LTE network architecture is the subject of this first section. Several
use cases are presented with examples of possible applications.
2. LTE physical layer
This chapter has a more practical flavor, involving the students in
exercises of dimensioning the radio interface of the LTE and
computing performance figures.
3. Architecture of a multi-standard base station
This section presents the architecture of an embedded eNodeB,
underlining main challenges and computational issues. Discussion
on how the architecture of a DSP chipset is influenced by the use
cases and how we build the chips around the business cases.
