Free Radical Research Paper
Free radicals are groups of atoms, molecules, or ions that possess an unpaired/unshared valence
electron in their electron orbitals. Due to this, many radicals are very reactive because they want
to reach a stable state. They can be classified as oxidants or reductants depending on whether they
accept electrons from other atoms or donate atoms. Free radicals can be produced by natural
processes such as metabolism. They are also generated from foods that we eat, water, medication,
etc.
Free radicals are essential to the human body because they are important components of the
immune system and they also assist the body with the production of chemical energy. However,
they can be dangerous. A free radicalcan take an an electron from another

American Women Issues
Women all around the world have done a lot of sacrifices to get both name and fame in the
world. Some of the examples are Ellen Degeneres, Oprah Winfery, Kalpana Chawla, Janet
Jackson etc. These women helped a lot for uplifting the women status in the entire world and
most of the girls follow their footprints to get famous like them in future. But still there are a lot
of women who are working in fields, as a maid worker and in industries in poor condition. These
women are facing problems such as sexual abuse, harassment and high level of violence. In this
reaction paper I will be discussing about the sexual abuse, health issues due to sexual favours,
harassment and high level of violence that women have to go through every day in order to... Show

They should not be treated by men like an object to satisfy their sexual desires. Education can help
women to get out of this dirty situation. Therefore every country should educate their female
population so that they can contribute to economy of the country and can run their family on their
own and do not have to become slave of the men. Also heavy fines should be imposed to those who
sexually abuse, violate and harass women.

Rembrandt Self Portrait Analysis
1.Rembrandt Self Portrait with a Wide Brimmed Hat 1632
In the Baroque period, artists started to depict themselves as the main subject matter more often.
Rembrandt had painted a lot of self portraits in his entire life. In his self portrait did in 1632,
Rembrandt is the focus and he is dressed fashionably. Like most of the self portraits in Baroque,
he only painted his upper body so his face can be seen clearly. At the age of 26, Rembrandtshowed
a sense of youth and pride in his gaze. The painting is done in a realistic way which the details of
clothing can be seen clearly. Back in the time when camera did not exist, painting is the only way
to capture the world in graphics. Self portrait is the record of a person s physical appearance. At that
period, self portrait was not only appreciated as art but also a record of the people and the society.
2.Van Gogh Self Portrait with Bandaged Ear 1889
At the 19th century, the invention of camera has provided an easier and faster way to keep records.

The Fax Machine – A Constantly Evolving Technology...
Despite the availability of advanced modern day technologies for transferring documents
worldwide, the fax machine, a technology developed way back in 1843, continues to persist in
homes and offices even today. Considering the fact that this technology is more than a century old,
it should have already joined the telegraphs and pagers in antique shops by now. Surprisingly
however, instead of going obsolete, faxmachines have continued to evolve, adapt and conform to
the requirements of modern telecommunications. The fax machine had already made its mark as an
office workhorse back in the 1980s, and has continued to appear on business cards ever since!
Although threatened by far more advanced and preferable technologies like scanners,... Show more

Newspapers and weather services were the earliest users of fax machines for transferring
photographs and weather maps across the world. The use of fax machines was however limited
because of their expensive nature and difficulty of operation. However, by 1980, telephone
based fax machines had gained immense popularity because of their reduced prices and fixed
Grade 3 standards of operation. About a million fax machines were sold in 1988 alone, and they
became the fastest selling machines adorning homes and office desktops word wide. Fax
machines proved to be of immense utility to the Japanese. The Japanese alphabet has thousands of
characters, and keypads can only afford a limited number of keys. Fax machines provided the
Japanese an easy way to transfer their written documents. According to the American facsimile
association, about 50% of all calls made in the 1980s to the US from Japan were to fax machines.
Frank Vizard, contributing editor of the Popular Mechanics magazine, writes that increasing
popularity of fax machines blurred the line between the home and the office, as business
documents could easily be faxed to homes within seconds. People dealt with work related
documents from the comforts of their homes. Fax machines soon replaced postal mailboxes and
reduced the time of delivery of documents. This was both a convenience as well as an
inconvenience, as people could no longer find an excuse

Personal Statement Of A Business
It s critical for business owners and accountants see how to peruse and translate balance sheets.
These records offer a snappy perspective of a business financial standing. Without this depiction,
business owners and accountants may settle on choices that have negative repercussions on their
organizations financial standing. A balance sheetis one of a few noteworthy financial statementsyou
can use to track spending and profit. Also called a statement of financial position, a balance sheet
demonstrates what your organization claims and what it owes through the date recorded, as
Accounting Coach expressed. It shows this data regarding your organization s advantages,
liabilities, and value. Assets are any things your business claims. Liabilities are payment
installments your business needs to make. Equity is the sum your business shareholders own. On a
balance sheet, the assets are in a perfect world equivalent to, or offset, the liabilities and the equity

Gender Bias In Sports Essay
Highly accomplished female athletes are often infantilized by sport commentators by referring to
them as girls or
young ladies whereas skilled male athletes are rarely (if ever) referred to as boys (Messner et al.,
1993; Wensing Bruce,
2003). A recent headline in the UK s Daily Mail regarding the Sochi Olympics read, Curl power:
Girls sweep their way to bronze as Britain equals its best ever Winter Olympics tally (Daily Mail
Reporter, 2014). Not surprisingly, the malecurlers were not referred to as boys when they won a
silver medal the next day.
Commentators further infantilize female athletes by calling them by their first name only whereas
this rarely occurs with male athletes. Messner et al. (1993) found that women s ... Show more

For example, Billings (2007) examined the media commentary for men s and women s diving,
gymnastics, swimming, and track and field competitions during the 2004 Summer Olympics and
discovered that gender biased commentary occurred more often in the sports considered artistic
(e.g., gymnastics, diving) with the greatest gender bias between men and women s gymnastics.
Similarly, Angilini, Billings, and MacAuthor (2013) found the greatest amount of gender biased
commentary in figure skating in their examination of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Typically, the negative framing described in the previous paragraphs occurs alongside positive
narratives. Duncan and
Hasbrook (1988) used the term ambivalence to describe media accounts about female athletes that
present such mixed messages. As Eagleman (2013) described, it is coverage that appears positive at
first glance, but actually includes words, phrases, or themes that subtly belittle women (p. 4). It is
used to simultaneously acknowledge the changing norms regarding women s involvement in sport
and yet resist major changes to the status quo by artfully undermining

