The 360 degree view of customer has been around for several years and has become a bit of cliché. The world has changed a lot in the past decade. We have seen a shift of power to the consumer. Consumers today are highly connected and demanding. Rather than seeking information from the companies they do business with, they come armed with information and mobile devices that allow them to research any topic in an instant. And of course the amount of data available is increasing at an incredible rate. This rate of increase is mirrored inside organizations, many of whom are struggling to leverage new kinds of data and turn them into specific useful information about their customers.
By bringing together technologies like Hadoop and incorporating unstructured data into that traditional single view, and with technologies like Watson explorer we can bring that enhanced 360 in front of the seller, marketer or customer service rep to make the customer’s experience more personalized. This causes them to buy more quicker and be less likely to switch.
Complete Solutions in ECM using IBM, Internal and Third Party, Custom ComponentsPyramid Solutions, Inc.
Pyramid Solutions showcased how real-world customers have used IBM Content Navigator and IBM Case Manager to develop solutions that can be applied to the entire enterprise. Using the extendibility of Content Navigator has allowed customers to use custom components that were developed in-house in conjunction with third-party and OOTB components to develop complete solutions to meet the users’ needs. This session examines how custom components can be built and combined with third-party and IBM products. It also examines the flexibility of component design that enables flexible interfaces that can be used across content and case management solutions without the need to develop separate components.

With the laws of physics providing a nice brick wall that chip builders are heading towards for processor clock speed, we are heading into the territory where simply buying a new machine won't necessarily make your batch go faster. So if you can't go short, go wide! This session looks at some of the performance issues and techniques of splitting your batch jobs into parallel streams to do more at once.
Abstract:
So, it’s got a “tongue-in-cheek” title but what’s it all about?
I think one of the least well appreciated aspects of z/OS and its middleware is the richness of instrumentation it gives you: Here I describe it and just some of the ways you can get value from SMF.
While I'm aware MY concerns might not match YOUR concerns EXACTLY there's much common ground.
I'd like to make you smarter - or appear to be. :-)
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
