Education field expert with over ten years’ experience in the instructing,
recruiting, retaining and training of post-secondary education students. Holds a
strong college instructor, admissions, recruiting, completion, and training
background. Working for highly reputable, non-for-profit and for-profit institutions
has led to increased knowledge in, and becoming highly proficient in, classroom
management and outcome based teaching. Committed to lifelong professional

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Cleveland State Community College- Cleveland, TN
Cooperative Education Faculty 08/2015- Present
Partner with students and service-area business/industry in order to build
internship and work-based learning experiences.
 Worked in partnership with SBDC during the Fall 2015 semester to offer 22 students
a paid-internship in the 5-county service area
 Shown flexibility by taking on extra courses as needed- FYS (2 semesters) and
Supervisory Management
 Worked with numerous community businesses in all 5 service counties to bring about
awareness and partnership with CSCC
 Volunteered my time for community events in order for mutually beneficial
relationships to be created for CSCC (FBLA judging, History Day judging, Brew-Ha-
Ha Festival, etc.)
 Attended service learning training events to better the SLE course curriculums
(Appalachian Summit, Gulf-Coast Summit, TNCC Regional Service-Learning Event)
 Formed partnerships with local high schools in order to increase and emphasize the
importance of work-based learning in both levels of learning. Future work is planned
to streamline the internship/work-based experience between the high school and
college levels
 Working with divisions to grow the co-op program by creating and proposing to CAS
a 1 credit-hour job-shadowing course as a pathway elective
 Actively participating on and volunteering for campus events and community activities
Perkins Persistence Coach 09/2014- 07/2015
Work with previously enrolled Business and Technology students, who have
withdrawn/dropped out of school, in order to assist in reentrance to the college.
 Assisted 33 students to return in Fall 2014, which was 35% of the contacted students
for that semester.
 Attended webinars on coaching and student persistence that increased knowledge in
the field and helped with student contacts.
 Created an Excel tracking sheet, which allowed for specific tracking of position’s
success/failure.
 Created and maintain persistence coach Facebook and Twitter accounts, which led
to the contacting of 24 extra students.
 Completed advisor training course through D2L, leading to increased ability and
knowledge in advising currently enrolled students.
San Joaquin Valley College- Bakersfield, CA 06/ 2009- 12/2013
Business Instructor/Admissions Advisor (leave for maternity)
Taught post-secondary students curriculum in basis with each course’s Student
Learning Outcomes.
 Increased retention rates by 5% within a 2 month period.
 Attendance rates increased by 3% in 2 months by improved classroom management
