2. About the Master of Ceremony
Karen Alexandre is a former top model and Miss Universe contestant as well as a poised and dynamic
Toastmaster. She was First Runner up for Toastmaster National Contest andSpeaking Champion of Financial
Toastmasters club . She has travelled all over the world speaking publicly at different events, including at Miss
Mauritius National Contest, Miss Universe , Miss Reunion, charity events. She is also a business women who
has mastered the art of presentating with persuasion .

Process
Before the event
• Meeting with you (the organizers) well in advance of the event to confirm the purpose of the event and to
plan the agenda in detail. ( 10 to 15 days prior to event )
• Contact all speakers or others who will have a role in the program and confirm their responsibilities, time
allotted to them and anything they might require at the event .
• List any special guests in attendance who should be acknowledge at the event
• Submit the meeting minutes with detail of program and attendance
At the Event
Finish any last minute details.
Use resourceful , creative , flexible respond to problems “on the fly “
Opening Event
Welcome all present
Introduce herself
Remind the audience of why they have come
Outline the upcoming program briefly
During the Program
Introduce the speaker and others who play a role in the program.
If there is a gift or honorarium for the speaker(s) or others it can be presented at the conclusion of their
speech. If there are several individuals to receive gifts they can all be presented at the conclusion of the event
if this seems appropriate and all the speaker will still be available
Closing the Meeting
Summarize the event highlights , learning’s and thanking the organizers, sponsors or others
