This method statement outlines the process for refurbishing an agricultural laboratory at the University of Liberia. It details steps including a pre-demolition survey, demolition of walls, excavation of foundations, construction, and supervision by consultants. Personnel will include engineers, laborers, and first-aiders. Scaffolding will be erected securely and dust/debris controlled. Work hours will be 8am-5pm Monday-Saturday with an hour lunch break. Equipment such as excavators and demolition machines will be used. Security and a warehouse will be provided on site, and health and safety will be a high priority.
Project Execution Plan for High Rise BuildingDavid H Moloney
The purpose of this presentation is to give an understanding of the Methods, Plant and Sequence to construct a high-rise building.
This presentation can be used to engage Stakeholders and to get the Site Teams commitment to the programme. Also can be used for Induction Training and as a way to capture and share knowledge.
For innovation in construction, use video presentations with 3D animations to plan and communicate how a project will be carried out and the timeline. This presentation can be used to communicate with the Client, Stakeholders and Site Team.

Project Stages
Chapter 5
Project StagesThis chapter introduces you to the people, activities, and requirements that must be coordinated to execute the construction project. This chapter focuses on the stages of the design and construction process.
The Design and Construction Process
The design and construction of buildings, bridges, and roadways follow a consistent linear path from initial concept to occupancy.
The Design StageProgramming and feasibilityDone prior to design and engages the owner to clarify needs.Schematic designFirst step of the creative process consisting of sketches that identify preliminary design characteristics. Design development (DD)Detail work of the design occurs here. Selection of material, equipment and systems to go into the building.Contract documents (CDs)Final detailed drawings known working drawings and the project specifications are known as the CD’s
Codes and Compliance IssuesThe major goal of the design team is to make the building compliant with various statutory regulationsThe duration of this process varies. It can take weeks, months, or even years. The success of the project depends on the successful execution of this stages
The Bidding StagePlans and Specifications produced for biddersThis stage is traditionally coordinated by the architect to assist the owner in contractor selectionNotice to Proceed with construction is issued to the winning contractor.
Pre-construction StageProject manager plays the lead role in assembling and orchestrating the team that will complete the job.Detailed planning is invaluable at the this stageOne of the hardest stages of the job to manageAssigning the team is dependent on the size and complexity of the job. Usually there is…
Assigning the Project Team
Team Roles Project manager (PM)Captain of the team, usually with extensive experience in construction and management. Contract administratorAssists the PM and Super with the details of the contract.SuperintendentCoordinates all of the on-site construction activities. He/she is the daily point contact for the owner other representatives.Field EngineerEntry level position that is the first step in progressing through the ranks of project management. Primarily handle paperwork such as requests for information (RFI), submittals, and shop drawings
Due DiligenceSite InvestigationLooking for hidden geological problems, hazardous material, or historical remnants that may delay or alter the job.Soil testing and engineeringShould be provided by owner, reviewed by architect for design, and used by the contractor to price and conduct work
The process of identifying any problems or areas of concern that exist and addressing them during the preconstruction phase
Value EngineeringThe point when this occurs depends on the selected delivery method.Field personnel are underutilized and can provide valuable information during this process.
T.
Pile driving management is the process of planning, executing, and overseeing the installation of piles (vertical structural elements) into the ground to provide foundational support for various construction projects. Proper management is essential to ensure that the piles are installed correctly, safely, and in accordance with engineering specifications.

Refurbishment of the Agricultural Laboratory of the University of
Liberia
· Receipt of Contract
When the contract is awarded to City construction Inc. the following will be executed in a
suitable and shortest time as per steps laid down below.
The works that will be carried comprise of the following:
· Carry out Pre-demolition and Refurbishment survey to identify all walls as shown in
dotted line and concrete shell to be clean within the existing structure to be used as
Main Laboratory Building.
· Demolition of walls, clearing and storing debris for future use if necessary and
preparation of site.
· Excavation of new foundations.
· Use of equipment to construct the existing and new buildings sub and superstructure.

3. General
This method statement has been prepared on the basis of the tender information as issued
and gives an indication of our general approach to the construction and management of
the project.
We have included our intentions for managing and supporting the project and the
particular approaches that will be taken for certain key aspects.
Pre-construction
Prior to commencement of site works, an external survey will be carried out to confirm
the existing site levels, extent of any existing services and the condition of the existing
environs.
These will be plotted on a drawing and a photographic record will be taken, which will be
maintained as a record throughout the stages of the contract.
Site Establishment Managements
The site establishment will be managed by the site supervisor who will be stationed at site until
the project is completed. He will take steps for ensuring that all resources, man and materials
are available at site in time. All of our site staff will be governed by rules and procedure of City
Construction Inc.which will include the following:
· Working conditions
· Health and safety(All of our site staff will be tested before the work commencement of
contract when awarded)
· Conduct at site
· Facilities at site
● Reporting of site activities to head office on regular basis.
Personnel
All personnel will be inducted prior to gaining access to the site. They will be informed of the
specific site rules required in the preliminaries relating to this project as well as City
Construction Inc. site rules and their own companies method statement
Listed below are key personnel that will be present on site:
