A one-year project funded by Jamsetji Tata Trust aimed to increase food security and household income for 83 households across 3 villages through the development of 3 diversion weir irrigation structures. So far, 23 households in Jaripada village have benefited from the irrigation of 30 acres of land. Work is ongoing for the other structures in Sana Tulabi and Jamuganda villages to irrigate a total planned area of 75 acres. Activities undertaken include community meetings, surveys, infrastructure development, and training in organic farming. Issues encountered include delays due to weather and infrastructure damage.
