ÂĄ   $1.4 Million in ARRA funds

ÂĄ   All 6th & 7th Grade students receive 1:1 mobile
    device
    ¤   BOE agreed to fund 2011 8th Grade Students

ÂĄ   LIS & LMS Classrooms outfitted with new tech

ÂĄ   Partnership with St. Ann School (6th grade)

ÂĄ   All 6th-8th grade teachers participate in PD

ÂĄ   Coaches/Mentors work in classrooms w/staff
F UNDING
The funding allows us to provide the following during
   the 2010-2011 school year

ÂĄ   Grant Requirements:
    ¤   1:1 mobile device for every 6th & 7th grade student
    ¤   Device must follow students to 7th/8th grades
    ¤   Grant-funded technician for grant work only (19.5 months)
    ¤   Grant-funded tech specialist for grant work only (19.5 months)
    ¤   25% budget MUST be professional development
    ¤   Classrooms must be 21st century learning centers
    ¤   Projects must involve all content areas including related arts
    ¤   Evaluation & accountability must be evidence-based

        rich/critical thinking lessons for existing lessons in the
        current curriculum

         PD, interviews, benchmark assessments, exemplars of