Climbing a Tree in A White Heron by Jewett Essay examples
Ever since the first person to climb Everest, many courageous people have been climbing,
mountains, cliffs, and canons. This one special little girl decides to climb a humble tree creating
a new journey for both the girl and the tree. In the passage The White Heron by Sarah Orne Jewett
the little girl climb a magnificent tree. The author uses languages and selection of details to make
the climbing of the tree into a dramatic adventure. The little girl is Sylvia and she is insignificant

talks about the call to adventure. Sarah begins the story with, ?Half a mile from home, at the

the great enterprise would really begin. The author gives many examples that show the initiation
and the road of trials of Sylvia climbing the tree. One example is, ?a bird fluttered off its nest, and
a red squirrel ran to and fro and scolded pettishly at the harmless housebreaker.? The author uses
the word housebreaker as Sylvia saying that she is invading the animals that live on the tree and
the animal think that she is an enemy. The author also uses simile to make the tree alive. The
author wrote, ?The sharp dry twigs caught and held her and scratched her like angry talons.? The
author compares the tree to a talon. The author?s language greatly compares Sylvia and the tree
that make this story a dramatic adventure. The passage says that Sylvia has thin little fingers
clumsy and stiff compares to the tree?s great stem. Sylvia did not give up and she climbs until it

Discussion of Virtue in Meno by Socrates
Plato reveals the views of Socrates on the query of whether virtue is knowledge and whether virtue
may be taught in a number of dialogues, mainly in Meno. In the dialogue, Socrates creates several
differing arguments on virtue, which include the definition of virtue and questions on whether
persons can attain it. In addition, Platodemonstrates the means by which virtuecan be obtained, as
well as ponders on whether persons are born virtuous, whether virtue may be taught or it is an
added factor for righteous individuals (Novelguide.com n.pag.). The paper will focus on
Socrates query of whether virtue is knowledge as well as highlight whether virtue may be taught.
After Meno asks his initial question, that is whether a person can be able to be taught virtue, or a
person can gain the same through nature, Socrates assents to continue but argues that a common
understanding is required since neither of them could be capable of comprehensively explaining
the meaning of virtue. Then Meno was made to consent that if virtue is not knowledge then one
cannot be taught virtue. However, if it is knowledge, it can be taught (Holbo and Waring).
Socrates asserts that a person can teach something only if he or she is acquainted with what it is
that he/she is teaching. A person who does not know how to drive a vehicle himself of herself is
unlikely to be capable of teaching another person how to do so. Meno and Socrates fully agree that
no one exactly knows what virtue means, and due to

Dienophile, N-Methylmaleimide
For this study, each group had the same dienophile, N methylmaleimide, but different dienes,
anthracene 9 methanol or anthracene 9 carboxaldehyde. Initial reaction conducted with anthracene
9 methanol and N methylmaleimide was successful in generating a generous amount of product;
however, due to errors performed during the purification method by recrystallization, some product
was lost, thereby resulting in a low yield. Upon completion of the reaction, the Diels Alder adduct
was subjected to analysis by NMR spectroscopy, specifically, Proton NMR. The percent yield of
this reaction was expected to be high, however, the reaction yielded a percent yield of 4.88%, which
is significantly low. Typically, a low percent yield is an indication of an inefficient reaction;
however, in this case, this cannot be concluded due to errors that occurred during the reaction.
Theoretically, dienophiles and dienes can have different electron donating and electron withdrawing
substituents, thereby changing either can impact the percent yield of the reaction. An electron
donating substituents on the diene will increase the percent yield as the chances of the reaction
occurring is increased with the increase in the number of electron donating groups. The Reverse is

Business Law Mistake
Introduction
In the Law of Contract the phrase mistake Misrepresentation is applied when one or both parties of
a contract act under a false or mistaken understanding.
Mistake can be defined by Pendleton , Vickery (1998), [1] as; вћў A misunderstanding regarding a
fact, causing one or more parties to hold disagreeing beliefs about the foundation of a contract.
Mistakes can be made in the form of a contracts subject matter or as a mistake of identity. There are
3 different types of mistake in Contract Law. вћў Common Mistake (Subject) вћў Mutual Mistake
(Subject) вћў Unilateral Mistake (Identity)

вћў Voidable
On the other hand if the contract is deemed voidable due to misrepresentation the contract still
exists and the good title is passed from the first party to the crook who then passes the good title
on the an innocent third party (as long as the innocent third party paid a reasonable price for the
goods, if they did not pay a reasonable price the court will find they did not have good faith and the
contract is therefore void). In a case like this the only thing the plaintiff can do is find the crook and
sue him for the amount lost.
There are two ways a court will decide if the contract is made void for mistake or not. If the
contract was made face to face or at a distance (eg. on the phone or by letter) вћў At a distance
This was first applied in the case Cundy v Lindsay (1878)[10] where a crook had pretended to be a
regular customer of the company and ordered a substantial amount of goods. Once in possession of
the goods he sold them on to an innocent third party who bought them at a reasonable price (good
faith). The company then took action against the innocent third party under the grounds of mistake.
It was held in this case that the plaintiff was mistaken as to the identity of the crook and the contract
was made void, on the grounds that the plaintiff thought they

also teaches kids life lessons like how to listen, how to be kinder, and other non intellectual

so it is bad, but school is not the key place of social interaction. Friends meet all over the place like
church or at the store. Another claim that tries to prove Sesame Street is helpful is that the learning
and benefits do not last for a long time. That is not the point Sesame Street tries to make,
otherwise they would have based the show on something older children would like. The reason
that the benefits of the show are not long term are because the kids who watch Sesame Street
grow out of it and no longer like or prosper from the show. Also, the teachings in the show only
go to a certain grade level, after that, it is the same level of learning. The purpose of Sesame

How The Army s Move A New Construct On How It Trains And...
The Army is in a period of transitioning to a new construct on how it trains and employs Brigade
Combat Teams (BCTs). This new idea is called Regionally Aligned Forces (RAFs). The basic
concept for RAFs is to align BCTs to a Combatant Commander (COCOM) for use as needed by
that COCOM. By being aligned to a COCOM, the BCT and its respective Soldiers will receive
specific region cultural and language training and also be provided specific training focus as
determined by that COCOM. On a rotational basis units within those regionally aligned BCTs
will deploy to their designated region to support the COCOM and in return the unit and Soldiers
receive invaluable experiences and realistic training. This essay is to discuss how the Army s
move to RAFs is a great strategic move for the Army on many fronts. Listed are a few of the
fronts that the transition to regionally aligned forces addresses. As the Army draws down its
forces in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) it has to find ways to remain relevant and useful in
a time of budget reductions, smaller conflicts and greater uncertainty across the Department of
Defense (DoD). With the reduction in size of the Army and the contraction of forces stationed
abroad, there needs to be a plan to address this cultural exposure our forces are losing. In addition,
the Army needs to preserve the lessons learned over a decade at war and not fall back into a
garrison mindset where realistic training becomes unrealistic and worthless.

