthusiasts and middle to upper class adults. The hope is that parents will
be intrigued by the company s value and bring their children to the arcade.
However, considering that the value proposition seeks to serve children ages 5 12
as a target customer segment, the Business Model Canvas would suggest that a
channel should exist to directly connect The Fun Center s value to children. In
addition to advertising to adults with traditional methods, we recommend that The
Fun Center also market directly to children in order to improve reputation and
garner more interest. For example, advertising The Fun Center on children s shows
and radio stations will communicate to children in ways that are already familiar
and comfortable to them. According to small business advice from Hearst
newspapers, it would cost 200 to 1,500 dollar to commercially advertise The Fun
Center on a local station, a small investment for a large long term benefit (Wagner,

Often, we focus on analyzing the values of our current (Western) cultureand the
cultures preceding it, in order to better understand why we believe and do certain
things. However, all cultures are based off of human nature not just Western culture.
Analyzing and studying other cultures as well as one s own, will give a person a
greater understanding human nature. It will give a better picture of human nature in
a universal context. What do all peoples across history, and across in the world,
believe in? What geological factors seem to influence the formation of certain beliefs
and traditions? An example of similarities between cultures of varying regions is how,
in the Anishinabek culture, teachings and stories are traditionally passed on through
oral tradition. The same is true of ancient Greek culture, as seen with Homer s The
Odyssey, and of medieval European culture, as embodied in Marie de France s
Lanval. Humanities is about human nature, and humans have a rich diversity of
cultures to explore that through. I would highly recommend visiting the Ziibiwing

A Day At The Crocker Art Museum
A Day at the Crocker Art Museum
Having lived in the Sacramento area for the last 10 years, last weekend was my first
trip to the Crocker Art Museum. The museum was slow when we first got there
around 10:00 am, but within an hour it started to pick up. I did not expect much from
a museum in Sacramento, I was thinking more like gold rush memorabilia or Sutter
household items. In short, I love the place. It is so much bigger and with more art
than I imagined. My favorite part of the museum was the old part and not the
modern side. I did not get the meaning of quite a few of the modern paintings, ok,
all of them. One of the modern Art s was just a shoe that was painted, my friend
and I tried to figure out why this was considered art and all we could come up with,
is that it was an expensive shoe. I don t even know what to say about a single Apple
computer box, it had to represent something expensive because it was in a glass lock
box.
I wanted to hear more about the story of the family, Judge, and Mrs. E. B. Crocker
and how and why they were so generous with their artwork. We first started in the
new part of the house, where the modern art is displayed, and then we proceeded to
go to the older part, which is inside two old houses, so I loved seeing all the old
architecture and walking through all the rooms imagine what it was like when
people lived there. My favorite part of this whole visit was when, I was trying to find
out how the museum acquired all this artwork and
Eisenhower Early Life
2 March 2016 Dwight D. Eisenhower
Background Information:
Dwight D. Eisenhower was the thirty fourth president of the United States. He was
known for his peaceful presidency and a well known United States army general of
world war two. One significant quote of his is, Only Americans can hurt America.
This particular quote stood out most because it makes sense and gets others thinking.
It s interpreted as, whatever step America decides to take, they ll be responsible for
the consequences, good or bad.
Early Life:
Dwight D. Eisenhower was born on October 14, 1890. His parents were Ida
Elizabeth Eisenhower and David Jacob Eisenhower. He, his brothers, and parents
lived in Dwight s birthplace, Denison Texas. However, they did move to different
cities where his father could get better job opportunities. One example was at
Dwight s uncle s creamery. Throughout, Dwight s highschool life he enjoyed
playing football and was on his high school s team. He also had a good relationship
with his brother. He and his brother had a deal where one of them would work and
the other would attend college so that they could pay off the college tuition. They
were supposed to switch off but then, Gonzalez 2
Dwight joined the military where he later found out that the military could pay for his
college.

Dwight D. Eisenhower s last day on earth was on March 28,1969. He had gone
through several heart attacks and had severe heart problems and on March 28th he
couldn t give into fighting anymore. He passed away at Walter Reed Army Hospital

Analysis Of John Was An American Comic Book Artist
John was an American comic book artist known for his work with EC Comic on
Two Fisted Tales and Frontline Combat, Marvel Comics on war and western comics,
and a 45 year stint with the magazine Cracked. He was also one of the founding
artists of Mad in 1952. Severin was insucted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame
in 2003 before passing away in 2012.
Severin s strongest aspects of this piece are framing, line work, and detail. The
framing is successful with the archway in the foreground of the environment. This
black arch frames the whole piece. Within the arch, the skeletons create a secondary
framing device, calling attention to the men on the stains. The immense detail in the
skeletons allow them to work with the top arch ... Show more content on

The black placement is almost nonexistent except for inside the building in the
background. This pulls the viewer to this spot, which is rather unimportant in the
image, while the focus should be on the woman.
This piece successfully utilizes hatching, black placement, and has reproduced a
character who is identifiable. The hatching in the cloak of the character shows
directionality without becoming too complicated can being distracting. The black
placement in the cloak weights the character provides ground for him and the
mailbox to sit on. The reproduction of a character is sometimes difficult to achieve
without matching a certain style. Severin successfully achieves drawing Bilbo
Baggins and having him recognizable, despite the name on the mail box to push
recognition. The weakest aspect of the piece is acting. Bilbo is stiff, and white he
is in the act of taking the mail out of the mailbox, he breaks the fourth wall by
looking at the viewer. It would be more successful acting if he was looking at the
action he was performing.
The strongest aspect of this piece is line direction. In the water they encircle the
action, and in the rocks they lead the viewer down into the water. They also aid in the
creation of texture, rhythm, pattern, and framing. The texture created by the lines in
the water reflect ripples that would actually occur in the real world.
New York City
TIt is not easy living in public housing and poor neighborhoods. There are a lot of
struggles going on in the streets. Things such as gang activity, carjacking, robberies
and murder happens on a daily basis. It is more common in the projects, it sure is
rough living there. A Lot of people s goal is to make it out, but not a lot of people
make it out alive.
Living in public housing wasn t the best thing in the world. The projects in New
York would have poor living conditions like the elevators smelled like weed and
people would have gotten stuck in the elevator. You have to push the emergency
911 button and the firefighters will come. The stairs are really dirty and filled with
pee, it also smelled like weed. One time I actually saw poop on the stairs from a
human. The delivery people would get robbed all the time and at times stabbed or
killed. You would hear police sirens every single day and most of the time they were
in the building. My dad had gotten robbed before and my brother got shot. Gang
members all hanged out downstairs in front of the building, they sold drugs too.
Everyone had food stamps to help them with their lifestyle, you can use it in the
supermarket or corner store.
In New York Cityyou ain t really hear the things that were happening outside
because NY is so loud and noisy because of the cars going by but you sure did hear
them in York,PA. York is a smaller city than NYC so you can hear what is going on
in the streets. We moved out of New York to get away
Symbols In Zadie Smith s Embassy Of Cambodia
What does struggle mean to the average person? It may mean writing a trying
essay, preparing for a job interview, or even something as simple as riding a bike.
However, in The Embassy of Cambodia, Zadie Smith shows readers the real
meaning of struggle through the main character, an unpaid housemaid by the name
of Fatou. There are many protruding themes in the story, but the most prevalent
moral of the story is, no matter how many times the big guy may knock one down,
they must always get up, and never let him win. In The Embassy of Cambodia, the
game badminton and the Embassy itself are symbols for Fatou and the struggles she
faces every day. In the story, each chapter is labeled with what seems to be a
badminton score, ending with 0 21,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fatou lingers by the Embassy every Monday before her swim despite the risks.
The reader gets the sense that she is drawn to the Embassy because it reminds her
of herself. Similarly, the Old and New People of Willesden and Andrew are
intrigued by Fatou and drawn to her (Smith 13). The Embassy, on the other hand,
gets much more attention. The Embassy is a normal building, but it s placed in a
peculiar location. Embassies are typically in the heart of a city, or at least near it,
but this Embassy is located in the middle of the suburbs by a health center and a
retirement home. This mysterious building is out of place in the world, much like
how Fatou is out of place in her world. She traveled from place to place with her
father before finally settling in London to be an underappreciated housemaid that
barely passes as a human rather than a slave. As a result, she has built tall walls
like the Embassy s and has become reserved and closed off to a degree. Despite the
fact that Andrew is a nice, intelligent, dorky guy that Fatou really wants to like
some part of her rebel[s] against him, some unholy part (Smith 8). This reflects the
exclusive closed off nature of the Embassy. When the Embassy gets a basketball
goal in the back of it Fatou waits and waits for someone to play basketball, but it
never does. She s waiting for change. The goal moves closer to her and still, nothing
happens. The change in the Embassy

