The animal is a mix of more familiar
species: the duck (bill and webbed
feet), beaver (tail, body and fur).
Males are also poisonous
(venomous).
ECHIDNA
They give birth to very small creatures but the babies are not formed. When
the baby animals are born, they crawl and put themselves into their mum’s pouch,
where they lick their niples and drink milk. Then, they start to grow and, when
they are big enough, they leave the pouch. They come from Australia too.
