Pripadnik Društva “Medulić” rodio
se 13. listopada 1879. godine u
Novom Marofu. Tu je proveo prvih
šest godina života, a nakon toga se
zajedno s roditeljima preselio u
Ivanec. Nakon Učiteljske škole u
Zagrebu (1898.), odlazi u Beč
studirati slikarstvo. Nakon
neuspjeha pri upisu na Akademiju,
upisuje se u privatnu likovnu školu
von Streblowa od 1901.-1903.,
potom Akademiju u Pragu kod V.
Bukovca 1903.-1905. i Beču kod W.
Ungera (1906.). Ne završivši škole
odlučio se na lutanje po europskim
metropolama. Živio je u Munchenu,
Ženevi, Rimu, a.-1920.). 1920.
vraća se u domovinu te živi u
Zagrebu i Splitu. Umro je 21.
kolovoza 1982. godine u Splitu.
