Fertility Calculator

  1. 1. Fertility CalculatorUnderstanding Luteinizing hormonehttp://lhhormone.orgLisa asks…Fertility Calculator? My wife and I have decided to wait for a bit before having kids. We have been using the “Pullout” method and it has worked out great. We also use a fertility calculator so that we can beaware of days that she is ovulating. During the days when she is not however, I worry lessabout pulling out and I just let it all go. The last time this happened was about a week and a halfago. this morning she woke up having flu like symptoms. Could it be that we are expecting? How high are the odds of one getting pregnant when the calender shows no/low chance ofconception? We want children eventually and we LOVE them. Also, we are both against abortion so that’sout of the question completely!Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:It is really not responsible to do this kind of perception. Why dont you guys use condomsinstead like everyone else? If you do not want a child, dont mess with this because it would notbe fair to the child to get it aborted because you “accidently” got your wife preggy. Thesecalendars are not made to prevent pregnancy. They are made for people who like to getpregnant in order to get the most successful time (fertility). This is a very adoloscent way toprotect yourself and i wouldnt be surprised if you make a test in 2 weeks and shes pregnant. 1/6
  2. 2. Susan asks…I did an online fertility calculator and?it said my most fertile days would be April 7th through April 11th. Sure enough, yesterday wasApril 7th and I felt ready, LOL, I could just tell that things were happening down there. I don’twant to get into detail. So, can someone explain to me what these “fertility days” mean? I’m new to the whole TTCscene, we surprisingly conceived our daughter so we haven’t gone through this before.Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:When I tried to get pregnant this time, I did the online ovulation predictors as well. It said mymost fertile days were Aug 14-17. So we “did it” on the 11, 12, 14, and 17. I heard that doing itbefore ovulation is a good idea too because sperm can live for a few days…sure enough, a fewweeks later I got a positive pregnancy test!!! I am now 36 weeksGood Luck and lots of baby dust to you!!! 2/6
  3. 3. Helen asks…Did anyone tried fertility calculator, is it successful? or any otherway to know fertility period?Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:I used www.fertilityfriend.comI used to have irregular cycles and we were planning for baby, so I wanted to know my fertilityperiod. On fertilityfriend.com, you have to enter BBT(basal body temperature). If your cycles areirregular, after first month, it will exactly tell you when you are ovulating and when can you getyour next periods. It really worked for me. Hope this helps.Donna asks… 3/6
  4. 4. Trying to figure out what to count as the first day of last period forfertility predicting? So, this was my first month off the pill. When on the pill I typically start on Mondays. So my firstmonth off, I began spotting on Friday, and continued very very lightly spotting through Sunday, and was heavy Monday and Tuesday. What do I count as the “first day”, Friday, when I startedspotting, or Monday, when I really started a normal flow? What would I put on my fertilitycalculator?Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:I would say the actual day of full bleedingNancy asks…I did an online fertility calculator?and it said that my most fertile days this month would be between April 7th-11th, sure enoughthe 7th rolled around and I could definitely tell there was something different with my body, LOL,so I’m guessing the calculator is right. So if I conceive during this time, should I miss my periodat the end of this month? Or would that be too soon? I don’t want to go testing crazy because Ialready had 2 negs last month and it was hard so we decided we’re just gonna wait until I missmy period to test. I’ve never kept track of my cycles, but the first day of my last period wasMarch 28th, bled for 3 days and spotted on the 4th day, which is actually half a period for me. 4/6
  5. 5. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks to all and BABY DUST!EVERYONE PLEASE REPORT ATHEL! I’M SO TIRED OF THESE ROBOTS!Would it be possible for me to bleed at all during my expected period time?Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:When they give you those dates that is if you are on a 28 day cycle. So they give you 4 or 5dates and the first being the earliest and the last being the latest. So from the dates you gaveyour best day to get pregnant would have been on the the 9th and 10th the 7th and 8th alldepends on the cervical mucus and the sperm. If you only did it on the 7th and you ovulated onthe 11th then hopefully the sperm is living in a comfy place and they will live up to 4 days. Whenhaving sex on the earliest date given it all depends on how good the sperm is and how decentyour cervical mucus is as they need enough of it to swim up to the egg. If the mucus is not theclear stretchy kind then it would be hard for the sperm to swim and live for a long period of time. You said you felt different on the 7th then maybe you were close too ovulating a bit earlier whichwould be great.Laura asks…Have anyone used fertility calculator used with urine?is itsuccessful? 5/6