The Americans With Disabilities Act ( Ada )
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) strictly prohibits discrimination and ensures equal
opportunity for persons with disabilities in employment, State and local government services,
public accommodations, commercial facilities and transportation. 1 This law, enacted in 1990, was
created so that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else in
society so that they don t get left behind. The ADA gives civil rights protections to those with
disabilities in a similar way to other characteristics that individuals may have, whether it is race,
nationality, gender, age and/or religion.2
The ADA is split into five titles, each having a different sect of society they relate to. Title I refers
to employment, meaning that employment opportunities and benefits should be equally accessible
for people with or without a disability. Title II refers to state and local government, meaning that any
governing body must not discriminate against those with disabilities when it comes to programs,
activities or services they offer. This portion ensures that architectural barriers to be identified, such
as barriers with public transportation systems. Title III refers to public accommodations including
privately owned and operated places such as restaurants, hotels, schools, stadiums, etc. These
facilities are required to meet minimum specifications when built and existing buildings must
remove any barriers that they can in order to accommodate for people

Romeo And Juliet Forbidden Love
Examine the theme of love in Romeo and Juliet. How does Shakespeare explore this theme? In
William Shakespeare s play written in 1595, Romeo and Juliet explores the theme of love, as the
two star crosses lovers who come from two different conflicting families that hate each other s
guts, yet fate brings them together and despite the grudge that each family holds for the other.
Young Romeo is seen though impulsive and immature, his idealism and passion make him an
extremely likable character. He lives in the middle of a violent feud between his family and the
Capulets, but he is not at all interested in violence. Meanwhile, Juliet appears to be just another teen
girl infatuated with a young boy. Forbidden Love: As the feud between the... Show more content on

Montague is a good father and he asks Benvolio to discover Romeo s problem. Romeo, of course,
is the victim of unrequited love. Lord Capulet also shows signs of being a good father. When
Count Paris asks for Juliet s hand in marriage, Capulet displays his concern for his daughter by
urging Paris to win her love. Juliet s happiness is important and he will not agree to marry her
unless she is satisfied with the choice. He tells Paris in Act I, Scene 2, But woo her, gentle Paris,

obviously very loving toward Juliet. In Act I, Scene 3, she talks about how she literally nursed

The Causes And Effects Of Gangs In South America
One of the most death defying acts that occur across the whole globe are gangs. These gangs
travel coast to coast trying to kidnap, rob, murder, deal drugs, and even cause atrocities. One of the
biggest problems plaguing South America are these gang related issues. Nobody is attempting to
stop these gangs due to their vast amount of power. In fact, Donald Trump, and the United Statesare
making an effort to deport all of the MS 13 members and get them out of the country. Otherwise,
nobody is trying to stop them and they will just keep gaining more and more power as time goes
on. The biggest problem with these gangs is what they are causing and the effects that they give
off. They are scaring people away by their appearance, people are hearing on the news that these
gangs are spreading and how they are hotwiring cars, and stealing purses. Within the first two
months of 2016, there has been a record of 1,399 murders just caused by gangs. There is also an
average of 24 murders per day, within just this country. The most dangerous gangs in El
Salvador are spreading all over the world which is why this is a global issue. The two gangs that
are being researched were created around 1960 to 1980. These gangs were first founded in the
barrios of Los Angelesand were spread all the way to South and Central America. Barrios are
neighborhoods or streets in spanish speaking countries. This is where most South American gangs
were created. These gangs are made up of South American

Compare And Contrast Between The Crystal Structures
Paragraph 1: Compare and Contrast between the crystal structures
In this paragraph, we will be comparing between the crystal chemistry of the О± and ОІ FePO4,
describing the crystallochemical relationship between the structure and how the structures are
temperature dependent. As FePO4 distinguishes itself from the other isotypes because the ion at the
cathode is a transition metal. Transition metals have very low ionization energies, and often high
melting and boiling points. When the temperature changes from 294K to 1073K, we observed a
structural change of the FePO4 compound. During low temperatures, the compound (О± FePO4)
takes on a tetrahedral shape and as the compound heats up, pressure increases, the compound will
transform into an octahedral ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The tilt angle of the tetrahedral would undergo tetrahedral distortion, with the bond length and
angle of P O bond changing as well. Using neutral powder diffraction, we observed the iron
phosphate quartz structure as the compound s form changes as temperature goes from 294K to
1073K. Due to the increasing temperature, there is low energy and high amplitude vibrations
resulting in the iron phosphate compound to expand. This is due to accommodated total neutron
scattering measurement.
When it changes from alpha to beta phase, there is a change in bond angle but no change in bond
length. As the compound slowly reaches the transition temperature of 980K, the tilt angle decreases.
Another condition is when the delta value is more than 22 degrees and theta value is less than
136 degree. Also, it is observed the Fe O bond decreases in the length, and the angle reduces as well.
Similarly, the P O bond of the phosphate ion, an increase in temperature results in a reduction of
bond length and angle too. This is line with what we had discussed earlier, on how the tilt angle of
the tetrahedral decreases when temperature rise. Nevertheless, other reasons may

Evaluation Of A Team Training Program
If I were the coach of a softball team and had to formulate a pre season, in season, and post
season work out program I would start by making a list for each to stay on track. For pre season,
things I would bullet point would be; running, weight training, skill specific sessions and
learning strategies. Next would be for in season practices and this is going to be my
maintenance phase. Last is the post season part that is focusing on getting ready for the next
year so I would bullet point these topics; weight training, running, skill specific practices, and
leave room for participation in other sports as well. A pre season training program should start 8
12 weeks prior to the first competition date (Powers 2012). This part of the season is to increase
energy systems used in this particular sport to their maximum potential. With my softball team in a
pre season session, I would start with weight training and running to increase each individual
player s strength and endurance. Strength and endurance training should be done on alternating
days to optimize strength gains but can be done together depending on what the coach is trying
to accomplish. According to Powers, if these two types of training are done together, there may
be a lower gain in strength than with only strength training itself. Things that I would like to do
for endurance with softball players would be home to outfield sprints with walk back recoveries

Casablanca Cinematography
Casablanca Cinematography
The film Casablanca directed by Michael Curtiz and released in 1943 at the height of World War
II is set in December 1941 in Casablanca, French Morocco. It is a time of escalating power of the
Nazi party, which attempted to gain control of most parts of the world starting with Europe and
Northern Africa. As a result of the ascending power of the Nazis and anti German sentiments, many
Europeans were desperate to flee their homes. Because Casablanca was not yet taken over by the
Germans due to its distance from Europe, it served as the holding place or middle ground for
those trying to escape Europe, assuming they could get there. People would travel from Europe to
Casablanca in hopes of receiving letters of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The battle of the anthems serves as a small victory for anti Germans, yet it feels empowering.
While music is essential to many scenes in the film, the absence of music in some scenes is
powerful. The scenes that are not accompanied by music, are ones in which important information
is being exchanged between characters and being revealed to the audience. In some scenes the
information is historical and in some it is vital to the plot. In one scene that does not include
music the man who murdered and stole letters of transport from German couriers confesses to
Rick and requests that Rick hold on to the letters for him. The film follows the journey of the
letters of transport, therefore it is crucial for the audience to hear and witness the trajectory of the
letters before and after they reach Rick. Music would detract from the importance of the exchange
of information in the scene. Yet, despite the lack of music in this scene, Rick hides the letters of
transport in the piano, confirming the importance of the piano and its music in the film.
Another scene that is shot without music occurs when Captain Renault informs Rick that Victor is
traveling to Casablanca with his wife and will attempt to purchase an exit visa. The Captain warns
Rick not to assist Victor in any way. Captain Renault reveals to Rick that he is aware that in the
past Rick has assisted the