The Millionaire Next Door Analysis
The Millionaire Next Door is insightful book for those wanting to understand how
your money works for you. This being said, Thomas J. Stanley did a splendid job
ensuring that you get his main points accessed on how people who are millionaires
stay millionaires, these points include living below your income, manage your time
and moneyefficiently, living independently is more important than showing high
social status, not relying on your parents for money, having children who are self
sufficient, and choosing the right occupation. From these points the most the top
three most valuable in my opinion are living below your income, manage your time
and money efficiently, living independently is more important than showing high
social status, having children who are self sufficient, this is technically four but I
believe that if you are going to live below your income you are going to have to
manage your time and money efficiently, thus, in my opinion putting them as one
point.

I believe that if I am raising children I would like to do it right. There is no doubt in
my mind that women have the odds stacked against us when it comes to getting a
high income job, a man in the same position could make more than the women. But
as a raise my children I would teach my children that they can do whatever occupation
they choose. Another thing I would not do is provide much money to my children, I
would want them to learn how to gain it on their own. In the book it talks about how
children how parents give children money, it can lead them down the path of
becoming an UAW, I would want my children to use the PAW approach. I also
learned that you should never tell your child how much you make, if they are getting
a trust fund, and don t give them money as a negotiation strategy. I believe that these
are valuable lessons when bringing up children in our
Target Market And Retail Policies Of Completely Different...
Before I start to talk about target market and retail policies of completely different
fashion retailers,
I would like you to answer these following questions:
1. How old are you?
2. What part of the country are you from?
3. What is your monthly income, and your monthly outgoings?
4. What jobs do you parents hold?
5. What type of school did you go to?
6. How often do you buy a new outfit?
7. How much do you spend on new clothes?
8. Would you say ethical and environmental concerns are a priority to you?
These constitute only a very few of the questions that marketing executives are trying
to discern about you, in order to create the type of fashion retail brand that gets you
hot under the collar and itching to go shopping. Of course, you instinctively know
that fashion retailers like Primark and Gucci are a world apart (not counting the ironic
title of Primani that has now been applied to our most ubiquitous of high street
retailers...). But do you know precisely who these companies are targeting in an
attempt to increase footfall through their doors? Are YOU a marketing goldmine for
fashion retailers?
Perhaps your answer to that last question is of course I am! More people means
more money, right? Not always. You might be surprised to find that many
companies simply don t want you. Take Gucci for example. Very early on in the
game, Gucci decided that more people didn t mean more money and engaged in a
strong exercise in market segmentation. If all

home around ten o clock that night and my father said shower and go to bed. My
sister and her friends thought it would be so funny to scare me, so they got plastic
knives out and put them in between their fingers and scratched them up and down
the shower liner. I jumped high and screamed for my dad. I swore I would never

second Nightmare on Elm Street came out. I went to that movie but was not as
scared as I was with the first. So now you know my first scary movie I ever saw. I
still think to myself, Why do we scare ourselves so much? I think the answer is
that there is something dark inside of us all just itching to come out and play. I did
not know that then but maybe if I did it would not have scared me as much as it did.
I do know now that I love scary movies and I have a blast going to see them and scare

The Genocide And Its Impact On The World s Existence
Before the class began this semester, I was unaware of all the genocide cases and
their concepts that constitute what a genocide truly is that have occurred within the
world s existence. The UN Convention defines the term genocide (rape and killing)
into five specific categories of the terminology. Out of the five elementsdescribed, the
first, second, and fourth elements are the categories that I mostly saw demonstrated
throughout the studies that we discussed within the class. These elements proclaim
that genocidemeans the killing, causing of serious bodily or mental harm, and the
imposing of measures intended to prevent births, all within the specific targeted
group. These demonstrate the main attributing factors that not only occur within a
genocide as it is undergoing, but also the notions behind why the genocide occurred
to begin with. My initial knowledge of what attributes to genocide has increased not
only from the chapter or the eye witness accounts, but also from the class
discussions that allow for ones minds to further analyze why certain majorities of
civilians believe they can control and target the rest of the country s civilization. My
knowledge has increased not only on how it occurs within different countries
(especially the minority countries) but also how there is a need for prevention of
genocide. Before this class, the only true genocide that I had been introduced to was
the Holocaustthat not only targeted the Jews, but also the Gypsies and the
Sara Teasdale Essay
Sara Teasdale lived a lonely life filled with feelings of depression, regardless of her
circumstance. These feelings of loneliness and depression manifest themselves in
her lyric poems through her use of emotional diction and her employment of
simple imagery. Sara Teasdale, born in 1884 in St. Louis, Missouri, grew up to be
an incredibly famous poet. Her father, John Warren Teasdale, provided a middle
class life for his family. Sara s mother, Mary Elizabeth Teasdale, focused on their
family s image. Sara lived a sheltered and spoiled life. As a child she learned in
private schools and taught to believe consider herself fragile and constantly ill. Her

Teasdale uses the image of water again. Illustrating her experiences of love
throughout her life, she says I have loved much and been loved deeply. A summary
of the entire poem, this quote works to show that she experienced much love
throughout her life, however fleeting the love had been. This poem reflects Sarah s
mentality that love should be an experience. Jessie B. Rittenhouse wrote about
Teasdale s collection Love Songs, stating that Teasdale s work seemed effortless.
Rittenhouse believed Teasdale s lyrical style just flowed from her lips. Calling
Teasdale s poems impulsive, Rittenhouse believed these poems to be simply
composed casual responses to the emotional trials in Teasdale s life (Rittenhouse
425). Another critic, Louis Untermeyer, believed Teasdale s Flame and Shadow
Collection to be completely different from her old works. Untermeyer suggested
Teasdale wrote this collection to branch out. While the subject of her poems remained
the same, Teasdale tried something new in regards to style. Untermeyer criticised that
Teasdale limited herself too much in her subject matter, and could have benefited
from making alterations there, as well as in her style.Untermeyer also commented
that Teasdale became more flexible with her new style, refusing to stick to regular
patterns (Untermeyer
Ecosystems at Risk Essay
Compare the nature and rate of change that affect the functioning of TWO different
ecosystems at risk.
An ecosystem is the dynamic complex of plant, animal and micro organism
communities and their non living environment as a functional unit. Ecosystems are
systems through which incoming solar energy is captured and channelled through a
hierarchy of life forms. Each ecosystem has its own characteristic plant and animal
community.
Nature of change refers to the natural or human induced change towards an
ecosystem. Humans play a role in maintaining or disturbing the dynamic equilibrium

