C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is a protein produced by the liver during inflammation or infection. CRP levels are used to detect and monitor various conditions, including infection, tissue damage, cardiovascular disease risk, and postoperative monitoring of transplant patients. CRP assays including standard CRP, high sensitivity CRP, and full range CRP are offered by Randox Laboratories to measure CRP levels across its normal and elevated ranges on many automated chemistry analyzers.
2. C-Reactive Protein (CRP)
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is an acute phase protein produced by the liver in response
to inflammation and infection. The measurement of CRP is therefore useful in the
detection of viral infections, infectious diseases, tissue injury, stress, trauma and
inflammatory conditions.
One of the most common uses of CRP is the post operative Features of the Randox CRP assay

help clinicians to identify these individuals earlier; it can also be used
to evaluate the risk of a recurrent cardiac event. In high risk groups
there have even been indications that CRP could be used as a
prognostic tool.