Startup Expenses And Software Development
Startup Expenses
Startup expenses are defined as money that businesses spend before they even open their doors.
They are the expenses that are incurred before the business is running. In the case of GameGo, our
highest startup expenses will come from software development, advertising, and licensing fees.
Software Development Expense
The most important factor in the launch of GameGo is the software development. Bernard
Kohan, a mobile app and web application development and technology analyst expert, wrote the
cost of software development depends on the type class of company. GameGo is classified as a

Specifically, we will focus on advertising through video game conventions and social media outlets
such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
From the article How Much Does Facebook Advertise Cost? by Marc Prosser published on July 13,
2013 it states that,
With Facebook, you get to choose what you want to pay for advertising. You will never pay
more than the maximum amount that you bid to have your ad appear or be clicked on. However,
the bidding process is competitive. If you bid too low, your ad will never be seen.
On average, companies spend about $24.00 daily per site to advertising through Facebook,
Instagram, and Twitter, which will let their ad be shown about 36,000 times a day (Prosser,
2013). To make sure our ad is seen efficiently throughout the day, we have set a daily budget of
$27.00 per site equaling $29,565 per year. Having heavy and concise advertising has proven to be
effective for companies when done right.
Another way that we wanted to advertise was by going to video game conventions and getting
our product in the market. The average cost of having a 20X20 square foot booth would be
$50,000 (Cost of Trade Show, 2014). We would have to have a budget of $70,000 for the trade
show to make sure that we have enough for the booth and room and board for the team.
Our objective to this is spreading awareness of the services we

How Did The Dwarf Rune Fight
The Dwarf Rune King s cry of victory was cut short, literally; threw back his head and began to
shout a cry of Victory! But his cry of pride turned into a scream of horror; a spear had pierced
through his throat, blood gushed forth from the wound. On the king s shoulder was... It was a
great goblin, he let loose that awful high pitched screech! With a start; the observing artillery
dwarf realized that this was the same goblin that the champion of the dwarfs dueled for the
mountain, he had that same wild, and savage look in his eyes, the blisters fresh from being

enmity towards the goblins was the almost uncontrollable, when the goblin warlord, sent a
goblin messenger who called a duel for the mountain, our champion was somewhat reticent to
accept the invitation to duel, I talked with him. As I entered his tent, the king exited, I saw the
champion: My brother in law, Mortis. I embraced him like I would one of my brothers. I won t

goblins are... No! I said I have fought many things in my twenty years of service to the king.
Then you will learn. my blood brother replied bitterly. I believe that you should do it... The duel. I
said. My brother laughed without humor goblins are pitiful foes, but I pity them not, they use
every tactic to survive. For them, it is the survive of the sneakiest, treacherous, most backstaming

The Death Of A Baby
The first cries of a baby echoed through the air. The cries were eager and joyous, as if the baby was
welcoming the world. The mother held the newborn baby and looked at her with pride that
contrasted her perspiring skin and shadowed eyes. Steady clicks were heard as a nurse came in.
She was holding a sleek glass tabletand briskly walked up to the side of the mother. The nurse
projected a hologram of numbers, graphs and tables with a triple tap on the glass.
The baby is in good condition: healthy heart rate, height at the seventy fifth percentile, head
circumference of 12 inches, Type O blood. There is one issue to contend with, but will only be an
issue in the far future. Do you want to hear it now? the nurse said professionally, ... Show more

baby fell asleep and the couple digested the news.
We ll let her decide when she s old enough, the woman said. Making the decision for her would be
selfish and detrimental. She took a deep ragged breath, turning to her husband.
It would be. We could hope it may work out over time. Subjecting her to extensive tests for a cure
would only take away her childhood. Let s enjoy her while we can. the man said, gently rocking
the baby in his arms. What shall we name her? he asked, glancing back at his wife.
The woman laid back and closed her eyes, thinking hard. She did so for so long that the man
thought she had fallen asleep. As he began to pull up the hospital covers for her, she opened her
eyes and said Nova. For the cycle of destruction and creation within her. The woman smiled with
satisfaction as she looked at her husband and the sleeping baby.

A Report On The Healthcare Industry
In years past, the healthcare industry focused on payment from patient volume; however, recent
modifications have changed that focus to payment from value based care. For this reason, hospitals
need to engage physicians in cost containment measures. To balance service line operations and
move toward greater profitability, physicianengagement is essential. Once accomplished,
improvement in overall operating margins will follow.
The world of the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) continues to expand
From the end of 2012 to the end of 2013, the number of public and private sector ACOs increased
by 203 percent. During that same period, ACO covered lives increased from 13.6 million to 18.2

The majority of physician employers are too dependent on using compensation as the mechanism to
influence physicians behaviors. The limited understanding physicians have of the risk based
payment models, in conjunction with their inherent risk aversion, make accepting these approaches
difficult; thus, hindering the possibility for an increase in higher value care. Physicians become
overwhelmed or feel as if they are not prepared to implement or accommodate changes.
Additionally, they have a limited understanding of the ways their behavior influences inefficiency
and waste.
The McKinsey Company study states that, health systems and health plans should develop a true
capacity in physician engagement, which is much broader than, and does not necessarily include
employment. Employing physicians is very costly, often fails to deliver the intended value and is
not crucial to achieving physician engagement. The report suggests the way in which physicians are
engaged is a crucial aspect of driving change; more so than any contractual mechanism.

Gothic Churches Social Changes
Social Reasons for the changes of the church
In the romanesque and gothic times, the foundation of European society was power. Many
noblemen were at constant competition for status, their focus was towards the centre and main
power of the town; the church. Social change is often an influence on the people and structure of a
society.
When a town has a really big and grand church, it brings in tourism and trade.Because gothic
churches were bigger and more elevated than romanesque churches, Gothic churches soon became
the life source of towns. Towns would try to emphasise the power and authority of churches through
space. Because of this tourism, money, education and control was brought to the town. The idea of

