TENNIS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
MEN’S
Przemyslaw Zielinski, Cameron University, JR, Szubin, Poland
Zielinski led the Aggies, going 2‐1 in singles play and 3‐0 in doubles play last week. The CU No. 1 singles player started
out with a 6‐1, 6‐1 win against No. 35 Thomas Pudney of CSU‐Pueblo. Zielinski's one loss came against No. 6Sherif
Abohabaga of Southwest Baptist, 6‐3, 6‐2. He responded with a 7‐5, 6‐4 win over MSU‐Denver's No. 1 player. Zielinski
also teamed up with Mateo Velasco to get wins in the No. 1 doubles spot in all three of CU's matches.
WOMEN’S
Zhenia Shviadok, Cameron University, JR, Brest, Belarus
Shviadok went 3‐1 this past week in singles, as Cameron went 2‐2 against CSU‐Pueblo, No. 18 Southwest Baptist, MSU‐
Denver, and No. 11 Northeastern State. The junior started out the week with a dominant 6‐1, 6‐1 win in the No. 1 singles
spot against CSU‐P. Against the ranked Bearcats, Shviadok recorded a 6‐4, 6‐4 win in the top singles spot. She saved her
most impressive win for the final match of the weekend as she took down Metro State's Tabitha Porter, who is ranked
No. 6 in the ITA singles rankings, 6‐3, 6‐3. Shviadok's one loss came against No. 23 Tatjana Stoll from NSU. She went 2‐2
in doubles play last week.
