Sharon asks…
how long do you hold out hope?
Well ladies I’m on c/d 35 I have 35 day cycles took clomid and estradiol I did the opk got the lh
surge on time I just knew I did it this month oh one little detail I had a yeast infection too but I
still bd that wasn’t going to stop me I treated right after I was sure I ovulated quick question is
the yeast in my uterus too? Idk anyway the research I read said to go at it anyway but I had no
symptoms pregnancy or menstrual all this time I was stoked only because I have fibroids and it
tends to feel like giving birth with every cramp every month this month nothing no sore boobs no
yelling at the cars on the road I was just happy and today I was due yesterday I check my cervix
very high and Idk hard or soft I could barely feel it today I was on my way to the office and I felt
a cramp I almost fell to pieces with my client in the car because I just knew I had done it I
haven’t tested today because I felt the cramp I haven’t started bleeding but I just know its
coming:( so I was just wondering how long do you guys hold out hope and what’s your story?
Thanks for listening sometimes that just does the trick for me and ****baby dust to us all****
sorry so long
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
No problem about it being long, sometimes we all just need to get it out. I kept thinking this past
cycle was our time, that we had finally done it since I had a (+) OPK and I usually don’t ovulate.
(PCOS) My cervix was high and hard each time I checked the 3 days before AF was due, and
1/7
2. then I got brown discharge and spotting out of nowhere. Usually I have HORRIBLE cramps but I
didn’t this time. Next thing I know AF is staring me in the face a few days early.
The only thing is in this last cycle I had strep/ear infection- but didn’t take any meds cuz I
usually get over it quick. Now AF is finally starting to go away but I’ve caught the FLU! Why
not?! I’m beginning to wonder if my immune system is against us TTC right now.
GooD LuCK, and don’t give up.

Lizzie asks…
Early Pregnancy Symptoms?
I took an ovulation test on 2-13 which showed positive for an LH surge. On 2-23 I began feeling
light cramps. On 2-25 I started to have heavy and sore breasts. On 2-26 I noticed creamy light
pink discharge (really light) and had a nagging headache. Today I noticed the discharge was
gone. Its now 2-27 and I now feel a nagging nausea that only goes away when I eat a little
something and still have a headache. I am still feeling crampy. I have had gas and heart burn
for about a week. My cervix is high and softish but not as soft as ovulation.
I took a test today but it was negative. Maybe I am just getting sick, but we are trying to
conceive and I hope I am preggers. My questions is… How long after I detected the surge
would I have ovulated and would it have been too late to have be seeing implantation bleeding?
What does everyone think? How much longer should I wait to test again or is it even worth it?

3. Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
I think you could very well be pregnant or you could have just stressed yourself out physically
and mentally over the possibility of it. I did that to myself more times than I care to remember.
However, it finally happened for us last year and I gave birth 2-14 to my son. I hope the best for
you and wish you a joyful pregnancy and safe delivery. Go see the doctor. Good Luck and God
Bless!
Betty asks…
Clomid/Ovulation/Pregnancy?
My dr. started me on clomid on day 5-9 of my cycle. My period started on 1/7/07 and I started
taking clomid on 1/11/07. I detected an LH surge on day the 21, 22, 23, 24, and I had
intercourse on does days.
My question is, how long before I know if I conceived.
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
Wait until your next scheduled period and take a test. Be careful about testing too early as many
women who do end up getting false negative results because their hcg level is too low yet to be
detected by a home test. It’s always best to wait until your expected period to test. I usually wait
3/7
4. until 3 days after my missed period to test and even then I only got faint positive lines. I have
conceived 3 times on Clomid. The first time I conceived the first month. The second time took 8
months and the third time took 6 months.
Mary asks…
ovulation test / HELP?
Guess I posted in the wrong spot. I use an ovulation test every month. I had sex and 24hrs later
it detected my LH surge. Are my chances high of pregnancy now ? How long does sperm live
inside the uterus ? Is 5 days a myth to scare teens from having unprotected sex ? Please Help !
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
What I know is that the male sperm travel faster than the female. The male sperm die faster
than the female ones. I believe the female sperm last for about 3 days and the male are about
24 to 35 hours, so I’m told.
Hope this helps.

5. Ruth asks…
The idea was to hope to get pregnant, i went off the pill and an
ovulation test was positive 1 week later!?
I went off the pill and a week later did an ovulation prediction test, it was positive and i had
intercourse 3 days later( i’ve read that between 1-3 days after your LH surge is detected that is
when a women is fertile. ) i didn’t have sex till the 3rd day afternoon, and now its a week and a
day later and my nipples really hurt and im feeling like i have lower back pain and slight pains
in my uteral area, it feels slightly different than menstral cramps… what do you think? how were
your experiences in early early pregnancy…. is there possiblity of signs this early. also, because
i went off the pill about how long would it be before i would get my period if im not
pregnant???? i’ve been on and off the pill for a while that im not sure on my cycle…
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
Its in your head or your body coming off the pill there are no actual signs of pregnancy until after
the period is late. Sounds like you about to start see your doctor

6. Laura asks…
ovulation tests?
ok im asking for a friend because i dont know how it works so if you have an ovulation kit and
you have an lh surge and you do the baby dance that night that you have the surge and not
the next will you get pregnant and how long after can you take a pregnancy test and whats the
very best pregnancy test to take ive had 6 kids but never used one so i dont know what to tell
her so i was hopeing you lovely ladys could help me here thanks in advance
i was thinking because she had the positive lh surge she had a good chance
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
The OPK work in a very simple way. They detect the LH surge and will tell you before you
ovulate. After you get the positive test you will ovulation 12-24 hours after the test, so tell you
friend to have sex the night she get the positive and if she can the following night also. You
should wait no sooner than 3 days before your missed period to test for pregnancy. I like to use
the clear blue digital test (more expensive but says “pregnant” or “not pregnant”). I would also
tell you friend to start charting her temp and her cycle. She will need to get a Basal Body
thermometer and take her temp every morning before she wakes up. To find more info try

Tell her good luck and lots of Baby dust to her..