Biblical Worldview of my Chosen Vocation
Introduction
The way we see God influences everything we do in life the way we treat each other (as individuals
being created in God s image), our stewardship of God s creation, our understanding of our
vocation as a way to glorify (Etzel and Gutierrez, p.3). If I were to choose just two examples of
how man was created in the image of God, I would have to choose integrity and moral ethics. Upon
completion of my B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis on Leadership, I will enter the
business world that requires both examples.
Integrity
Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral convictions. He never sinned, nor
ever deceived anyone (New Living Translation ,1 Peter 2.22). I was made in the image of God
and he spoke the truth and kept His word. Leaders know that honesty and integrity are the
foundations of leadership. Leaders stand up for what they believe in. Leaders with integrity may
not be the most famous or flashy of leaders, and they don t care. Integrity means doing the right
thing because it is the right thing to do. Neither should we become antagonistic or agnostic to the
existence of truth. Jesus said the Word of God is truth, and that is a great starting point for us
(Etzel and Gutierrez, p.23). The book of Proverbs provides an abundance of verses on integrity.
He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out
(Proverbs 10.9). A person that has integrity will have a good reputation and not have to fear that
he or she will be exposed as a person that can t be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Biometric Codes Are Used For Recognising A User On The...
Abstract
Biometric systems are used for recognising a user on the basis of biometric traits he have.
During authentication some of the frequently asked questions are Is he who he claims to be? ,
Is he a valid user for gaining access to the system? . Biometric system answers all these questions
by authenticating the users. Every second information is shared and transferred between people
and it is important to make sure that what is sent by sender is what received by the receiver thus
raising the demand of security. Steganography is one of the techniques used for securing the
data. The secret message is hidden inside a cover media like audio, video or image with the help
of a secret key. Biometric templates can also be secured with this technique. Instead of storing
original templates in the database stego image is stored. LSB is one of the common techniques that
replace the LSB of every pixel of the cover image with the secret message to form stego image.
Keywords: Biometric, Biometric Attacks, Biometric template, Steganography, Security.
1.Introduction
With increasing rate of attacks, everyone today needs a reliable and secure system. Biometric
systems fulfil the needs to a great extent as biometric traits are better than passwords or pins which
have chances of being stolen and forgotten. Before using biometric systems enrolment phase is
necessary during which the templates of the users are stored in the database. During authentication
user s claim is matched with the

Characteristics of a Hero Essay
Characteristics of a Hero A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger
than oneself (Campbell 1). When we think of heroes most of us think of movie stars or
professional athletes, but it s not always about your popularity or talent it can also be about how
you help society. What I think make a great hero is someone who is able to overcome his or her
obstacles in life, is highly motivated, and has plenty of bravery. Overcoming obstacles may be
one of the hardest parts of being a hero. I think it s the hardest because a lot of people are blocked
from doing something and just quit. A great example of this trait is Jackie Robinson. He was
discriminated against because he was African American. Even though... Show more content on

In order to be a successful hero you must be a highly motivated person. Without motivation you
would not be very successful because you would have no ambition to try and make a difference
in the world. I think Rodney Dangerfield is a great example of this because he started he career
at just 15 and he died while he was in the middle of a movie. Also when his wife tried to make
him quit he just blew their many years of happiness and divorced her. In one of his quotes he
stated, At twenty a man is full of fight and hope. He wants to reform the world. When he s
seventy he still wants to reform the world (Dangerfield 3). Bravery is a great trait for a hero to
posses. I think bravery is a key quality because you don t always know what lies ahead of you and
you have to be brave to continue. A good example of this is Charles Lindburgh. He was the first
person to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. I believe that took a great amount of bravery because no
one had ever made it across, so he didn t know what lie ahead of him. One of his many good quotes
he said, The most effective way to do it, is to just do it , (Lindburgh 1). So as you may see
overcoming obstacles, being motivated and being outstandingly brave is key to becoming a great
hero.Like overcoming obstacles was very hard for

Well established relationships with complimentary external partners, suppliers, etc. also make a

As mentioned before it is essential that the company has a good understanding of itself. The traits
described above should be used to portray the brand identity A unique set of associations that the
brand strategist aspires to create or maintain. These associations represent what the brand should

However, the message a company wishes to deliver and how it is perceived by the consumer

through market research, it can see if its brand identity is inline with consumer perception. If it is
not, then the company will have to augment its marketing communications strategy to suit its

rejection from the consumer. This is

Good Guys and Bad Guys Jimmy Conway and Sam Ace Rothstein, two of the most charismatic
characters in their respective films, are a lot more alike than they seem. Without actually analyzing
and going in depth with both characters, you could see why they both come off more different
than alike. First off, and a huge noticeable difference, is Jimmy s love life compared to Sam s love
life. Jimmy has no attachments to the ladies. Although the real James Conway was married, the
character portrayed by Robert De Niro was not. Portraying no love life in the film Goodfellas
really made Conway stand out from all the other supporting characters. Sam, on the other hand,
had Ginger. Ginger used up Sam like he was a human ATM machine and took advantage of every
bit of generosity Sam had in him. During the last act of the movie when Sam is throwing Ginger s
clothes around and telling her to get out you can tell that he was just acting out of emotion due to
the betrayal he had experienced. This scene was the perfect example of a falling out between ...

Critical Analysis Of Wallace Stevens s The Inhabitants
The daily ritual of leaving work in the city to arrive home in the suburbs has been masterfully
depicted in the poem, The Inhabitants. By taking the New Critical analysis approach in using
scientific theory, we can unpack its meaning through a defined system self contained within the
text. In our analysis of The Inhabitants we take a structuralism approach. Structuralism as
defined by Mary Klages, in her book Literary Theory: A Guide for the Perplexed, is a way of
thinking that works to find the fundamental basis units or elements of which anything is made.
(p 31). The number 5 is a very powerful prime number. Taking a closer look at the poem, we see
the power of the 5 paradigm and how it plays a crucial role in unlocking the poem s very
meaning. Similarly, in our class exercise we utilized the work of Wallace Stevens, A Postcard
From the Volcano , and reduced the story to its bare bones. Getting to the basics of Guest s piece,
we can simply start with its structural rhythm of five stanzas. Each stanzais a self contained unit that
describes the transition from the city to the suburbs. In the first stanza the descriptive is of the
onset of departing office workers pilgrimage, Like people in an opera on the street, gracefully
orchestrate an orderly descent from their office building to the bus stop. Not the mad dash out the
door that school children make as their final school bell rings, nonetheless just as anxious. Listen to

Teachers Students And The Learning Environment
Teachers conducting action research in there class Action research is a means through which an
educator stays informed of the on going trends in education with specific interest in individual
content areas or classroom management techniques. Teachers need to understand these trends to
better serve the students. By participating in these research activities, teachers embrace change in
pedagogical strategies and learn how to best understand their students and the learning environment.
These in turn opens avenues for differentiated instruction. Differentiated instruction is a teaching
strategy that varies teaching techniques depending on individual student needs to meet the student
at their points of need. Meeting students at their points of need and teaching them required content
based using the most appropriate method should be the sole purpose for every educator. Therefore,
teachers should conduct action research in their own classrooms to be better educators. Action