The Great Barrier Reef is a huge, complex ecosystem located off the east coast of
northern Queensland and is considered as an ecosystem at risk. It stretches
approximately 2300km from Papua New Guinea s Fly River in the north (8вЃ°S) to
Fraser Island in the south (24вЃ°S) and has become the largest World Heritage site in
the world. It has 1500 of the worlds 13 000 fish species in it area, 200 bird species,
5oo species of seaweed, 600 species of echinoderm, 125 species of shark and ray and
around 360 species of hard coral.
The Great Barrier Reef is a highly active ecosystem. Tropical cyclones are a major
source of damage to this reef system. These storms create great waves that damage
corals. They bring large amounts of fresh water onto the reef though forceful rain.
The fresh water alters salinity levels, placing stress on the corals and other animals.
Human s impacts have affected the Reef for thousands of years. Climate change, oil
spills, tourism, overfishing, land clearing, sewage and waste disposal, coral
harvesting and dredging and sand mining have all been major human impacts on the
Great Barrier Reef. The impacts of climate change have affected the climate of
northern Australia. The increase in sea surface temperature, the increase in average
sea level, the change in rainfall patterns, changes to ocean currents and circulation,

Failures Of Indira Gandhi
Week Ten: This weeks analysis on Indira Gandhi helped me unpack her successes
and failures. Some of the major failures that my group talked about was the forced
sterilization, state of emergency, religious divide, censorship and corruption. The
mass forced sterilization was ultimate failure in my eyes and as I talked about prior
a major human rights violation. Interestingly, Indira Gandhi had no gender policy
during her reign. One would think that a women politician would want to address so
many of the problems that plague women on a daily basis. If I was a women in India
during the time where Indira Gandhi came to power, I would have been devastated
that she was not interested in improving women s rights. Indira also reinforced the
religious divide within India, especially for the Sikhs. She ended up exacerbating
tensions in the region, which ultimately lead to her demise.
While she did have a lot of failures, this weeks class helped bring to light some of
her successes as well. Prior to this class I only really thought of her failures and
even during class my group had a hard time coming up with anything. I think her
lack of credentials and her short sidedness made her ill prepared to be a ruler.
Throughout this class I began to admire Nehru and his leadership of India; however,
with Indira I felt myself being angry and disappointed with her ruling style.
Rajiv Gandhi s rise to power was even more abrupt than his mothers. He was even
less qualified than his

The As A Work Of Art
As art becomes more prevalent, intricate, and sophisticated in culture so does its
impact on a viewer. A viewer must experience a work of art and connect to it in
order for it to be considered effective. Aristotle, one of the most renowned Greek
philosophers, believes in this idea and that is why Ajax by Sophoclescan be
considered a work of art. Sophocles play follows a warrior named Ajax who was
threatening to kill Odysseus to obtain the armor he believed was rightfully his,
which causes the goddess Athena to cast a curse leaving him blind with rage and in
a state where he slaughters hordes of animals believing that they are his enemies.
Ajax later becomes distraught to the point of suicide. Bryan Doerries produced a
version of Ajax to relate to veterans through his company, Theater of War. This
company s specific purpose is to de stigmatize psychological injury, increase
awareness of post deployment psychological health issues, disseminate information
regarding available resources, and foster greater family community, and troop
resilience through the performance of Ancient Greek plays to military and civilian
communities (Outside the Wire). Because of this purpose, the audience is able to
form an intense connection with Ajax and fulfill the purpose of art. While looking at
Aristotle s Theory of Tragedyand the six most important features of a tragedy, it
becomes apparent that connection in all six features is the only way to create
effective art. Bryan Doerries
Washkansky s Transplantation Case Study
At 12:50 am on Sunday, December 3rd, 1967, Washkansky was taken into the
operating room, anaesthetised and ready to be prepped for transplantation by
Christiaan Barnard. Barnard made an incision, opened Washkansky chest, and began
inserting cannulas (a thin tube inserted into a vein or body cavity to administer
medicine, drain off fluid, or insert a surgical instrument) which are necessary for the
heartlung machine.
Meanwhile, Denise Darvall was in another operating room being prepped for
transplant by Marius Barnard. She had an artificial respirator to help her breathe
and to keep her alive. At 2:20 am, a message was sent to Marius that Washkansky
was ready for the operation and Marius then switched off Denise s artificial
respirator. Twelve minutes later, Denise Darvall s heart stopped
As soon as Darvall s heart stopped, the surgical team made an incision, opened up her
chest and connected her to a heart lung machine. This cooled her blood to preserve
her organs. Christiaan Barnard then cut through the major vessels of Denise s heart,
removed it, and placed the immaculate organ into a sterile dish that was filled with
cold preserving solution at 10 degrees centigrade. Next, the heart was carried next
door, where Louis Washkansky was prepped and ready. It was then immediately

Lynching In Duluth Summary
During certain times of history, communities have been swallowed up by times of
darkness seeming hopeless. Events in history help to illustrate this fact. In the book
Lynchings in Duluth, this fact is evident through people unwilling to go against the
crowd. When describing the scene of the lynching, the author states, from the streets
and sidewalks, other men grabbed onto the rope and marched behind, encouraging
others to join. The procession grew rapidly. Young men barely out of high school
were urging older men to come with them (Fedo 47). Although some men were very
passionate about the cause, others were only participating as a result of peer
pressure. Not enough people were willing to stand up against the majority, so they let
it happen.
Cantebury Tales
Hundreds of centuries before the fourteenth century, during it and yet still after,
civilization, led by the educated theologians, politicians and whoever else made up
the ruling class, women were looked at as the Devil s ally a sensual and deceitful
creature who was a constant bearer of sin and the cause of most of man s misfortune.
Women then and now may look upon most of these devilish characteristics as
desirable, strong willed and feministic. Chaucer appears to support women and
specifically these devilish feminists by creating two very strong willed and successful
women in the Wife of Bathand the old hag in the Wife s tale. However, through all of
the tough outer attributes, on the inside are the same classic and traditional... Show

The complexity and uniqueness of Dame Alice, as is her name, is symbolized by
having a prologue practically twice as long as her tale. Chaucer creates a
tremendous example of all the things women desired at the time that men would
not allow them with Dame Alice. She strikes fear into the town and its parish to
the point where she gets and does whatever she wants. A perfect example of the
fear and respect the town has for her is on lines 459 463 in the General Prologue:
In all the parish not a dame dared stir, Towards the altar steps in front of her, And if
indeed they did, so wrath was she as to be quite put out of charity. Furthermore, her
extravagance and boldness are exhibited in numerous cases, including lines 457
458: In making cloth she showed so great a bent she bettered those of Ypres and of
Ghent. As well as on lines 463 467: Her kerchiefs were of finely woven ground; I
dared have sworn they weighed a good ten pound, The ones she wore on Sunday,
on her head. Her hose were of the finest scarlet red and gartered tight; her shoes were
soft and new. Likewise on lines 480 483: Well wimpled up, and on her head a hat as
broad as is a buckler or a shield; She had a flowing mantle that concealed large hips,
her heels spurred sharply under that.
The Wife of Bath is a zealous woman who freely admits to all the lust, the conniving
and the spoiledness that defines her. Furthermore, she prides herself in the fact
Parental Divorce Research Paper
I will be focussing on how parental divorce affect a young person aged fifteen to
sixteen, I will also be looking at the things that can be done in order to make it as
easy as it can be; divorce is not an easy thing for anyone to go through. I will be
focussing on two key issues, effects of the transition and the emotional support
needed to make it easier; divorce has many different effects, among the effects are
the possibility of having to move away leaving friends but there are also the new
starts, choice of who they are going to live with as well as have tragic effects on
school work, attendance and exams; there are also the effects on their well being as

