The filmmakers aimed to attract a wider audience by subverting stereotypes in the action/crime genre. They created a film dominated by female characters who are fully covered, rather than using sexualized female characters. They also combined elements of action and crime genres to appeal to fans of both. The film features fast-paced, tense music created in GarageBand to draw viewers in. Neutral color schemes and edgy fonts were used to attract both male and female viewers. The film includes plot twists and cliffhangers, like revealing the police were mistaken about the burglars' location, to create excitement and make the story memorable.

• In our film we have gone against the stereotype of women in action/crime
genres. Usually the males dominate this particular genre and the women are
the side kicks or love interests and are dressed in clothing that would show a
lot of flesh. However in our film there are no males at all and it is female
dominated , the females are covered up from head to toe. This would
hopefully attract a wider female audience as we have been different.

3. Genre
• Our film isn’t one singular genre, we have combined both action and
crime(hybrid). We though this would be a good idea as it would make the
audience more interested in the film as it has variety. By doing this we can
attract a bigger audience as we will bring in fans of crime and fans of action
movies. An example of a crime/action film is Fast and Furious, this is a
hugely popular franchise with 6 films produced and the seventh currently
being made.

4. Graphics and Sound
• In typical crime/action films the music is very upbeat and fast. So in our film
we created very fast paced sound, we did this using garage band so it was
done completely by our own imagination. Having fast music makes the
audience feel like something is happening(robbery) and creates tension so the
audience is drawn into the film. The fonts we used are very edgy because our
film is not simple. The colours are not appealing to one particular gender as
yellow and red are both neutral colours so this will attract both males and
females

5. Narrative
• All crime/action films have some sort of twists or cliff hangers, so we
thought that this was an essential factor for our own film as we knew it
would create excitement and shock which would make it memorable. We did
this by throughout our film making the audience believe that the police were
on the burglars tail, however this wasn’t the case and it is revealed at the very
end that the police all along got the wrong place and the burglars got away.