Logical Relationship Of Budgeting Management
LOGICAL RELATIONSHIP OF BUGDETINGS
Budgeting management plays critical role in organizations, it can help organizations to allocate
resource, force thinking about future and estimate performance base on benchmark. Normally,
management team and financial function provide budget plans at the beginning of a specific
period. It also plays the role of communication and co ordination around different levels of
organization. Although all of kinds of budget are run respectively, it is important to investigate
interrelationship between them.
The master budget relationship is showed below:
Production budget, which determine number of units the company needs to produce to meet sales
and ending inventory, interlinked sales budget and direct material budget, direct labor budget and
manufacture overhead budget.
We will discuss the logical relationship of budgets.
1.Sales budget
The sales budget reflected sales expectation of a company s for the budget period. The unit result
of sales budget is the basement of production budget. To calculate sales budget, companies need
variety sources of information. The most important source is historical data and marketing
forecast. The sales budget result comes from budgeted sales in units by selling price per unit. It is
clear that the sales budget of new product will have less accurateness then the grown up product, as
there is not much data can be used. The more historical data to be concerned, the accurateness of
result will be higher.

primary Lutheran country, as it was from the start (Martin Luther1483 1546, BBC). This religion
dates back to 1517, the founder of this religion was Martin Luther (McHugh, John).
Martin Luther was born on November 10th, 1483 in Eisleben, Germany (Michael J. O Neal
/Sydney Jones, 225). According to a legend, Martin Luther was riding a horse when a storm
struck and he was hit by lightening. He said: Help, Sainte Anne! I ll become a monk. He was
saved and made an Augustinian monk (Michael J. O Neal/Sydney Jones, 226). Two years later,
Luther was ordained and began teaching at the University of Wittenberg. In 1512 he earned a
doctorate in theology (Lutheranism).
Over the next few years, Martin Luther began to believe that the Catholic Church was being
dishonest. This lead Martin Luther to post his 95 theses against the practice of selling indulgence
(Lutheranism). He hoped for a reformation of the church, however once it became obvious to him
that a reformation would not occur; he began to share his own views. He continued to inform
people on his perspective, regardless of being excommunicated from the church.
Luther had transformed his view on the religion; believing that Christians are saved

What Are Tropic Hormones
Hormone Properties
Once hormones have been produced by glands, they are distributed through the body via the
bloodstream. As hormones travel through the body, they pass through cells or along the plasma
membranes of cells until they encounter a receptor for that particular hormone. Hormones can only
affect target cells that have the appropriate receptors. This property of hormones is known as
specificity. Hormone specificity explains how each hormone can have specific effects in
widespread parts of the body.
The hormones produced by the endocrine system are classified as tropic hormones. A tropic
hormone is a hormone that is able to trigger the release of another hormone in another gland. Tropic
hormones provide a pathway of control for hormone

Warcraft Conflicts
World of Warcraft is a virtual world in which players must deal with various dangerous situations in
a variety of hazardous environments in order to survive. A player navigates a character exploring
various terrains, slaying enemies, completing quests, and networking with other players and non
player characters. In addition, open player versus player combat is a societal norm in which
factions attack opposing factions at any given time. Throughout the game a character will develop
an identity by communicating and interacting with the various factions present in game. While, at

A player must demonstrate initiative to gain the trust and support of a tribe. Though efforts against
them can prove counteractive, taking away a tribe s support and just the basis of being aligned to
one tribe over another can create this issue. This concept is put forth every day, in the principal of
creating mutual relationships in the pursuit of personal gain and can be viewed on multiple levels
ranging from communities as large as countries, to smaller interactions between business s. A
character in the World of Warcraft must complete various tasks and quests for tribes, growing
their reputation from neutral all the way to exalted within a particular tribe. On the other hand,
assisting rival factions or enemies of a tribe will make you lose reputation, eventually becoming
hated by them. The concept of the enemy of my enemy is my friend is huge in the complex
dynamics holding the world together. This concept is best shown in everyday life when nations in
the world put forth an effort, together with mutual self interest, to crush an opposition and achieve
the common goal of the collective group. The World of Warcraft exists as a fragile entity in which
value of power is sought out embracing the need for war in

The Morning After for Mokuba Kaiba
It is a beautiful Morning in domino city, the sun was shining and birds were singing. People
were making their way to work, chatting on cell phones with business calls, or chatting and
gossiping with friends. Teens and children were chatting with one another on the way to school.
For Mokuba Kaiba, it wasn t such a great morning. He was extremely nervous, because last night
Serenity, Joey Wheelers little sister, had given up her virginity to him. If Seto, his older brother
found out he had sex, he would kill him. As for Joey, he didn t know that Serenity was even
dating. He would surely kill Mokuba for taking his baby sisters virginity. Mokuba swallowed
down his nervousness, deciding to at least tell Joey he made love to his girlfriend. He quickly
walked into Domino high school, searching for his blond hot headed friend. When he spotted
him at the lockers, he swallowed his nervousness and walked up to him. Joey, Can I talk to you
about something? He asked nervously. Um sure squirt, what you want to talk about? Joey
obviously had been startled, not expecting Mokuba to appear suddenly. I do not want Seto to
know The raven haired teen informed him. Hearing this, Joey became concerned. It made him
think Mokuba had gotten himself into some real trouble. Okay what is it squirt, are you in
trouble? Mokuba s eyes widened slightly, realizing how it would have looked to his blond friend.
No I have a girlfriend Joey raised an eyebrow at this, confused why

Designing A Custom Paint At A New Gun Shop
I have wanted to perform a custom paint job on one of my rifles for a long time. I first learned
of people painting guns while at a new gun shop. The owner of the shop had a binder full of
pictures of guns that he had painted. Upon seeing this I wanted to learn how to create amazing
styles of camouflage and other designs for my rifles as well. I went onto the internet and watched
videos on how to properly paint a firearm. I learned that to create the best effects was to paint the
gunusing a gravity feed air brush. When I tried to procure an air brush to complete this project a
problem occurred in the shipping. Somewhere along the route my air brush kit was misplaced and
was unable to be found. This meant that I had to perform the paint... Show more content on

PlastiDip is a very thin spray able rubber that can act like a paint but can be removed at any time
without struggle. I chose to do it this way in case the spray paint didn t work as planned, then I
could remove the paint without a problem and no permanent consequences. The PlastiDip has a
short drying time, making it easy to spray on multiple layers in a short period of time. After the
second layer of the PlastiDip was fully sprayed on I let it cure over night to ensure that the
PlastiDip had fully gripped to the rifles stock. I kept the gun at room temperature and let it sit for
about twelve hours. I didn t wait this long for fear of the paint not bonding correctly, this amount
of time was due to work and school. When I arrived home from these priorities I began to make the
stencils to create the designs on the rifle. I decided that I wanted to do a striped cut pattern on the
gun using a red spray paint. Creating the stencils was the hardest part of the project. I thought that
the easiest way to make the stencils would be to draw out the design on paper, and then transfer the
design onto the masking tape. From there I was planning on cutting out the designs. This would let
me create the proper pattern and the tape would seal against the gun to prevent leaking. The stencils
did not work like I was hoping they would. To cut out the pattern I first started using a pocket knife.
This just ripped the tape and ruined the pattern. I thought that this was due to

