Practitioners should assess children’s progress on the curriculum content that is presented to children. The information teachers gather about children’s progress helps determine how to design the classroom, the kinds of experiences, and the content that will help children learn new skills. Regular (or ongoing) assessment gives you the information you need for lesson planning and helps you create stimulating learning environments for children.
