2. Feedback that I received
Music Video
Positive: The positive feedback that I received about my music video was that it had a
great concept. Other positive feedback that I received was ‘’ I like how some of the
lyrics are reflected in some of the shots, it was really good with the whole urban vibe’’
‘’I like how the long shot of London and the lights and how it shows him walking and he
looks to the sky, it shows that he is ambitious, it also relates to the lyrics’’
‘’ I like how she showed a story through the video for example when the artist talks
about someone who has died and it shows a picture of him and it blurred out and also
the bit about football, It just makes everyone understand the his story’’
‘’ I like how the video was simple and it wasn’t too complicated and it had little
elements of his life and also the temp was really good’’
Negative: The only negative feedback that I received was that I shouldn’t make my
whole music video in one colour, how I should include the black and white effect in
certain scenes to add emphasis to some of the things my artist was talking about.
3. How did you use this feedback?
The feedback that I received from my audience I took it on board with my
products, for example one of the feedback that I received when I presented
my pitch was that I should try adding black and white effects to some of the
scenes in my music video, in order to add emphasize to the important bits of
his life that he is talking about, or to the scenes when he talking about the
past and all the negative bits that happened in his life.
I also just took on board the comments in general and reflected on them to
see how I could of made the video even better or told his story even more.
4. Did you make any changes as a result of
the feedback?
I originally planned to have my video all in my one colour with no effect
added on to it. But when I presented my idea to my audience and they gave
me feedback, they suggested that I make certain scenes black and white and I
took that into consideration and made some of my scenes in black and white.
I took this on board, and made certain scenes in black and white and this
really made the video stand out even more as it highlighted and showed that
the scenes which were my artist reflecting or talking about the past.
Another change that I also made was that I kept my video very simple, I
planned to have effects in it which would of ruined the whole vibe of the
video, I was advised to just keep it plain and I done so.
5. How did the feedback help you?
The feedback that I received had a major impact on my work. This is because
I took everything that everyone said to me on board and worked on it. Me
using their feedback, I saw the difference it made on my work and the way it
added emphasis to the relevant scenes.
The feedback also helped me because it let other people see my vision and
give me there input in what they thought could be improved and what they
thought wasn’t good enough.
With everyone's feedback and advice, my vision changed and got better. It
helped me develop a much more better concept for my music video.
They audience also liked my ideas on the magazine advert and the rest of the
cd packaging. Although they are just as important as the front cover, I wanted
to make sure that the front cover stood out the most.
Feedback that I got for my magazine advert was that, I should try looking at
other artists magazine advert, artists outside of the genre of my artist.
6. The feedback that I received: Print Products
When I presented my pitch for my design of my print products to my
audience, I showed them 3 types of album covers from 3 different artists and
told them that they were for my inspiration for my music video.
Positive: Some of the positive feedback that I received from my audience
were that they liked the whole concept of my front cover, they liked how I
chose to make the front very simple focusing solely on the artist and making
him the one and only focus.
Negative: Some of the negative feedback that I received from my audience
were, I shouldn’t use much colours on the front cover of my cd as it may
distract or take away the concept.
7. How did you use this feedback
I took the feedback on board and considered all the feedback that was given
to me. For example, with the front cover of the cd packaging, I chose not to
use bright colours or to have too much going on in the background.
I also decided to look at other artists magazine advert, other than just
focusing on the artists who inspired my work.
8. Did you make any changes as a result of
this feedback
I chose to play around with the black and white effects and the saturation
and contrast rather than making the picture in colour.
I also chose to use Rihanna’s magazine advert as inspiration for my magazine
advert.
9. How did the feedback help you
Getting input from other people and hearing their views and opinions helped
me because it helped me improve the work before I made the final draft. It
also helped me design it in a way that the concept wasn’t lost.
The feedback also helped me because it let other people see my vision and
give me there input in what they thought could be improved and what they
thought wasn’t good enough.
