A. What is a perfect square trinomial?
  1. The first term is a perfect square
  2. The third term is a perfect square
  3. Multiply the square root of the 1st term
coefficient by the square root of the 3rd term
coefficient. The 2nd term should be twice this amount.

Another shortcut for factoring a trinomial is when
we want to factor the difference of two squares.
    a2 – b2 = (a + b)(a – b)
  A binomial is the difference of two squares if:
    1.Both terms are squares and
    2.The signs of the terms are different.