First Amendment and Right to Privacy
The First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and the first right guaranteed by the Bill
of Rights, declares that there will be no law made respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the
right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of
grievances (First Amendment, n.d.). An individual s right to privacy is not guaranteed in the
United StatesConstitution or the Bill of Rights, however, there have been amendments created that
seek to protect specific and private rights individuals. Even so, there are limitations to what type of
freedoms are protected under the First Amendment and to what extent an individual s privacy is
protected. To begin with, there are three types of speech that are not protected by the First
Amendment: obscenity, libel, and slander. Obscenity is anything which depraves or corrupts minds
open to immoral influence (Freedom of Speech, 2003). Despite the fact that the definition of
obscenity has changed throughout the years, Congress, in general, has reached a consensus in
determining that obscenity covers anything that is directed towards or involves youths, including
child pornography. For example, in 1949, the Supreme Court upheld, in Rosenberg v. Board of
Education of City of New York, that the Board of Education did not have the right to ban schools
from carrying books such as Oliver Twist and The

Due to this, many radicals are very reactive because they want to reach a stable state. They can be classified as oxidants or reductants depending on whether they accept electrons from other atoms or donate atoms. Free radicals can be produced by natural processes such as metabolism. They are also generated from foods that we eat, water, medication, etc. Free radicals are essential to the human body because they are important components of the immune system and they also assist the body with the production of chemical energy. The painting is done in a realistic way which the details of clothing can be seen clearly. Back in the time when camera did not exist, painting is the only way to capture the world in graphics. Despite the availability of advanced modern day technologies for transferring documents worldwide, the fax machine, a technology developed way back in 1843, continues to persist in homes and offices even today. Considering the fact that this technology is more than a century old, it should have already joined the telegraphs and pagers in antique shops by now. Surprisingly however, instead of going obsolete, faxmachines have continued to evolve, adapt and conform to the requirements of modern telecommunications. The fax machine had already made its mark as an office workhorse back in the 1980s, and has continued to appear on business cards ever since! Although threatened by far more advanced and preferable technologies like scanners,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Newspapers and weather services were the earliest users of fax machines for transferring photographs and weather maps across the world. The use of fax machines was however limited because of their expensive nature and difficulty of operation. However, by 1980, telephone based fax machines had gained immense popularity because of their reduced prices and fixed Grade 3 standards of operation. About a million fax machines were sold in 1988 alone, and they became the fastest selling machines adorning homes and office desktops word wide. Fax machines proved to be of immense utility to the Japanese. The Japanese alphabet has thousands of characters, and keypads can only afford a limited number of keys. Fax machines provided the Japanese an easy way to transfer their written documents. According to the American facsimile association, about 50% of all calls made in the 1980s to the US from Japan were to fax machines. Frank Vizard, contributing editor of the Popular Mechanics magazine, writes that increasing popularity of fax machines blurred the line between the home and the office, as business documents could easily be faxed to homes within seconds. People dealt with work related documents from the comforts of their homes. Fax machines soon replaced postal mailboxes and reduced the time of delivery of documents. This was both a convenience as well as an inconvenience, as people could no longer find an excuse ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gender Bias In Sports Essay Highly accomplished female athletes are often infantilized by sport commentators by referring to them as girls or young ladies whereas skilled male athletes are rarely (if ever) referred to as boys (Messner et al., 1993; Wensing Bruce, 2003). A recent headline in the UK s Daily Mail regarding the Sochi Olympics read, Curl power: Girls sweep their way to bronze as Britain equals its best ever Winter Olympics tally (Daily Mail Reporter, 2014). Not surprisingly, the malecurlers were not referred to as boys when they won a silver medal the next day. Commentators further infantilize female athletes by calling them by their first name only whereas this rarely occurs with male athletes. Messner et al. (1993) found that women s ... For example, Billings (2007) examined the media commentary for men s and women s diving, gymnastics, swimming, and track and field competitions during the 2004 Summer Olympics and discovered that gender biased commentary occurred more often in the sports considered artistic (e.g., gymnastics, diving) with the greatest gender bias between men and women s gymnastics. Similarly, Angilini, Billings, and MacAuthor (2013) found the greatest amount of gender biased commentary in figure skating in their examination of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Typically, the negative framing described in the previous paragraphs occurs alongside positive narratives. Duncan and Hasbrook (1988) used the term ambivalence to describe media accounts about female athletes that present such mixed messages. As Eagleman (2013) described, it is coverage that appears positive at first glance, but actually includes words, phrases, or themes that subtly belittle women (p. 4). • 9. Discussion of Virtue in Meno by Socrates Plato reveals the views of Socrates on the query of whether virtue is knowledge and whether virtue may be taught in a number of dialogues, mainly in Meno. In the dialogue, Socrates creates several differing arguments on virtue, which include the definition of virtue and questions on whether persons can attain it. In addition, Platodemonstrates the means by which virtuecan be obtained, as well as ponders on whether persons are born virtuous, whether virtue may be taught or it is an added factor for righteous individuals (Novelguide.com n.pag.). The paper will focus on Socrates query of whether virtue is knowledge as well as highlight whether virtue may be taught. After Meno asks his initial question, that is whether a person can be able to be taught virtue, or a person can gain the same through nature, Socrates assents to continue but argues that a common understanding is required since neither of them could be capable of comprehensively explaining the meaning of virtue. Then Meno was made to consent that if virtue is not knowledge then one cannot be taught virtue. However, if it is knowledge, it can be taught (Holbo and Waring). Socrates asserts that a person can teach something only if he or she is acquainted with what it is that he/she is teaching. A person who does not know how to drive a vehicle himself of herself is unlikely to be capable of teaching another person how to do so. Initial reaction conducted with anthracene 9 methanol and N methylmaleimide was successful in generating a generous amount of product; however, due to errors performed during the purification method by recrystallization, some product was lost, thereby resulting in a low yield. Upon completion of the reaction, the Diels Alder adduct was subjected to analysis by NMR spectroscopy, specifically, Proton NMR. The percent yield of this reaction was expected to be high, however, the reaction yielded a percent yield of 4.88%, which is significantly low. Typically, a low percent yield is an indication of an inefficient reaction; however, in this case, this cannot be concluded due to errors that occurred during the reaction. Theoretically, dienophiles and dienes can have different electron donating and electron withdrawing substituents, thereby changing either can impact the percent yield of the reaction. An electron donating substituents on the diene will increase the percent yield as the chances of the reaction occurring is increased with the increase in the number of electron donating groups. • 13. How The Army s Move A New Construct On How It Trains And... The Army is in a period of transitioning to a new construct on how it trains and employs Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs). This new idea is called Regionally Aligned Forces (RAFs). The basic concept for RAFs is to align BCTs to a Combatant Commander (COCOM) for use as needed by that COCOM. By being aligned to a COCOM, the BCT and its respective Soldiers will receive specific