Bad Media
For centuries ago, violence has been an entertainment success, drawing the greatest
capacity of crowds gathering from afar, to see men and women of great strength
and skill compete in violence. From the prisoners of war and crime in ancient
Rome, collaborated in armor and dwelled with blood thirsty weapons thrown into
the great Coliseum to fight for their lives. As thousands of jubilant peasants and
civil men watched, and screamed like barbarians as these beings thrashed and
slashed for their own well being, to live to see their family and friends and to live
just one more day. Even now today, our most enjoyable and seen entertainment is of
the violent nature. People have begun to watch football and wrestling religiously. As

Television began putting out famous western movies, along with different war
movies depicting World War 1. Kids wanted to be just like the star on the T.V.;
whether it is their favorite GI, or John Wayne gunning down bad guys. Yet the start
of the classics, were nearly a smash hit compared to the gory glorified movies of
the 2000 s. During recent times we have sported some of the most vulgar, violent
images to reach the scream of the Television. Some of the goriest movies: Saw,
Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saving Private Ryan. It s not just that we have been the
decade that has made and produced some of the ghastly movies; our rating system
has been a falter to our system. Kids have been renting and viewing most of these
movies. The Saw movies were all a hit while I was in middle school, which bundled
all 5th graders through 8th. Being the eldest through those grade levels, 15 at the

Five Reasons To Suspect You Have Leaky Pipes
5 Reasons to Suspect You Have Leaky Pipes
Leaky pipes are one of the most common threats homeowners face. In fact, leaky
pipes are one of the most common home insurance claims made year after year.
However, when it comes to water leaks, you don t have to be a sitting duck. Leaky
pipes don t happen in a vacuum. The following are five reasons to suspect you have
a leaky pipe. If you notice any one of these signs around your home, contact your
local plumber immediately and avoid water damage that can lead to insurance claims.
Reason #1. Mold and Mildew Signal Leaky Pipes
Bacteria are constantly in the air. If you add moisture and warm temperature to the
equation, then you have the perfect setting for mold and mildew. Finding mold

Barring increased water usage, if you notice an increase in your water bill, then it s
likely you have a leaky pipe. WaterSense, an EPA partner, estimates that fixing a
leaky pipe can save homeowners 10% on their water bill.
Reason #3. Water Stains Are Around Your Water Heater
If you rely on a water heater to heat your home, then you know how important it is to
your home. Tons of water flow through your water heater to your shower, tub, and
your kitchen sink. Although it s designed to handle a lot of water, your water heater
could begin to leak. If it does leak, you ll notice water stains around your water heater.
At the first sign of a leaky water heater, you must contact your plumber to minimize
the potential for damage.
Reason #4. Damage to Your Cabinetry Should Tip You Off
Many homeowners are guilty of stuffing cleaning supplies and other items underneath
sinks. In most homes, chemicals abound underneath both the kitchen sink and the
bathroom sink. Unfortunately, the congestion underneath the sink can lead to leaky
pipes. If you notice an odor once you open your cabinet or you notice the wood
inside your cabinet is warped, then you should suspect you have a water

Have you ever found yourself wondering where your money has gone, or nor
remembering what you spent your money on? A monthly cash budget benefits both
businesses and everyday life. A monthly cash budget helps businesses estimate their
incoming monthly income, and how much their monthly expenses will be. The
preparation of a monthly cash budget allows companies to be better prepared when it
comes to their business cash flow and taxes. If a company is in the market to borrow
money or obtaining financing, the bank requires pro forma financial statements,
specifically the balance sheet (Conrad, n.d.). The creation of a monthly cash budget
aids in the preparation of important pro forma documents, making a monthly cash
budget important to running a successful business. A monthly cash budget allows
firms to visually understand their income and expenses, which in turn provides extra

over the years, the inclination of congress to make vast allotments to presidents

policy. In foreign affairs, it has typically been viewed that presidents have benefited
from the uncertainty of the governing structure by affirming power not openly

The advancement of technology has created new investigative tools for law
enforcement but these advancements have corresponded with constitutionality
challenges under the fourth amendment. The use of drones as as investigative tool
can provide benefits to law enforcement however, the use of drones can lead to
privacy concerns which need to be addressed as well. The use of devices for the
benefit of law enforcement must be examined in regard to both the efficiency and
efficacy of law enforcement techniques as well as the privacy rights of those citizens
in which the government wishes to monitor. According to the Fourth Amendment,
people are provided the right to be secure of their persons, houses, papers and effects,
against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants
shall issue, but upon probable cause. Furthermore, the amendment forbids the
government from conducting unreasonable searches and seizures which could allow
citizens to pursue lawsuits against those involved with unlawful searches. This leaves
the question as to whether reliance on technology can render a search or seizure
unreasonable such through the use of drone surveillance. Drones are aircraft which
function without the presence of individuals within the aircraft and instead function
remotely or independently varying in size from a vessel as small as insect to the
size of a commercial airplane. Furthermore, drones are equipped with high powered
cameras, thermal scanners, license plate readers, moving target indicators, LADAR,
LIDAR and facial recognition software. The use of drones provides a great benefit
when used in areas such as mapping, environmental protection, delivering packages
and rescue missions, however, their benefit

1 All citations from Don Quixote I II come from the following edition of the book:
Cervantes, Miguel. Don Quijote de La Mancha. Ed. Francisco Rico. Instituto

2 In this sense, the role of the pre Cide Hamete deflationist character of Cervantes s
authorship of/in Don Quixote I II as hinted at in the late stages of this prologue and
subsequently throughout the book, is to be understood as part of his strategy to
insists on the importance of linguistic self awareness through the deployment of the
self reflective narrative technique, e.g. by warning us that the poems of praise
featuring in his book are counterfeit, but including them nevertheless.
3 Born in 1547, he struggled throughout his entire life, plus upon his enrollment as a
soldier, he was badly wounded in The Battle of Lepanto, his subsequent capture by
the Turks earning him a five year period of imprisonment, not to mention that his
request to emigrate to America was twice turned down and he lived in really
precarious conditions during his writing of Don Quixote Part I.
4 This approach is much satirized by Cervantes in Los baГ±os de Argel, La Gran
Sultana, La Eleccion de los Alcaldes de Aganzo (1615) and of course, Don Quixote

the object treasure, having snatched it away from us (which is why we don t have it),

The History of Ancient Greece Essay
Every idea has a start and a history that can be traced back in time. An incredible
amount of these ideas and thoughts were started by great ancient civilizations. These
ancient civilizations are the base of all modern knowledge. No ancient civilization has
contributed more to this base than the civilization of Ancient Greece. The unique ways
of ancient Greek agriculture have left a profound influence on the agriculture of today.
Ancient Greek agriculture was the very necessity of the empire. People needed
food to work and soldiers needed food to fight, defend, and conquer neighboring
empires. Nearly 80% of the Greek population was somehow involved in agricultural
practices. In Greece, meat was expensive and available only to the elite. ... Show

