Names for my magazine:
THESE NAMES ARE ONES I HAVE
CONSIDERED FOR MY MAGAZINE.
Ideas:
 Alter: This was my first idea
when thinking about what my
target audience wanted and what
would suit that style of music. This
name sounds very edgy and is the
sort of name I am looking for.
 Amplify: I thought about this
name for the fact it relates to how
music is played and how it sounds.
I thought that this sounded very
common.
 TM-(The Music): This name
was inspired by NME magazine, I
thought that an edgy abbreviation
might represent my audience,
however after a second glance I
have decided to no longer consider
this name.
 Unplugged: At first I had not
thought of naming my magazine
this, however it gave that edginess
that I am looking for. This name
relates directly to an acoustic
sound rather than a electric sound.
My chosen name: ALTER
I FOUND THIS AS MY FIRST IDEA TO BE THE MOST
SUITABLE NAME. I THINK THAT THIS NAME
REPRESENTS MY AUDIENCE IN THE EDGY WAY I
WANT AND ALSO I THINK THAT MY AUDIENCE
WOULD PREFER THIS NAME DUE TO ITS
RELATION TO ALTERNATIVE MUSIC.
Masthead Ideas.
THESE ARE MY F IRS T IDEAS OF HOW I WOULD
L IKE MY MAS THEAD ON MY MAGAZ INE TO LOOK.
First Idea
This is my first idea for
my masthead, this
design was inspired by
Billboard magazine. I
thought that this would
be a good way to
incorporate my colour
scheme into my
magazine. The
background would not
be there if I were to use
this as my masthead. I
think that some of the
colours work however
some look out of place,
I believe that this would
be altered into a more
suited masthead if I
were to use it.
Second Idea
My second idea is quite
a lot plainer than the
first, I like this though
because I believe it
represents my target
audience very well. The
font is a bit rough and
edgy which is the look I
am going for with my
magazine as it a cross of
lots of music. I think
that this would be easy
to use and would fit
behind an image whilst
still being readable.
Third Idea(s)
These are my third
idea(s), they are both
the same design but
with different
background colours.
The coloured
background is to help
incorporate my colour
scheme into my front
cover. I think that the
red version stands out
more than the blue,
however blue was a
colour that my audience
preferred.
