This document summarizes the last week of the 10th grade MBTS team. It discusses experiments to be conducted with tardigrade samples involving different water levels, lighting, and water types. It also notes some 3D printing issues with the plate scanner that need to be corrected. The team's software and 3D designs for the plate scanner were archived online. The team presented their project at a celebration of learning event and received an award. Team members reflected positively on the week and year, feeling productive but also sad to leave the team after gaining valuable experience. They are excited to see what the new team will accomplish and many plan to return next year.

4. Tardigrade Experiment
With the 7 tardigrade samples we have, we will be conducting an experiment. It
will involve testing different water levels, environment lighting (do tardigrades
survive better in the dark?), and different types of water (distilled vs. spring
water).
The tardigrade environment experiment will be a
main focus for the new, upcoming MBTS team.

5. Plate Scanner
Though we had hoped to finish the plate scanner this round, unfortunately we ran
into some 3D designing problems. Our prints didn’t fit together correctly so we are
currently working on doing some corrections. We’re almost there!

7. Celebration of Learning
We had a celebration of learning event at our school on thursday where we
presented our tri-fold posters and project. We also received an award for the best
internship.

8. How we feel about this week + wrapping up
MBTS for the year….
Christina - 9 - I feel good about this week. I felt like we were productive and worked hard. Though this year has had its ups and downs, I am
really happy with our ending team and our work. I am glad to have gotten this experience and have made friends and memories I will likely never
forget. I have been dedicated to working on MBTS for the last 2 years and though I do feel a little sad about leaving, I am excited to see what the new
team can accomplish and plan to be back for my senior year.
Justin - 9.5 - This week was a good wrap-up week. We made progress to finishing the plate scanner design, and we were able to show off what
we’ve done to our school. This year as a whole has definitely been an eye-opening experience, both with what working in a more professional
environment will look like and with what will be expected of us going forward. Going into a more passive role at MBTS my junior year will hurt a bit,
since I’ve given it my all this year, but I’m excited for the direction our team is going, and I’m confident that we’ll be able to achieve our goals!
Drew - 9- This week was good, we were able wrap-up everything. We made good progress with the plate scanner. I wish that we would be able to
finish it fully(or at least so that the next group can use it.) We got to show our school what we did (we got some award.) But overall I think that it was
a good year. I hope that the our project will be able to continue on next year.
Holger - 9 - I got more work done this round than any other. Otherwise, this was my first year here so I don’t have anything to compare this
whole year to, but it was fun and I am sad that I have to leave next year.
Sean - 9 - This week was really good as a wrap-up week. We had a lot of work done and it sets the stage for us next year. I need to take
accountability next year and manage well as project manager and additive software engineer. These last 2 weeks have helped us get ready for that.