They thought that olive trees were linked to Zeus and high quality olive oil was
valued by the powerful and wealthy. In the ancient Olympics, winners were given
an olive wreath as a prize for winning. In the Olympics held in Athens in 2004,
winners received an olive wreath like the winners in the ancient Olympics (The
New York Times Uneasy Lie The Heads Wearing The Wreaths ). The modern
Greeks tried to link both the ancient and modern Olympics by honoring the
tradition of the olive tree being associated with success and prosperity. The ancient
Greeks cured their olives in various ways like dry curing the olives with salt (Greek
Islands Use Of Olive Oil ). This technique is still used today by cooks and artisans
and has lasted and been very useful for centuries. The consumption of olive and
olive products between ancient and modern times has not gone down but instead
is more widely available and is in more demand. Modern Greek people consume over
twenty six liters of olive oil annually (Olive Oil Times Greek olive Oil: A Gift from
The Gods ).
Since fertile Greek land was often over cultivated, farmers needed ways to replenish
nutrients in the soil and improve its quality. More nutrients in the soil would give
them more successful and profitable harvests. Agriculture was improved with the
techniques used by the ancient Greeks. They practiced biennial crop rotation,
alternating every year between fallow and cultivated

John Munroe Case Study
In 1865, Architect John Munroe built the gallows behind the Sidney Street
Courthouse in Saint John New Brunswick. Munroe was noted to have said I wonder
who will be the first poor bastard to swing from this?
In September of 1869 a few children were picking blueberries along Black River Rd,
in saint John New Brunswick. They stumbled upon the bodies of an adult female
and infant that had been left in this spot for over a year. No one seemed to know
who they might be and police questioned a man by the name of James Kane.
Although their investigation of Kane was dismissed, a coachman by the name of
Robert Worden came forward. The man informed them that the previous autumn he

Cop Killer
In the late afternoon hours of June 24th 2014, 24 year old Jutin Bourque left his
trailer park home in Muncton New Brunswick, dressed in camflauge and carrying a
rifle and shotgun. He strolled down his street as if it were any other normal day, and
was spotted by serveral neighbors.
The first call into 911 was made around 7:18pm of an armed man walking down
Pioneer Avetowards the woods on the wet end of the street. The RCMP responded
immediately. Setting up perimeters around the woods and neighborhood. Bourque
had been spotted as he emerged from the words, crossing the street and entering
woods that boarded the backyards of several homes in the area. Three officers
trailed him, and as Bourque headed for a backyard one of the officers shouted to
him and Bourque opened fire at officer Frabice Gevaudan but missed. The officer
ran, radioing in that he was being shot at before being struck twice in the torso dying
almost immediately.
Justin ran and emerged southeast of McCoy street, continuing down Mailhot
Avenue just two minutes after killing Gevauden. Bourque was spotted by Cst.
David Ross who opened fire on Bourque from inside his vehicle. Ross shot twice
while Justin retaliated with six shots. Hitting Ross twice in the hand, and left
shoulder and one fatal shot to the head. Spectator s believe that Ross attempted to
run Jutin down but failed. Cst. Eric White discovered Ross s body still behind the
wheel of his cruiser but was forced to take cover when Bourque opened
George Lemaitre And The Big Bang Theory
Good morning/afternoon Ms Jungmann and class.
Now we all know that before life has begun, there was nothing. But the big bang
theory is a scientific way to explain what happened at the very beginning of our
universe.
George Lemaitre is the priest and physicist who was born in 1894 in Charleroi,
Belgium that perhaps made the greatest discovery in modern cosmology, the
discovery that our universe is expanding. In his early age, he was attracted to both
theology and science but was soon interrupted by World war 1. However, after the
war, he soon studied theoretical physics and in 1923 he was ordained as an abbe.
Lemaitre then pursued his scientific studies and studied astronomy at Cambridge
University and returned to Belgium to become a ... Show more content on

George called this the primeval atom but we know it as the Big Bang (Edel Fletcher,
2017).
5.Moving on to 1948, the year where an alternate theory is presented by Fred Hoyle,
who questioned the primeval atom theory (Edel Fletcher, 2017).
6.The 1950s, the time where doubts and a new perspective was born as the scientific
community divided. Big bang versus Steady state (Edel Fletcher, 2017).
7.However, in the 1980s is when the Big Bang Theory gained its popularity from its
clear observations, data, and evidence (Edel Fletcher, 2017).
8.But in 1965, the Cosmic Microwave Background was discovered when the Bell
Labs Holmdale Horn Antenna in New Jersey picked up a buzzing sound which came
in different directions in the sky. Its pretty much an electromagnetic radiation left

Scientific Perspectives
The topic of touch is approached with many different perspectives. Phillip s
psychoanalytic point of view is that tickling is a common interaction between a
child and their parent and that it is an acceptable sensual experience for them.
Howes and Classen discuss how tactile relationships between children and their
parents went from being acceptable to rare and then back to being a norm. In the
scientific perspective, Montagu argues that the touch of a mother early on in a
child s life has a major impact on their adult sex lives. The psychoanalytic, historical
and scientific perspectives have similarities and differences when it comes to touch.
Adam Phillips discusses how tickling is a form of contact between a child and their
parent. What makes tickling unique in terms of touch is that it is difficult to tickle
oneself and receive the same effect. A child who begins to do things on his own such
as eating still cannot tickle himself in the same way a parent or sibling would. Phillip
s uses Darwin s philosophy on tickling to further his argument.... Show more content

According to Montagu, a child with inadequate physical touch with a mother will
likely affect their sexual behavior later in life. The more physical relations that a
child receives, the more comfortable they will be with that interaction as an adult.
In relation to Phillips, tickling is an acceptable form of sensuous (9) touch between
a child and their parent. Phillip s considers the idea that tickling is a sensual and
erotic act and to tickle is to seduce, often by amusement. (10) Freud refers to
tickling as corresponding with stroking which is a part of the child s ordinary
sensuous life. (10) Therefore both authors are arguing that touch, like stroking and
tickling, are an appropriate form of touch and can help a child develop natural sexual