region cultural and language training and also be provided specific training focus as determined by that COCOM. On a rotational basis units within those regionally aligned BCTs will deploy to their designated region to support the COCOM and in return the unit and Soldiers receive invaluable experiences and realistic training. This essay is to discuss how the Army s move to RAFs is a great strategic move for the Army on many fronts. Listed are a few of the fronts that the transition to regionally aligned forces addresses. As the Army draws down its forces in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) it has to find ways to remain relevant and useful in a time of budget reductions, smaller conflicts and greater uncertainty across the Department of Defense (DoD). With the reduction in size of the Army and the contraction of forces stationed abroad, there needs to be a plan to address this cultural exposure our forces are losing. In addition, the Army needs to preserve the lessons learned over a decade at war and not fall back into a garrison mindset where realistic training becomes unrealistic and worthless. ... As FePO4 distinguishes itself from the other isotypes because the ion at the cathode is a transition metal. Transition metals have very low ionization energies, and often high melting and boiling points. When the temperature changes from 294K to 1073K, we observed a structural change of the FePO4 compound. During low temperatures, the compound (О± FePO4) takes on a tetrahedral shape and as the compound heats up, pressure increases, the compound will transform into an octahedral ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The tilt angle of the tetrahedral would undergo tetrahedral distortion, with the bond length and angle of P O bond changing as well. Using neutral powder diffraction, we observed the iron phosphate quartz structure as the compound s form changes as temperature goes from 294K to 1073K. Due to the increasing temperature, there is low energy and high amplitude vibrations resulting in the iron phosphate compound to expand. This is due to accommodated total neutron scattering measurement. When it changes from alpha to beta phase, there is a change in bond angle but no change in bond length. As the compound slowly reaches the transition temperature of 980K, the tilt angle decreases. Another condition is when the delta value is more than 22 degrees and theta value is less than 136 degree. Also, it is observed the Fe O bond decreases in the length, and the angle reduces as well. Similarly, the P O bond of the phosphate ion, an increase in temperature results in a reduction of bond length and angle too. Many noblemen were at constant competition for status, their focus was towards the centre and main power of the town; the church. Social change is often an influence on the people and structure of a society. When a town has a really big and grand church, it brings in tourism and trade.Because gothic churches were bigger and more elevated than romanesque churches, Gothic churches soon became the life source of towns. Towns would try to emphasise the power and authority of churches through space. • 30. My Chosen Vocation Paper Dustin Webster Dr. George Bannister Theology 104 B42 12 June 2016 Biblical Worldview of my Chosen Vocation Introduction The way we see God influences everything we do in life the way we treat each other (as individuals being created in God s image), our stewardship of God s creation, our understanding of our vocation as a way to glorify (Etzel and Gutierrez, p.3). If I were to choose just two examples of how man was created in the image of God, I would have to choose integrity and moral ethics. Upon completion of my B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis on Leadership, I will enter the business world that requires both examples. Integrity Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral convictions. He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone (New Living Translation ,1 Peter 2.22). I was made in the image of God and he spoke the truth and kept His word. Leaders know that honesty and integrity are the foundations of leadership. Leaders stand up for what they believe in. Leaders with integrity may not be the most famous or flashy of leaders, and they don t care. Integrity means doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do. Neither should we become antagonistic or agnostic to the existence of truth. Jesus said the Word of God is truth, and that is a great starting point for us (Etzel and Gutierrez, p.23). The book of Proverbs provides an abundance of verses on integrity. He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out (Proverbs 10.9). A person that has integrity will have a good reputation and not have to fear that he or she will be exposed as a person that can t be ... During authentication some of the frequently asked questions are Is he who he claims to be? , Is he a valid user for gaining access to the system? . Biometric system answers all these questions by authenticating the users. Every second information is shared and transferred between people and it is important to make sure that what is sent by sender is what received by the receiver thus raising the demand of security. Steganography is one of the techniques used for securing the data. The secret message is hidden inside a cover media like audio, video or image with the help of a secret key. Biometric templates can also be secured with this technique. Instead of storing original templates in the database stego image is stored. LSB is one of the common techniques that replace the LSB of every pixel of the cover image with the secret message to form stego image. Keywords: Biometric, Biometric Attacks, Biometric template, Steganography, Security. 1.Introduction With increasing rate of attacks, everyone today needs a reliable and secure system. Biometric systems fulfil the needs to a great extent as biometric traits are better than passwords or pins which have chances of being stolen and forgotten. • 32. Characteristics of a Hero Essay Characteristics of a Hero A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself (Campbell 1). When we think of heroes most of us think of movie stars or professional athletes, but it s not always about your popularity or talent it can also be about how you help society. What I think make a great hero is someone who is able to overcome his or her obstacles in life, is highly motivated, and has plenty of bravery. Overcoming obstacles may be one of the hardest parts of being a hero. I think it s the hardest because a lot of people are blocked from doing something and just quit. In order to be a successful hero you must be a highly motivated person. Without motivation you would not be very successful because you would have no ambition to try and make a difference in the world. I think Rodney Dangerfield is a great example of this because he started he career at just 15 and he died while he was in the middle of a movie. Also when his wife tried to make him quit he just blew their many years of happiness and divorced her. In one of his quotes he stated, At twenty a man is full of fight and hope. He wants to reform the world. When he s seventy he still wants to reform the world (Dangerfield 3). Bravery is a great trait for a hero to posses. I think bravery is a key quality because you don t always know what lies ahead of you and you have to be brave to continue. A good example of this is Charles Lindburgh. He was the first person to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. I believe that took a great amount of bravery because no one had ever made it across, so he didn t know what lie ahead of him. One of his many good quotes he said, The most effective way to do it, is to just do it , (Lindburgh 1). Good Guys And Bad Guys Essay Dan Breen COM117: Languages of Film TV 11/5/2014 Jason Molloy Good Guys and Bad Guys Jimmy Conway and Sam Ace Rothstein, two of the most charismatic characters in their respective films, are a lot more alike than they seem. Without actually analyzing and going in depth with both characters, you could see why they both come off more different than alike. First off, and a huge noticeable difference, is Jimmy s love life compared to Sam s love life. Jimmy has no attachments to the ladies. Although the real James Conway was married, the character portrayed by Robert De Niro was not. Portraying no love life in the film Goodfellas really made Conway stand out from all the other supporting characters. Sam, on the other hand, had Ginger. Ginger used up Sam like he was a human ATM machine and took advantage of every bit of generosity Sam had in him. By taking the New Critical analysis approach in using scientific theory, we can unpack its meaning through a defined system self contained within the text. In our analysis of The Inhabitants we take a structuralism approach. Structuralism as defined by Mary Klages, in her book Literary Theory: A Guide for the Perplexed, is a way of thinking that works to find the fundamental basis units or elements of which anything is made.
