Activities undertaken so far
• Initial meetings with villagers conducted.
• Permission from Forest dept. obtained.
• Technical survey conducted with help of DBI secretariat and
  findings discussed with villagers.
• Social, resource & command area mapping completed.
• Work supervision committee in each village set up.
• Exposure of project staff to GPSS undertaken.
• Digging of canals, intake structure, laying of pipes etc.

• 20.70 acres land received irrigation and each of the 23 HH has
  now access to water for household consumption.
• Training on organic manure & pesticides conducted. Each
  family has started preparing & using organic manure &
  pesticides.
• Sunflower, mustard & vegetables (Cauliflower, Radish, green
  leaves, Bean, Cabbage, Tamato, Brinjal & Chilly) were sown
  with availability of water. Total expected income would be Rs.
  51,150/- (approx)
Problems encountered
• Digging of trenches started a bit late due to extreme hot
  weather and again it was delayed due to prolonged rain
  during September/ October.
• The connecting forest road & bridges to the sites were
  damaged due to heavy rain and thus transportation of pipes,
  got delayed till it was repaired by the forest dept.
• In Sanatulubi village, the laying of pipes was to be done
  through paddy fields. So, we had to wait till harvest to start
  digging of trenches through the paddy field.