  • 3. Aniamls are Dangerous Essay The idea of a zoo is a noble idea. The objective of the zoo is to be a sanctuary where animals live in safety from dangers such as poachers and diseases. This wildlife refuge prevents animals from going extinct, and new generations of people can learn about these animals and appreciate them. Due to human shortcomings, some zoos are concrete prisons or execution chambers. The video, Captive AnimalMisery in European Zoos , provided by Born Free Foundation on Youtube.com that is published on 12th January 2012 shows animals in poor living conditions. In that video, there is an elephant in a small metallic enclosure. In fact, there are no plants or anything that would be in the elephant s habitat. The video continue to show multiple images... Costa Rica closes down those zoos because the facilities cannot take care of those animals properly, thus those animals would be healthier in the wild. The animals being healthy and happy is what important. Costa Rica sets an example on how governments should act if the zoos actions are not beneficial to animals. Animals are not safe in zoos. Abigail Hauslohner, who wrote the article Giraffe Suicide? Bear Riot? It s a Zoo Unlike Any Other for the Washington Post, reveals that animals are dying in the Giza Zoo in Egypt. According to the article, a young giraffe strangle herself to death from a wire. Animals under the supervision of people should not be able to hurt or kill themselves. Another horrifying truth in Giraffe Suicide? Bear Riot? It s a Zoo Unlike Any Other is that zookeepers kill camels for the purpose of selling the meat for profit. Those zookeepers have no right to kill those camels. The purpose for the camels is to educate the public. Those two examples are not the only tragedies. ...three black bears died in a single night under mysterious circumstances (Hauslohner). This example shows that zoos need to be better monitor. • 4. Margaret Sanger Vs Betty Friedan Throughout history, leaders of political and social movements have designed slogans and catchphrases to mobilize ordinary citizens into political and social activists. Historically, activists such as Nelson Mandela, Mohandas Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and countless others have, in their speeches and writings, created a perfect pairing of words that persists in the mind of the listener. Two such activists of the Twentieth Century were Margaret Sangerand Betty Friedan. Friedan and Sanger greatly influenced the women s rights movement; despite both being feminists, however, their personal beliefs in terms of other civil rights movements often fell at opposite ends of the spectrum. Both Friedan and Sanger popularized phrases which empowered their respective followers and similar activists to push back against a system designed to repress them; the phrases that the two activists used, however, reflected their different brands of activism and revealed their differences of opinion on who mattered both for and in the Women s Rights Movement. : Sanger with the phrase birth control and Friedan with the term feminine mystique. Betty Friedan, who lived from 1921 2006, constructed her activism through her writing. She wrote for trade unions and magazines, and later, at the age of 42, published her best known work The Feminine Mystique. This book stirred up a following among urban, white, middle class American women who felt that their male counterparts
  • 5. Crime And Punishment By Fyodor Dostoevsky In Fyodor Dostoevsky s novel Crime and Punishment, great attention is paid to Raskolnikov s inner life, yet it is equally important to attend to those outside forces that affect him. A significant but overlooked part of the novel, then, is how the city of St. Petersburg affects Raskolnikov. Through my reading, I found it interesting that Raskolnikov regularly traverses the city s bridges and uses them as a place for reflection. Overall, there are twenty five appearances of the word bridge in the novel, and so they appear in many different situations, holding many different purposes. First and foremost, they serve as an important narrativedevice: they provide geographical context, split up scenes, and provide scenes with emphasis by... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Psychologically, however, this scene is significant because it establishes the bridge as a place of introspection. In this case, it highlights Raskolnikov s confusion, which only further contextualizes his frail emotional and mental state after the murder. Thus, this bridge scene serves as a simple yet concrete way to advance the plot while conveying Raskolnikov s mental state. Another scene exemplifying this dual role of bridges occurs during Part Two when Raskolnikov watches a woman attempt to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge. Notably, this scene begins with descriptive imagery of Raskolnikov s surroundings: he notices the last pink gleams of the sunset on some houses, blazing as if aflame... (168 169). This provides a contrast to the more depressing descriptions of the city found regularly; earlier in the chapter, for example, Raskolnikov is described to inhale the stinking, dusty, city infected air (154). Thus, in a sense, the bridge can be a place of life and beauty. This mood changes, however, after the woman attempts to take her life. In the aftermath, the narrator reports that Raskolnikov looks upon it all with a strange feeling of indifference and detachment. It was disgusting to him (170). Narratively, this scene is significant as it contains the sub story of the woman, made possible by the bridge, but there is more to this scene than that. The narrator
  • 6. The Benefits Of The Affordable Health Care Act In March 2010, the Affordable Health Care Act (ACA) was signed into law by President Barack Obama; among the most commendable benefits of the ACA is universal coverage. This act made it possible for people of classes and racial descent in the United States to access health care insurance, regardless of their pre existing conditions and gender. ACA prevented insurers from denying insurancecoverage as a result of any pre existing conditions, meaning that no one would be excessively charged for health care, left without coverage or, denied treatment due to their health status or condition. This health reform meant a tremendous increase in health insurancecoverage for the uninsured, and implemented reforms to the health insurance market... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ethnic and racial disparities in the health system will expand if the new policy reform takes place. Blacks and Hispanics in the United States will suffer most if they are denied services because of their health status. Under the current Affordable Care Act that was signed in 2010, insurers did not have the power to reject or deny coverage to anyone based on their health status but the new reform represents a violation of human rights where equality to access health insurance is threatened. Under Article 15 in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, everyone has the right to medical care and the right to security in the case of sickness Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948). In enacting the repeal of ACA and denying coverage for people with pre existing conditions, the United States is standing against its promises and commitment from its international treaty obligations to end racial discrimination in health care access. In addition, the U.S has accepted its obligations to stop discrimination in the health system by its agreements with the international
  • 7. Essay on A City Upon a Hill by John Winthrop In John Winthrop s essay City Upon a Hill , Winthrop expresses his distinct views on the aims of the Puritans coming to New England. During the early 17th century in Europe, some groups separated from the Church of England. These groups were known as the Pilgrims, who founded Plymouth Colony in 1620. This religion had a direct impact on religious ideas and culture in America. John Winthrop acquired a royal charter from King Charles I and created the Massachusetts Bay Colony. City Upon a Hill was written on the ship during the first mass Puritanmigration to New England. This document provided the followers with a plan regarding their goals upon arriving in America. He stresses throughout the essay that the settlers who are willing to be involved in this mission must put their whole life into it and come together as one if they want their religion to succeed as a model for other Christian churches throughout the world. Winthrop says that God will help them in their times of need, and bless them in return for their faith in him. The author uses biblical references such as Nadab and Abihu. He uses this to show the consequences of innovation in worship. They were blessed by God until there were transgressions including their unauthorized entry into the Holy of Holies , lack of reverence, and intoxication. The Lord had given them clear instructions on how to do something, but Nadab and Abihu decided to disobey him do it in their own choosing. He references them to give an example of sinning against the Lord. Another biblical reference Winthrop makes is Saul and Amaleck, in which Saul makes a great mistake that denies him his kingdom and results in his downfall. Winthrop mentions this because he is trying to convey that the settlers are required to obey the Lord s wishes at all times. Throughout the sermon, John Winthrop makes himself very clear about what he wants the Massachusetts Bay Colony to accomplish when he establishes it. He desires it to be a strictly religious society that will act as an example for the rest of the colonies. Winthrop lays out a plan of exactly how he wants the colonists to act

