Winston finished in second place at the St. Mary’s Invitational carding a 210 (68-68-74) which was two shots off
the lead. The Aggie senior was the tournament leader through 36 holes and led the field with the best par-4
stroke average (3.87). Additionally, the Dallas, Texas native scored 37 pars and 10 birdies. In five tournaments
this season, Winston has finished in the top-2 three times.
WOMEN’S
Glory Jangthongsiri, West Texas A&M University, SR, Bangkok, Thailand, Yothinburana School
Jangthongsiri set a school-record with her sixth individual win of her career this week taking medalist honors on
a playoff against Florida Tech’s No. 9-ranked Felicia Leftinger. Both players shot a 146 and Jangthongsiri won on
the first playoff hole. She carded rounds of 72 and 74 for the tournament as the Lady Buffs finished tied for fifth
as a team. It marked her first win of her senior year as has at least one win in each of her four years at WT. The
Bangkok, Thailand, native, surpassed head coach Meredith Jameson as the all-time winningest player in WT
women’s golf history. Jangthongsiri has had an outstanding career with 82 career rounds, including 68 rounds
in the 70s, three in the 60’s and 11 in the 80s. Jangthongsiri has a career stroke average of 75.5.

The West Texas A&M women’s golf team finished tied for fifth at the St. Edward’s Invitational this week.

ideal conditions. Senior Whitlee Woods tied for 13th with a 153 (75 - 78). WT sits eighth in the newest region
rankings and 30th nationally according to Golfstat. The Lady Buffs now play at the Texas A&M-Commerce
Chevy Dealers Lion Invitational March 7-8 at Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro, Texas.
