4 – Who Would Be The
Audience For Your
Media Product?

 Over half of the people we asked said thrillers appealed to
them. The majority were female and were interested in
      storyline and character.
 Based on this, we wanted a story rather that an image based
opening. The story was integral to the opening.
 The research also showed that a 15 certificate is the most
suitable for a thriller film. The criteria fitted with the content of
our entire film. There is strong language and violence which
      are elements of a 15.
What we think based on The
BBFC
 Although there is no language, in the film
opening, violence, and use of weapons
  suggests a rating of 15.
 However, although there is threat, there is
only a small amount, and there being no
blood means that there is not a high
enough violence for it to be a 15.
 Therefore, bbfc guidelines state that the
  film would either be a 12A or a 15.

The Audience For
Your Media Product?

 We used the enigma code throughout the film; the fact that the
audience are unaware of who James is working for, why it is
such a chore and what the contents of the folder and the
    envelope are.
 This was a code/convention we believed would intrigue

the audience could relate to which intrigued the audience