Additionally, businesses networks around the world can be accessible virtually anytime from anywhere through assets such as Cloud Computing or virtual private networking (VPN). Today s technology has been the savior to some of the world s biggest problems in education, agriculture, transportation, Health Care and many more avenues and the main reason is because of the expansion and diversity of the Wide Area Network (WAN) networks. • 9. Ernie Pyle s Reporting War In Tunisia George Washington once said, If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel it; if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known, that we are at all times ready for War. Regardless of the consequences, one should always fight to defend their nation, and their people. It is true that warcan be evitable, but countries do not follow that path always. As much as a country tries to avoid war it is often not possible. Therefore, one must be prepared. War is far more complex to understand. It is not only a conflict between nations. Reporting war in Tunisia is a story written by author Ernie Pyle, which illustrates war to its fullest. Unlike other war stories, Reporting War... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In his story Reporting War in Tunisia, Ernie Pyle also illustrates how difficult and stressful homecoming actually is for soldiers. As it is obvious, most of the issues soldiers have while readapting to normally live are originated by the horrific realities soldiers have to deal during war those sad moments of seeing a teammate die, and seeing innocent people die, especially children. Nevertheless, Ernie Pyle states Our men cannot make this change from civilians into warriors and remain the same people. Even if they are away from you this long under normal circumstances, the mere process of maturing would change them (171). But we cannot expect less, these soldiers have experience the worst is life and Ernie Pyle reflects this in his story. Soldiers go through traumatic brain injuries, physical wounds, and emotional distress that it is easy to understand why many of them have trouble readapting. However, In his story, Ernie Pyle also depicts that although soldiers live the hardest days of their life at war, they can still take something good out of it a family. A family of soldiers that have been bounded by the atrocities of war. Soldiers should be proud of being at war because they are fighting for peace and freedom. Perhaps the dark side of war has more to it, but one should never forget why war is fought in the first place to keep
  • 10. Unfair Dismissal Of The United Kingdom In acquiescent to the definition that George has given to dismissal. I would like to integrate on the following. Unfair dismissal in the United Kingdom is a component of UK labour law that insists on fair and just and plausible treatment by employers in cases where an employee s job could be terminated. The Employment Rights Act 1996 regulates this by highlighting that employees are entitled to a fair reason afore being dismissed predicated on their capability to do the job, their conduct, whether their position is economically redundant, on grounds of a statute, or some other substantial reason. It is therefore automatically inequitable for an employer to dismiss an employee regardless of length of service, for a reason cognate to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The test is defined in section 98(4) of the Employment Rights Act 1996 as Charlotte and George have already highlighted. Above all the employer is expected to act reasonably in dismissing the employee. This principle derived originally from the case British Home Stores v Burchell [1980] ICR 303 which concluded that an employer should base a decision to dismiss on a genuine belief, based on reasonable grounds and following a reasonable investigation that there where grounds to justify dismissal. This is what is known as the range of reasonable response test. (Chris Turner, Unlocking Employment law, 1st edn, Routledge, 2013) 571).This test has been subject to criticism and the reasons are highlighted below. To begin with Tor Brodtkorb highlighting that, one of the end of unfair dismissal law at the time of its enactment was to ascent the criterion followed by employers in dismissing to offer employees greater security measures in their employment (The Report of the Royal Commission on Trade unions and Employer s Associations, 1968). My strategy will also encompass a way to build trust among the companies. The first thing would be to have Wyoff look at their technology licensing. I would ask for them to offer their technology license at a reduced rate to China LuQuan as a gesture of trust and friendship. Wyoff also must be made aware of the culture in China and the need for partners to also be friendly. China LuQuan would need to look at the product slate and become more open to a wider range of products which would show compromise on their part. With the issue of the Chinese people and employees again culture will play a role. Each of the companies must give in somewhat to achieve an agreement on each side. Possibly a 10% immediate reduction in staff and the remainder of the reduction over two years. The management could also be made up of members equally from both companies. The percentage of ownership should also be examined and a 50 50 ownership should be developed as a move in the right direction to doing business in China. Cultural differences play a very big role when looking at China and the United States. • 16. Classical Liberalism And The Enlightenment Paper #1: Classical Liberalism Classical liberalism is the transition from focusing on government to focusing on the rights of individuals. This transition came about during the time of the Enlightenment in the eighteenth century. The Enlightenment period was when man started to have more faith in his own reasoning. People began to look for evidence on their beliefs themselves and to find proof on these beliefs, so that they could come up with their own opinions on things. One way that they did this was by going back and rereading Roman and Greek texts and retranslating these texts. This new way of thinking also caused the Protestant Reformation to occur. Some of the most influential Enlightenment writers were John Locke, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, and the people of France s National Constituent Assembly. John Locke was one of the most influential writers during the Enlightenment period, and was the first Enlightenment Thinker . Locke is the author of the Two Treatises and believed that every person was born with natural rights such as: life, liberty, and property (Locke). These rights were meant for everyone, and not just the nobility or wealthy. Locke uses references from the Bible throughout the Two Treatises stating that God created man without any state of inferiority (Locke). This disproves the idea of Divine Right given from God that many countries in Europe had been participating in. John Locke also discussed the importance of The Beginning of

The Fun Center aims to provide children with an exciting and safe place to have fun by providing an array of arcade games, food and beverages, and event hosting. We made no changes to the general premise of the Business Plan, but rather we fine tuned the aspects we felt lacked clarity. The gaps that we originally identified in the first version of the Business Plan were minor and posed little threat to the company s overall success. However, we felt that The Fun Center s lack of distinctiveness would limit the company in terms of potential growth. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Recommendation 1: Market to Children and Parents Our analysis of the Business Model Canvas has revealed a minor hole in the channels section. We feel as though the company s business plan failed to account for a very significant customer segment: kids. Currently, marketing is directed towards arcade enthusiasts and middle to upper class adults. The hope is that parents will be intrigued by the company s value and bring their children to the arcade. However, considering that the value proposition seeks to serve children ages 5 12 as a target customer segment, the Business Model Canvas would suggest that a channel should exist to directly connect The Fun Center s value to children. In addition to advertising to adults with traditional methods, we recommend that The Fun Center also market directly to children in order to improve reputation and garner more interest. For example, advertising The Fun Center on children s shows and radio stations will communicate to children in ways that are already familiar and comfortable to them. According to small business advice from Hearst newspapers, it would cost 200 to 1,500 dollar to commercially advertise The Fun Center on a local station, a small investment for a large long term benefit (Wagner, 2015). I did not expect much from a museum in Sacramento, I was thinking more like gold rush memorabilia or Sutter household items. In short, I love the place. I did not get the meaning of quite a few of the modern paintings, ok, all of them. I wanted to hear more about the story of the family, Judge, and Mrs. E. B. Crocker and how and why they were so generous with their artwork. We first started in the new part of the house, where the modern art is displayed, and then we proceeded to go to the older part, which is inside two old houses, so I loved seeing all the old architecture and walking through all the rooms imagine what it was like when people lived there. This pulls the viewer to this spot, which is rather unimportant in the image, while the focus should be on the woman. This piece successfully utilizes hatching, black placement, and has reproduced a character who is identifiable. The hatching in the cloak of the character shows directionality without becoming too complicated can being distracting. The black placement in the cloak weights the character provides ground for him and the mailbox to sit on. The reproduction of a character is sometimes difficult to achieve without matching a certain style. Severin successfully achieves drawing Bilbo Baggins and having him recognizable, despite the name on the mail box to push recognition. The weakest aspect of the piece is acting. Bilbo is stiff, and white he is in the act of taking the mail out of the mailbox, he breaks the fourth wall by looking at the viewer. It would be more successful acting if he was looking at the action he was performing. The strongest aspect of this piece is line direction. In the water they encircle the action, and in the rocks they lead the viewer down into the water. They also aid in the creation of texture, rhythm, pattern, and framing. The texture created by the lines in the water reflect ripples that would actually occur in the real world.

The Genocide And Its Impact On The World s Existence Before the class began this semester, I was unaware of all the genocide cases and their concepts that constitute what a genocide truly is that have occurred within the world s existence. The UN Convention defines the term genocide (rape and killing) into five specific categories of the terminology. Out of the five elementsdescribed, the first, second, and fourth elements are the categories that I mostly saw demonstrated throughout the studies that we discussed within the class. These elements proclaim that genocidemeans the killing, causing of serious bodily or mental harm, and the imposing of measures intended to prevent births, all within the specific targeted group. These demonstrate the main attributing factors that not only occur within a genocide as it is undergoing, but also the notions behind why the genocide occurred to begin with. My initial knowledge of what attributes to genocide has increased not only from the chapter or the eye witness accounts, but also from the class discussions that allow for ones minds to further analyze why certain majorities of civilians believe they can control and target the rest of the country s civilization. My knowledge has increased not only on how it occurs within different countries (especially the minority countries) but also how there is a need for prevention of genocide. Before this class, the only true genocide that I had been introduced to was the Holocaustthat not only targeted the Jews, but also the Gypsies and the

These feelings of loneliness and depression manifest themselves in her lyric poems through her use of emotional diction and her employment of simple imagery. Sara Teasdale, born in 1884 in St. Louis, Missouri, grew up to be an incredibly famous poet. Her father, John Warren Teasdale, provided a middle class life for his family. Sara s mother, Mary Elizabeth Teasdale, focused on their family s image. Sara lived a sheltered and spoiled life. A summary of the entire poem, this quote works to show that she experienced much love throughout her life, however fleeting the love had been. This poem reflects Sarah s mentality that love should be an experience. Jessie B. Rittenhouse wrote about Teasdale s collection Love Songs, stating that Teasdale s work seemed effortless. Rittenhouse believed Teasdale s lyrical style just flowed from her lips. Calling Teasdale s poems impulsive, Rittenhouse believed these poems to be simply composed casual responses to the emotional trials in Teasdale s life (Rittenhouse 425). Another critic, Louis Untermeyer, believed Teasdale s Flame and Shadow Collection to be completely different from her old works. Untermeyer suggested Teasdale wrote this collection to branch out. While the subject of her poems remained the same, Teasdale tried something new in regards to style. Untermeyer criticised that Teasdale limited herself too much in her subject matter, and could have benefited from making alterations there, as well as in her style.Untermeyer also commented that Teasdale became more flexible with her new style, refusing to stick to regular patterns (Untermeyer

Some of the major failures that my group talked about was the forced sterilization, state of emergency, religious divide, censorship and corruption. The mass forced sterilization was ultimate failure in my eyes and as I talked about prior a major human rights violation. Interestingly, Indira Gandhi had no gender policy during her reign. One would think that a women politician would want to address so many of the problems that plague women on a daily basis. If I was a women in India during the time where Indira Gandhi came to power, I would have been devastated that she was not interested in improving women s rights. Indira also reinforced the religious divide within India, especially for the Sikhs. She ended up exacerbating tensions in the region, which ultimately lead to her demise. While she did have a lot of failures, this weeks class helped bring to light some of her successes as well. Prior to this class I only really thought of her failures and even during class my group had a hard time coming up with anything. I think her lack of credentials and her short sidedness made her ill prepared to be a ruler. A viewer must experience a work of art and connect to it in order for it to be considered effective. Aristotle, one of the most renowned Greek philosophers, believes in this idea and that is why Ajax by Sophoclescan be considered a work of art. Sophocles play follows a warrior named Ajax who was threatening to kill Odysseus to obtain the armor he believed was rightfully his, which causes the goddess Athena to cast a curse leaving him blind with rage and in a state where he slaughters hordes of animals believing that they are his enemies. Ajax later becomes distraught to the point of suicide. Bryan Doerries produced a version of Ajax to relate to veterans through his company, Theater of War. This company s specific purpose is to de stigmatize psychological injury, increase awareness of post deployment psychological health issues, disseminate information regarding available resources, and foster greater family community, and troop resilience through the performance of Ancient Greek plays to military and civilian communities (Outside the Wire). Because of this purpose, the audience is able to form an intense connection with Ajax and fulfill the purpose of art. While looking at Aristotle s Theory of Tragedyand the six most important features of a tragedy, it becomes apparent that connection in all six features is the only way to create effective art. In the book Lynchings in Duluth, this fact is evident through people unwilling to go against the crowd. When describing the scene of the lynching, the author states, from the streets and sidewalks, other men grabbed onto the rope and marched behind, encouraging others to join. The procession grew rapidly. Young men barely out of high school were urging older men to come with them (Fedo 47). Although some men were very passionate about the cause, others were only participating as a result of peer pressure. Not enough people were willing to stand up against the majority, so they let it happen.

Its pretty much an electromagnetic radiation left over from an early stage of the universe in the Big Bang cosmology (Edel Fletcher, 2017). 9.Then in 1980, a fellow professor called Alan Guth who proposed the idea of inflation, a process where the universe extremely undergo a rapid expansion after the event of the big bang (Edel Fletcher, 2017). 10.1989, the time when the Cosmic Microwave Background Explorer Satellite was launched (Edel Fletcher, 2017). 11.Lastly, the future, 2020. The predictable year of when the future cosmologist would be developing an even deeper understanding of how everything
  • 52. Scientific Perspectives The topic of touch is approached with many different perspectives. Phillip s psychoanalytic point of view is that tickling is a common interaction between a child and their parent and that it is an acceptable sensual experience for them. Howes and Classen discuss how tactile relationships between children and their parents went from being acceptable to rare and then back to being a norm. In the scientific perspective, Montagu argues that the touch of a mother early on in a child s life has a major impact on their adult sex lives. The psychoanalytic, historical and scientific perspectives have similarities and differences when it comes to touch. Adam Phillips discusses how tickling is a form of contact between a child and their parent. What makes tickling unique in terms of touch is that it is difficult to tickle oneself and receive the same effect. A child who begins to do things on his own such as eating still cannot tickle himself in the same way a parent or sibling would. Phillip s uses Darwin s philosophy on tickling to further his argument.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Montagu, a child with inadequate physical touch with a mother will likely affect their sexual behavior later in life. The more physical relations that a child receives, the more comfortable they will be with that interaction as an adult. In relation to Phillips, tickling is an acceptable form of sensuous (9) touch between a child and their parent. Phillip s considers the idea that tickling is a sensual and erotic act and to tickle is to seduce, often by amusement. (10) Freud refers to tickling as corresponding with stroking which is a part of the child s ordinary sensuous life. (10) Therefore both authors are arguing that touch, like stroking and tickling, are an appropriate form of touch and can help a child develop natural sexual
  • 53. Nurs6531 Week 1 Case Study Discussion Week Four # 2 NURS6531, N 8 As a provider, one will care for many patients that have different types of anemia. Anemia is not so much as a disease as a symptom of an underlying issue. Although there can be particular signs and symptoms associated with anemia, the basis of a diagnosis is from laboratory data. For the purpose of this discussion, I will evaluate a case study and give a differential diagnosis. I will also assess how patient history, physical exam, and lab reports support my diagnosis. I will explain the pathophysiology of the type of anemia and give causes and treatment options available. My case study is that of a 28 year old vegetarian female who presents for a routine physical. The patient has no complaints... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, absorption cannot occur in the absence of IF. Once in the circulation B12 binds to a transport protein and is taken to the liver, bone marrow, and other proliferating cells. Most individuals with normal absorption have no issue acquiring the needed daily amount. The cause of Malabsorption of both folate and B12 is from lack of IF, gastric surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, and hyperthyroidism (Buttaro, Trybulski, Polgar Bailey, Sandberg Cook, 2013). Healthy adults may consider taking supplemental crystalline vitamin B12 (Stabler, 2013). However, treatment is not necessary for asymptomatic anemia. Deficiency related to IF indicates a need for 1000 mcg of B12 intramuscular injections weekly for eight weeks and then monthly for life. Treatment for macrocytic anemia resulting from folate insufficiency is 1 mg of folic acid PO daily until the patient achieves an adequate hemoglobin level and indefinitely if patient has an underlying illness or an inadequate diet (Buttaro, Trybulski, Polgar Bailey, Sandberg Cook,
