This document analyzes potential locations for a new technological institute in Metro Manila based on several factors. It considers locations in Araneta, Cubao; Diliman, Quezon City; and Ortigas, EDSA. Based on ratings across factors like management expertise, demographics, accessibility, safety, competition, laws and government support, Diliman, Quezon City scored the highest. The conclusion recommends establishing the new campus there due to Diliman's skilled workforce, affordable high-quality education options, large student-aged population, accessibility, safety, and supportive legal environment compared to other locations.

Fay Chung proposes reforms to education and training in Zimbabwe.
Presented at 'Moving Forward with Pro-poor Reconstruction in Zimbabwe' International Conference, Harare, Zimbabwe, (25 and 26 August 2009)
Experiencing tough history and indigence after war, investing in and training human resources became a
priority task for the government. Education has thus been key in the reconstruction and growth of the
country. While Korea quickly attained high level of enrollment and performance, this success didn’t come
without drawbacks. The intense competition in education gradually led to seriously jeopardize student’s well-being. In this context, this presentation will assess and diagnose the strength and weakness of the Korean education system and provide recommendations focusing on the following question: How can Korea combine outstanding academic performance with students’ well-being?
Implications of Free Primary Education on KCPE Examinations Performance In Pu...paperpublications3
Abstract: The introduction of Free Primary Education in Kenya in 2003 increased enrolment from 5.9 million pupils to 7.6. By 2011, enrolment stood at 9.2 million pupils representing a 63% increase rate in nine years. It increased pupil to teacher ratio and pupil to textbook ratio. The Kenya certificate of primary education (KCPE) is crucial since it is the indicator of a child’s basic education. The objectives of the study were to: determine the effects of enrolment of pupils on KCPE examinations performance, determine the effects of pupil to teacher ratio on KCPE examinations performance, find out the effects of pupil to textbook ratio on KCPE examinations performance, determine whether there is any significant improvement of KCPE in public primary schools of Kemera Division after the introduction of FPE using a chi square analysis and find out the effects of physical facilities on KCPE examinations performance in public primary schools. The literature was reviewed using the sub themes from the objectives. The study used stratified random sampling and descriptive design. The instruments used were questionnaires, interview schedules, focused group discussions and observations checklist. The total target population was 18 primary schools, 8326 pupils, 204 teachers 18 Head teachers, 180 school committee members and 2 education officers. The total population sampled was 372.The target groups from whom data was collected were pupils of class 4-8, teachers, Head teachers, school committee members and educational officers in the Division. The sample size constituted of 250 pupils, 80 teachers, 30 committee members, 10 Head teachers and 2 education officers in the Division .The study found out that enrolment was high, schools had uneven distribution of teachers, pupil to textbook ratio was inadequate and physical facilities were not enough. Chi square analysis showed no significant improvement in KCPE performance in the schools of the Division after the introduction of FPE. The study recommended that disbursement of funds to be sent in time to cater for high enrolment, Teacher to pupil ratio to be improved, Pupil to textbook ratio to be at 1:1, physical facilities to be improved and these would bring quality education and good KCPE results. The results obtained would be useful in informing policy on the improvement of the KCPE performance in the Division.

In the paper, Institutional Change in Higher Education: Innovation and Collaboration, Hrabowski discusses how his institution has addressed the shortage of STEM graduates, particularly among groups that have been underrepresented in these fields, including minorities, women, and students from low-income backgrounds. UMBC has been recognized widely as a leader in higher education innovation. FACTORS THAT WE CONSIDERED IN LOOKING FOR AN ACCEPTABLE
LOCATION:
FACTORS RATIONALE
MANAGEMENT AND LABOR EXPERTISE •Is the management capable of managing the
affairs of the university and does it has an
adequate number of highly skilled and
knowledgeable staffs (Teachers/Professors) with
the help of supporting staffs including the lowest
possible level in the organization which will
contribute its overall success?
AREA DEMOGRAPHICS •Is there a demand in any ofthe locations in Metro
Manila and if there is, what would be its accurate
size based on the populations’ age, income level,
location, and the like?
ACCESSIBILITY •Is it accessible to the basic points of Metro
Manila and other necessary itineraries such as
hospitals, markets, or churches?
SAFETY •Would it be safe for students to pursue their
studies in a specific location?
COMPETITION •Would there be a rivalry among existing
competitors or can the organization be able to
sustain its life in the entrance of new competitors?
LAWS AND REGULATIONS •Is the organization capable of adhering the laws
and regulations relevant to the nature of the
business?
SUPPORT FROM THE GOVERNMENT •Will the government support the organization’s
advocacy to provide an equitable collegiate
education for qualified and deserved Filipinos?
7. 6
CONCLUSION:
After conducting a heavy research about the locations that are acceptable, we have come up to
decide thatwe should put up our campus in Diliman, Quezon City not just because of its rating but due
to some other factors. First is the knowledge and expertise, we concluded that we can hire highly
skilled teachers and school administrators because Diliman has high literacy rate of 99.74 according to
the recent statistics of Quezon City local government. and because of the lifestyle of people living
there, most of them can afford education. Second is the competition. Although we know that UP
Diliman and some other schools are well-known for their quality education, but they don’t offer it for an
affordable price, most of the times, only valedictorians and scholars can have an access for an
equitable education. The number of colleges around Quezon City is only 98 compared in EDSA and
other parts of Metro Manila. Third is the area demographics which we found out that as of the year
2015, it has 2,936,116 population composed of 376,808 aging from 16-21 years old and which
increases as another year goes by. Fourth is the accessibility which we know that Dimilan is near to
any hospitals, markets, and also other necessary itineraries. Most of the commuters around Quezon
City are roaming in Diliman for 14.24% of its land area of 161.126 sq. km. or 16,112.8 hectares is
dedicated to roads and highways, 1.41% ofit is an open space and 7.76% of it is a vacant space. Fifth
is the safety whether we like it or not, we should consider the safety of everyone inside and within the
vicinity of the campus. Compared to an updated Manila crime rate of 67.72% high, Quezon City is
comparably lower with only 59.61 in general. Sixth and seventh is the laws and regulations and support
of the economy which will substantially determine the success of an organization. It is often said that
even if the organization is putting all of its efforts to its endeavors, but without the support or with the
irrelevant support of any respectable group or external administrator such as local governments, it
would be far to reaching its goals.
