The Process Before the trial even starts, there are several things that have already
happened. The first is the arrest of the charged person. The person is arrested by police
, or he/she turns himself/herself in, based on one or more charges that have been
brought against the person. The person must then make an initial appearance
before a judge. The person must be arraigned in a timely fashion and the defendant
must then enter a plea at that hearing. If the defendant pleads guilty, there is no
need for a criminal trial as the person is admitting that they are guilty (Nolo, 2012).
If, however, the person pleads not guilty to one or more charges, the trial process
will start. At any point in the process, whether it be before the trial or during it, a
deal can be cut between the prosecutor s team and the defendant. This is often done
to avoid a lengthy and expensive trial and the defendant often gets some form of
lenciency if they do plead guilty. Leniency can come in the form of less time overall,

The chamber music concert was held in Manhattan School of Music at 5:00 pm
Friday, April 15. The concert was conducted by many instruments with various types
of music. The atmosphere was fairly intense as the concert hall was approximately
the size of an average home living room with about 35 people in the audience. The
camber concert was divided into two major parts with an intermission of 15 minutes
in between the parts. As for this concert report I would like to focus on primarily the
music pieces I ve liked and the experience I have had.

The distance from the performer and the audience was so close, allowing you to

demonstrative, and very well organized as I first entered the entrance. I could feel
electrify with many extreme bright lights hanged on the top, which made me felt
more exciting. There were many types of people coming in this concert including
teenager and elderly. This concert was conducted by Dr. Nicholas Muni from MSM
Symphonic Band with one of the talented musicians from PCSl High School, Ms.

Book Review Poetry is a form of art that serves the purpose to express the writer s
opinions, and also combat oppressive forces without the use of any physical force.
These writers can relate to the expression by the playwright and novelist Edward
Bulwer Lytton in the play Cardinal Richelieu, The pen is mightier than the sword
(BBC); this expression serves as a metaphor in its own right as the nature describes
the effect of words to provide a stronger impact on the intended audience than any
kind of violence would. This term ties in perfectly with the ideas of Chicanx; the
Chicanx perspective of life is oppression and the dangers of racial tensions and
manners to dethrone those who impose that on others. They have long fought
against the unfair forces that have come against them, and have been involved in
many violent forms of protest. With Cesar Chavez becoming more invested in the
peaceful form of protesting to gain trust and momentum in the campaigns they were
in, more and more writers began to express their feelings and place their own two
cents into the mixture of ideas. Often long stories are made in effort to express a
personal form of how life is changing and growing fears are turning into, however
some writers chose to use poetry as their version of a weapon against the oppressing

Opera, as with any theatrical production is often indicative of some societal norm
or expectation. However, Opera Buffa, as with any satire generally reaches into the
outcasts of society to find humor in the contrasts with the norms . Interestingly,
these comedic teachings often turn into the norms of tomorrow. These can go from
political beliefs, drugs, clothing, hairstyles, relationships, anything that is different
than expected. To help better explain this let us look at a modern example. I Love
Lucy is a television show that showed humor with a whacky wife expanding her
horizons as she wandered into a world mainly for men. It is true that women had
been given the right to vote decades before but is wasn t until the need for more
female worker during World War II that women began to find their way out of the
home. It was the exploring of these boundaries that made part of the comedy.
We also find these explorations in Le Nozze di Figaro, a comedy that visited that
day and reached for the next. It was written in a time when serfdom and the
aristocracy were becoming obsolete. In fact, shortly after the writing of the
