• Standard ConstructionMethod for following Items are detailed
hereunder:
Plain & Reinforced Concrete
Reinforcement Steel
Formwork
BRIEF CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY (CONTD…)
37.
Plain &Reinforced Concrete:
We intend to install project specific concrete batching plant of required
capacity within the site premises itself to suffice the requirement of
concrete involved in the scope of our work. This will help us in
monitoring the quality of concrete produced and maintained the
delivery schedule of concrete to achieve proposed time schedule.
We shall prepare mix design of different grades of concrete in our
batching plant itself taking into account the requirements stipulated in
the tender.
We have considered use of 100% crushed sand and 25% Flyash in
design Mix. Microsilica will be used in M60 and above grade of
concrete only.
BRIEF CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY (CONTD…)
38.
Plain &Reinforced Concrete (Contd…):
Delivery of structural concrete will be received in rotating drum
vehicles (transit mixers) designed for the purpose.
Placing of structural concrete will be generally by pump & crane skip,
or, in case of PCC at or below ground level, directly from the vehicle
ensuring satisfactory distribution by control of rate of discharge and
movement of chute.
Concrete will be deposited continuously or where it is not possible
efforts will be made to ensure that the previous layer is still in a plastic
state and cold joints will be avoided.
Properly trained operatives will consolidate the freshly placed concrete
by mechanical vibration equipment.
BRIEF CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY (CONTD…)
39.
Plain &Reinforced Concrete (Contd…):
Finishes to concrete will be those specified or to suite any future
application to the concrete surface.
Curing of slabs will commence immediately after placing and finishing
is complete and free surface water has disappeared. Curing of vertical
elements will commence immediately following to the removal of form
work, by approved method using water/ curing compound.
BRIEF CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY (CONTD…)
40.
Reinforcement Steel:
Preparation of BBS from Structural Drawings – Submittal & Approval.
Indenting steel required with an inventory of 4 to 6 weeks.
Installation of Bar Cutting & Bending Machines.
Control on Wastage & Collection of Scrap at Centralized Location at
Site.
Reinforcement at Higher Level – Lifted with help of other mechanical
lifting system.
BRIEF CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY (CONTD…)
41.
Formwork forStructure:
Sub Structure of Towers shall be constructed using conventional
formwork system made out of Ply, Steel or combination of either of
materials.
For Super Structure of Towers, we shall use one full floor area
Aluminium modular Formwork .
2 level back propping for Beams and 1 Level back propping for slab
area shall be provided.
Sequence of Casting has already been explained in earlier slides.

INTRODUCTION
The primary objectiveof our organization is to ensure effective control and elimination of accident in all job sites, and
to maintain a conducive environment and infrastructural facilities at work places with due consideration for occupational
health and safety legislation.
OBJECTIVE
To establish & define chain of command for resolution of all the hazard prevention issues.
To define individual hazard prevention & safety promotional responsibilities at each level of the construction job for
the team.
To identify highly hazardous operations within the scope of work and specify integrated preventive measures to
mitigate the same.
To determine broad parameters of safety management at the site level.
TARGET
Weighted Accident Frequency Rate ( WAFR ) - Zero
Severity Rate - Zero
Accident Incidence Rate ( AIR ) - Zero
Total Man-days Lost ( TMDL) - Zero
Dangerous Occurrence - Nil
Fire & Explosions - Nil
Environmental Incidents - Nil
SITE SAFETY COMMITTEE
A safety committee will be formed to review the implementation of safety issues and safety requirement.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The levels of noise, vibration, illumination, heat and the presence of dust, fumes, gases or vapor etc. which may affect
safety & health in the work places should be maintained within the acceptable limit.
WASTE DISPOSAL PLAN
A number of PVC trash beans / drum shall be provided at each work site / front, offices and other locations wherever
required for collecting garbage / waste.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT ACTION PLAN
44.
INVESTIGATION & ANALYSISOF ACCIDENT / INJURIES / DANGEROUS OCCURANCE / NEARMISS
A check will then be conducted on the entire construction area to ensure that it is safe and that the likelihood of a
recurrence is eliminated. Unsafe conditions found are to be immediately remedied.
FIRST - AID FACILITIES AND MEDICAL TREATMENT
Each worksite shall be equipped with its own first aid box, which will be sufficient to accommodate the particular
worksites / front.
Medical causality evacuation and treatment procedures involving the nearest clinic / Hospitals shall be instituted.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENTS
While at work site all personnel including visitors & suppliers shall wear the basic PPE i.e. hardhat and safety footwear
as minimum requirement. Appropriate and approved personal protective equipment and protective clothing shall be used
depending upon the nature of work performed i.e. Job specific PPE.
GROUP RISK ASSESSMENT (GRA) AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CONTROL MEASURES
Identify the hazards
Corrective and Preventive Action on the Recommendations & Control Measures
SPECIFIC WORK HAZARDS AND THEIR CONTROL MEASURES
Based on the risk assessment probable work hazards of the aforesaid scope are identified and required control measures
are elaborated below.
HSE PROMOTIONAL SCHEME
Induction Training
