Question 5
HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ ADDRESS
       YOUR AUDIENCE?
Characters

We have addressed our audience by using
actors which would appeal to the audience of
a youth culture film. We used young males
handling drugs, dressed in tracksuits and who
love music to attract the young male audience
as these things are a common representations
within this target audience. We used a young
attractive female who is presentable and
dressed nicely, with an interest in music which
would attract both males (through attraction
and shared interests) and females (being able
Plot

We also used the plot to attract both a male
and female audience. The plot involves gang
life, music, romance and problems which are
 all common factors of typical
 youth/teenagers life so its becomes
appealing to them. The outcome hasn’t been
made obvious to the audience which makes
them more eager to watch on and discover
 what happens.
Location

The location of our film also helps to attract
our audience as it is set in a school, most
 people within our target audience
(teenagers) can relate to this because they
go to school or have done so recently. The
music studio will also help to attract our
target audience especially those who also
have a passion for music. The location has
an urban feel to it, this is reflected by Ali's
character, however it also has a suburban
feel to it because of my character (Flo).
Special effects

Lastly the special effects help to attract our
audience as they make the view of the
young males life distorted which makes the
audience want to find out more about him so
will want to carry on watching the film. The
 blur also foreshadows possible disruption
 later on in the film.
