1. HUMAN SEXUAL
CHARACTERISTICS

2. SEXUAL CHARACTERISTICS: They are the differences
between men and women.
There are two types: Primary sexual characteristics and
secondary sexual characteristics.

3. Primary sexual characteristics: They are the
differences between male and female reproductive
organs.

4. Secondary sexual characteristics: They are OTHER
physical differences between men and women such as
wider hips in women and more body hair in men.

5. 1. OVARIES
- They produce ova (or
eggs). These are the
female reproductive cells.
- One ovum (or egg)
matures every month.
- Women are born with all
the ova they need.

6. 2. Fallopian tubes
They connect the ovaries to
the uterus.

7. 3. UTERUS
- It is an organ with muscular walls.
- During pregnancy, the baby develops inside it.

8. 4. Vagina
- It is a tube that connects the uterus to the
outside of the body.
- The vulva covers its opening.

9. 1. TESTICLES
- They produce sperm.
Sperm is the male
reproductive cell.
- They are inside a bag
called scrotum.

10. 2. SPERM TRAVELS UP
- Sperm cells travel up and
reach the seminal vesicles
and the prostate.
- The seminal vesicles
produce semen, which is
mixed with the sperm.

11. 3. Sperm is released
Finally, sperm is released
through the urethra.
